“For a dine in restaurant, it was hectic and service was very rushed. No one checked in, service and tightness of tables brought the experience down. Food is higher caliber Chinese than normal, but the place really pumps you in and pumps you out.“

“I only wish I lived closer. This is one of my favorite spots and lots of celiac safe gluten free options. The owner Kei is always so kind and helpful with our orders and makes the experience extra enjoyable every time! My favorite dish currently is the beef mei fun!Dietary restrictions: So great being able to get celiac safe (gluten free) Chinese food! So often I can't guarantee the sauces are safe or that staff is knowledgeable about cross contamination but, that's not a concern at Bistro Chen! Always delicious and happy!“

“The Chinese place we frequented before closed years ago and we have been looking for a replacement. Chinese Ho is right down the road, so we gave it a chance. We all thought the food was very good and the service was pretty quick. We will go back and order some new things.“

“Tried a few places around here and I wish I tried this place sooner. The food was great and the online ordering process was excellent. I had pork fried rice, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, pot stickers, and one of the chicken entrees. Everything was delicious and a great value. I do wish there was more filling in the Rangoon but it was still tasty and fresh. My parents also liked it and we will return.“

“I am from out of town but make a point of eating here while I’m in the area. The owner is extremely friendly and will visit with you. The food is outstanding and the serving are huge. Meals are brought out very quickly. I highly recommend it.“

“This used to be my go to Chinese in Wheaton. It is a decent one but somehow, others in the area actually seem better. I have been going to others closer due to laziness. But this last time we decided we wanted the best and chose China Star. Turns out the lazy localer place is actually a little better imo (Jin's). But it is good to change up a bit because some places have some dishes that shine over others. I just need to start paying attention better.“

“Our waitress Brooke was amazing. Although we had to wait for a table well over our reservation time, she made up for it. She was very upbeat and willing to be as helpful as possible. She made light of the situation. Her presence was very positive.Vegetarian options: Mao Po tofu“

“We drive out of our way to get TL’s, it’s that good. We have dined in before, but mostly order take out. Never had a problem, food always tastes hot and fresh, and our order is always accurate. They do sometimes use dark meat in their battered chicken dishes and I personally prefer white meat and they always accommodate. They have one of the best crab rangoon appetizers with a fresh dipping sauce. I love this place.“

“Carried out for the first time based upon some positive chatter on the Neighborhood website. Spring rolls were 'meh, Crab Rangoon was okay, Shrimp Fried Rice, Cashew Chicken, Kung Bao Beef, Shrimp Egg Foo Young were all A+++++. Best I've had in years!!! Will definitely be heading back even though it's 20 minutes away.“

“My wife and I have been long time customers of East China Inn. After many years of decent food and mediocre service, we decided to try China House. I can say with certainty that the food is better at China House and the staff are much friendlier. We have officially switched teams! See you again soon!“

“I heard about this place by my little brother's recommendation and I went here with my husband for sweetest day as just a simple date. I was told to try the Hainan chicken and it was really good but my husband ordered beef and broccoli over vegetable fried rice and it was super wet. The rice itself was just very wet like maybe they used fresh rice instead of cold day old rice to make it. Service was ok, and the atmosphere is alright, nothing special. However, their prices are great, meat quality is much better than most Chinese restaurants, and they steam their Chinese broccoli perfectly“

“Solid food and fast pickup. They have accomodated every special request we have had and always get our order correct. I recommend the crispy beef, honey walnut shrimp, beef fried rice-ask for spicy, all white meat sesame chicken. Lo mein is spaghetti like noodles, not the thicker version. Pot stickers are delicious! Fried, thicker, chewy wrapper. Must try. I like how they have a sticker on the takeout containers that says who the chef was. We've never been disappointed with Lus.“

“Couldn’t find more authentic Northern Chinese food anywhere else. The fried noodles is my favorite and it reminds me of my childhood flavor. The noodles are different from those thin noodles you will find in other Chinese restaurants. The noodles are really doughy and the taste is awesome.“

“Three of us were meeting for lunch, so I suggested the East China Inn in Warrenville, one of my long-time favorites. We ordered from the Lunch Menu and started with hot tea, then we enjoyed the egg drop and hot and sour soups. We also ordered crispy egg rolls, which were served with sweet and sour and hot mustard sauces and cost only $1.00 each. Then, our entrees appeared. My egg foo young with chicken, beef and shrimp was accompanied by a large mound of white rice, while my friends had spicy-hot Szechuan dishes with fried rice. Our oversized meals were totally enjoyed by all of us and we had plenty of leftovers to carry home. To sum up our visit; delicious dishes, great quality, low prices, pleasant surroundings and good service.“

“Overall Thoughts: The “sister restaurant” of the recently closed 7 Treasures restaurant in Chicago Chinatown, Wonton Gourmet serves up dishes reminiscent of 7 Treasures such as their signature 554 dish and wonton noodle soup. Unfortunately, they don’t have the classic 7 Treasures meat combo dish with crispy pork belly, which was among my favorite things to order there. The prices are also higher than 7 Treasures, though still very reasonable. The service is quick and friendly, and the interior is spacious and nicely decorated. Located next to the 606 bus stop (which departs out of the Rosemont blue line stop), it’s convenient to visit even if you’re coming here without a car from the city.Food I tried:- Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup with Chinese Broccoli (+$2.75) (4.5/5): The wontons are delicious and taste exactly as they did at 7 Treasures. They’re flavorful with thin skin and umami soup, and the noodles soaked up the flavor of the soup quite well.—Price (relative to peers): 4.4/5Food: 4.5/5Ambience: 4.8/5Overall Value: 4.5/5“

“This is by far, the best Asian food I've ever had and I can actually say, best food in all categories. So delicious and so fresh and authentic. Absolutely the best! You will be very satisfied with larger portions and reasonable prices with warm and friendly owners. Food could not be better. Ten stars out of 5!Vegetarian options: Everything in menu can be made vegetarian“

“I am so glad that I didn't take some of the bad reviews. First off I am not a person that injoys oriental food, but my husband really wanted it. So I ordered the beef teryiaki and I have to say it was the best I have ever tried and I have tried alot because both my husband and daughter love oriental food. So Bao please keep up with the great food and thank you because for the first time I enjoyed it very much“

“Best sushi in the area! So so fresh and love the seasonal offerings, I love the coconut lady roll and the angel hair roll. Of course I can’t forget the classic Philly which hits the spot every single time. I know they had to raise their prices as did everyone else which sucks because they were already on the higher end. So not grabbing it as often but still a go to.“

“The food here is beyond delicious. The BEST chinese food I have ever had. I had orange chicken with white rice and broccoli beef with chicken fried rice. The chicken and beef were extremely tender. Sauce was amazing! I will definitely be back.“

“Great food and service. We traveled to Chicago a day before our flight to Asia. It was a heavily snowing night and the restaurant was quite empty. However the owner was greeting us nicely and giving us some really good recommendations. The twice cooked pork belly and beef chow fun are our favorite. They were cooked just right with great smoky scent. I definitely would come back to this restaurant next time we visiting Chicago“

“We strayed from our typical go tos to give this Chinese / Vietnamese spot a shot and it didn’t disappoint. Food was good. The service was prompt. Restaurant is situated in the downtown area of Wheaton which I thought was a cute area.Highlight for me would be the beef pho. Broth was delicious. Meat quality was good and served with all the fresh toppings and sauces (hoisin & sriracha) you’d expect to adjust to your taste. The lemongrass pork appetizer was nice to start with. The fried rice my son throughly enjoyed. The duck noodle soup was okay. The pan fried seafood noodles were average and not much noodles to be honest.Anyways I’d probably come back for the pho as there aren’t many Vietnamese options around here.Til next time, cheers!“

“This place has great authentic Chinese cuisine, good honest service, if you call and they are busy, they will tell you a wait is ahead and how long to expect it before they even take your order. A sign that they have great food and they care about their customers. Some of the best places I have got Chinese food from have been "holes in the wall" and this place is no exception, and as long as the food keeps tasting this good, I could care less about the ambiance.“

“Great Chinese and Asian food, Thai and Korean. Good portions and decent prices. Service is great, very attentive. Huge variety of smoothies and boba drinks. Large open space can be loud at times but not crushing. My wife found the Korean soup especially great and better than many Korean restaurants. See picture.“

“Good spot for takeout. Overall food and service is good. Food is always ready timely and fresh. My only issue is that they pack their Mongolian beef with mushrooms. I’ve never seen this at any other restaurant and was not really a fan of the mushrooms in a Mongolian dish. Their crab Rangoon, egg rolls and friend rice are great. I’m still trying to find my favorite main dish. The sesame chicken was okay.“

“The food was good typical American Chinese food, prepared fresh and served hot. Where the restaurant really shines is in the fun interior Tiki decor and excellent service. The restaurant seems like a family-run business that tries hard to make sure you have an excellent experience. Our server was knowledgeable about which foods were and which were not gluten-free. She explained which are not typically gluten-free but could be prepared that way. The very sensitive-to-gluten member of our party was able to safely eat here.Dietary restrictions: Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and what was gluten-free or could be prepared in a gluten-free manner. In our experience, food preparation practices are appropriate as our highly gluten-sensitive person was able to eat here with no reaction to the food.“

“First time trying this place. I ordered for pickup and when I arrived it was waiting there so efficient. The sweet potato and aac rolls were good. The Mongolian beef had great flavor. The fried rice didn’t have any flavor and was dry. Lastly I had ordered two meals and they only gave me one set of chopsticks and zero napkins. Food was good enough to go back, but the little things are worth noting.“

“There’s Not Too Many Good Suburb Chinese Take-Out Restaurants. This One Is Actually Pretty Good As Far As Pricing && Taste. I Ordered The L-08 Sweet and Sour Chicken Lunch Special with My Rice Fried Spicy && the Sweet n’ Sour Sauce Placed On The Side. The Portions Are A Good Size For All (Chicken, Rice, && Sauce). Everything Was Fresh n’ Hot. As Far As Customer Service, The Lady Who Answered My Call && Prepared My Order Upon Arrival Was Quiet Yet Pleasant. Everything In My Order Was Correct && Prepped The Way I Requested It. As For Atmosphere, It’s Very Clean && Quiet. You Can Only Here The Clicking n’ Clacking of The Pots && Pans. There is Only Seating Available To Wait For Your Food && No Options To Dine In. Which Is Okay Because I’d Still Order From Here Again.“

“In my 35 years of existence, this might been the best shrimp fried rice I have ever experienced. The rice was so flavorful.General Tso chicken at many places is generic, flavorless clumps of meat, but here the general tso chicken dish was much better.I wish more chinese restaurants cared to have flavor in the food, like Mandarin Bistro does.“
