“Redhot Ranch wins based on value. It is just too good for the quality and quantity of food you're getting for the money.

I got the RHR double cheeseburger and a hotdog. All meals come with fries which means I got double fries. So much delicious food for under $15. And the smashburgers they have here are some of the best burgers in all of Chicago despite being under $10.

It's not all sunshines and rainbows though. There is practically no service here since it's like a fast-food place. They are cash only which can be annoying because I don't carry around a lot of cash. And if you decide to eat outside, you might want to get earplugs because it's right under the train tracks so it gets VERY LOUD.

But despite all these problems, the food is just too good to pass on. Besides, some of these factors give RHR its charm. There's just something about eating a greasy burger under grimy traintracks hearing the roar of the train go by as everything shakes under you.

For starters they messed up the order of two hotdogs with fries. Instead we received two overcooked polish sausage with greasy fries. I couldn’t consume more than two bites of either. It was obvious the grill and oil from deep fryer aren’t routinely cleaned. Failed on a grand scale!!!! Never going back to Jr’s.“

Family-owned businesses are typically the ones that have the best food because they do not necessarily look into mainstreaming menus and recipes. with smaller restaurants, you can typically find amazing price opportunities as well as some unique food that has not been released to the broad market. The hamburger was decent. To me, it needed a little more seasoning to it. Overall, it was good. I will visit again when I'm in the area.“
