“The best Chinese buffet! The staff is friendly and attentive. The food is so delicious! It’s not a fancy place, but they don’t need to be! They do best what matters, the food! It’s a humble place where you feel full & comfortable.“
“One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the Chicagoland area. Very good food and nice employees. The best food item - the smoothies, which are economical, fresh, and refreshing. Genuinely excellent smoothies. Not much in restaurant seating, seems to be mostly a take out or delivery restaurant, but there is small casino. Food comes out pretty quickly.Parking: Parking lot for larger strip mall“
“Came here with my daughters for dinner and had a fantastic evening! Our server Kent was very attentive, refreshed drinks without being asked, knew menu well and had great recommendations !Definitely would love to return for a repeat!Thank you Kent for making it a memorable evening“
“My husband and I went here to celebrate him getting a job and our 6-month anniversary of getting married. (The waiter didn’t ask, so we didn’t share that detail)We did the Changs for Two menu and it was amazing! We started with the dynamite shrimp, then had the Mongolian beef with steamed rice, side of beef fried rice, and were ambitious enough to get the Great Wall of Chocolate for dessert (a la mode).I can’t handle too much spicy, so trust when I say the dynamite shrimp were still enjoyable.I also don’t like chocolate that’s too rich, so the ice cream was a nice balance with the slice of cake.“
“Update 4/7/24It’s been like a year since I was last here but we decided to give it a try again. We came here for a late lunch. It’s located in a small outlet, so parking can be limited since it’s shared. They do have some places to sit and eat but it’s limited especially during peak hours. When we came in, we practically had the whole place to ourselves. I believe it’s family owned and the owners are very nice and attentive. They have one gender neutral bathroom. We ordered stir fried lamb with onions, sweet and sour pork with pineapple, and shrimp, chive, and egg dumplings. Portion sizes are very generous and prices are reasonable.-stir fried lamb with onions 5 - lamb meat is very tender, requires very little chewing.-sweet and sour pork with pineapple 5 - most Americanized Chinese places, the pork would be soggy, but here the skin is very crispy. Pork inside is succulent.-shrimp, chive, and egg dumplings 5 - I really liked how they listened to my feedback from last time and added more moisture inside. They were definitely juicier and tastier than before. Skin is thin, good sized dumplings, and flavorful.Rating is 4No, the owners have not changed. I recommend getting dishes that are not the typical Americanized Chinese dishes like mongolian beef. Try something new and different.Dumplings I would give 4/5. I’ve tried several different kinds but they could be juicier. They have good flavor, just a little dry. I’ve tried shrimp, chive, and egg, beef onion, lamb carrot, and chicken and cabbage mushroom.Scallion pancake was too dry for me. It could use more flavor.Quick fried sauteed intestines were very tasty. I really like this dish.Shredded pork dishes were good. Spicy is really spicy. Shredded pork is not dry, is moist and just a little chew.Portions are generous. Service is good, they take care of their customers. Prices are fair for all the food you’re getting.“
“First time visit. Ordered mu shu pork and Mongolian beef. Both were excellent. Ordered crab ragoons and egg rolls for apps, also good. The service is excellent. They are fully staffed and offer outstanding customer service. Very service focused, and they have the staffing to do so. I will return.“
“Visiting J’s was a delightful experience ! The food was bursting with flavor and made with care. They owners are not Muslim but everything they serve is completely Halal, it's wonderful to support such a welcoming and inclusive place. The staff were friendly, and the ambiance was inviting. Don't miss out on trying their Sichuan Wontons in spicy broth… it was so good that we even took two orders to go with us“
“Really great food - I had the Kung Pao chicken, and my 99-year old Great Aunt has been eating Beef Chop Suey for at least 50 years, so I guess that she's somewhat of an expert taster, lol. Neither of us had previously tried this unassuming, tidy place that also has frozen dessert specialties. We both were very happy with the flavor and freshness of our dishes, and I have to say that this is TRULY one of the best in the area- can't wait to go back and grab some more deliciousness from these fine folks! :)“
“Went for team dinner, recommended if you like Indian with Chinese fusion dishes. Overall great experience with food. We tried garlic noodles in veg & chicken. Those were thin and tasty. Must try.In Veg panner & okra were delicious. Chef special pomfret was okay, nothing special. Chicken lollipop were crispy & yummy. Chili chicken with gray was again okay.“
“Updated 3/9/24: Food is still awesome as always. Prices are very reasonable.Been a regular here for 10+ years.P.S. A 15% tip is automatically added to the check now, which is fine, but just as an FYI for everyone else.Recommended: Bak Kut Teh (Herbal Pork Rib Soup), Malaysian Fried Kway Teow, Black Pepper Udon with Beef, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Salted Fish Fried Rice, and their off-menu/secret Fried Tofu appetizer (with Bean Sprout Toppings and Peanut Sauce).Kid-friendliness: Plenty of high chairs available“
“The food was really great, huge portions for a good price. We did have to wait a while even though we had a reservation. It felt a little chaotic, but we did have 12 in our party, so probably that was the reason. They are super busy, give them a lot of credit handling so many in a small space. I do plan to go back, maybe takeout, though.“
“If you're craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine in downtown Wheaton, look no further than this charming family-owned restaurant. The staff's warmth and attentiveness enhance the dining experience, making you feel right at home. Their soups and pho are nothing short of amazing, delivering rich flavors that transport you to the streets of Hanoi. However, it's worth noting that prices here are a bit on the higher side. But for the quality of food and service you receive, it's a worthwhile indulgence for any Vietnamese food enthusiast.“
“First impressions walking in it’s old, they need to update a lot of stuff. Don’t let that scare you off because I smell nothing but cleanliness in the restaurant so I definitely wasn’t scared to eat there. The service quick and easy. I had the jumbo shrimp fried rice which was delicious, no excessive oils, no weird taste. I also tried the pot stickers and those in themselves were all worth it. The biggest pot stickers I’ve have and the sauce was so good. I don’t know if it’s made in house but some of the best sour sauce I’ve had.“
“This place never fails to provide great food and a huge selection of choices. Their Dim Sum is one of the best in Chicago and means you don't have to go to Chinatown to get great Chinese food. Too many dishes to mention, but I'm sure you will be thrilled with any choice you make.“
“We went here for the first time expecting it to be a sushi place - but it's not. It's sit down Chinese - and very good too! Was a pleasant surprise! The Orange Chicken tastes like orange! The almond chicken was perfectly velveted. The lo mein was delicious and satisfying.Service was a little spotty. We had to remind them to take a drink order and they seemed a little confused when we did that. They seemed to forget about us at the end of the meal as well - sat there for a while waiting to get a check. The place was clean, cozy, quiet, and comfortable. Great for a date night. We are totally going back.“
“I haven't had Chinese takeout like this since I moved out of the city. So happy I decided to try it despite crummy reviews. So I have to give some updated feedback. Can't speak to ambiance as I ordered for delivery. Food was fresh and tasty. It's not gourmet, but food is not too greasy and well balanced flavor wise. The crab rangoon are popcorn pop-able delicious which is different in a good way. The egg rolls are not giant like you see at some places, but they are crispy and well balanced with flavors instead of being overstuffed with watery cabbage like is so common in many places. Similarly with the fried shrimp they appear smaller but are not over-battered. The pork fried rice is full of flavor and not fatty. You get a choice of thin or thick noodles for lo mein. I went for the thin and they are super skinny like Singapore noodle style. So delicious. I ordered simple basics to test it out but based on my experience today I will be exploring the menu more.“
“the food here is amazing!! they made an adjustment for me because i'm a vegetarian and made tofu in a dish served with meat. i also ordered a lot of things spicy and they did not fail! super quick & sweet people. i will be coming back“
“Lu’s was recommended and we couldn’t be more pleased. A great choice and nothing disappointed. Crab Rangoon was delicious, pot stickers were dense and fill of flavor and the Mongolian beef simply the best I have ever had. There was a sweetness to the gravy and I can’t wait to have leftovers today.“
“Nice place. It's bigger that what the storefront would suggest.Quite a large selection of Canton, Hunan, Mongolian and Szechwan dishes. They also carry a wide selection of Sushi dishes, which I do not eat.Beer selection is pretty much Asian brews. The wine list is rather limited. If you go here, it is for the food, which is quite tasty.“
“Tonight was our first time dining at 8000 miles and to say we were impressed would be an understatement! The food was great and some of the best we've had in a long time! We had amazing service from Yan Yan! She was attentive and made great suggestions! We will be back! Highly recommend the sesame chicken and pineapple cashew fried rice!“
“This is the BEST Chinese food I have ever had. It is authentic, fresh and home made. The noodles are amazing. You can tell they are freshly made. We try to get something different every time we go there just so we can try everything and we have never had a bad dish. The leak pancakes are fablous as well as the soup dumplings! I tried the tomato, eggs and noodles and that is my new favorite. It is a very comforting dish. I can't say enough about the food. From the mapo tofu to the biang biang noodles all the way to the soy sauce eggs - you can't go wrong. The owner is very friendly and the place is clean and comfortable. This is a MUST TRY!!“
“We love a good chinese restaurant. We try them all. This one is a drive from us but we were in the area. We came with a couple kids that we didn't know if they would eat. Luckily, the food was so good, even picky eaters dug in. The egg rolls were top notch to start and they have some of the best hot and sour soup. Egg drop soup was also great but I might skip the wonton soup. The chicken fried rice was so excellent, it could have been my meal, but we ate family style with the family meal deal they have. The deal is too good to pass up. The sweet and sour chicken, general tzo's, sesame chicken were all great but I found the green beans with beef to be cravable. Also my daughter got chicken egg foo yung and thought it was ok, but I thought it was excellent. Service wasn't the fastest, but we were not in a hurry. And the server was so nice that I couldn't complain. And i love a place with lots of room and you can sit and eat and not feel rushed. The decor is what you would expect and it was cute. Can't wait to come back! I want a crab rangoon.“
“We buy crispy smelt to go here and those are the best! So cruspy even the nect day. Second time we dined in last night. All the food we ordered are authentic chinese and so delicious. We ordered hongkong steak, kung pao chicken- perfectly cooked and the sauce and spiciness is not overpowering.; yeong chow fried rice is yummy too, salt and pepper chicken is not what we expected. We were expecting a chicken but this is chicken strips covered in batter but it turned out really good too. Service is fast and tge owner is akways nice. The place is a typical chinese restaurant with round rables and booth. They just need to remove the table where they put the bakery products, it's just in the way when you walk to the tables.“
“I got delivery (from delivery service, the restaurant doesn't deliver to des plaines) twice I love love the egg Foo young. Best I've had since moving to burbs 17 yr ago. Orange chicken very good Only complaint is the chix rice soup was chix, rice and about a spoon of broth. I was really needing the broth I'd like to visit the restaurant if I ever get that way w friends that drive“
“My new favorite restaurant ? service is good a bit awkward to the teenager who was in the front cause he keep staring us whileeating ??But we proceed enjoying our meal and had a family dinner. We order the New hong-kong fried rice, salt and pepper shrimp (NO SHELLS), and this beef with crispy noodles on it. My favorite of the most.? but unfortunately we forgot to take pictures of the fried rice due to my kids is starving and cannot wait to eat ??“
“i can’t even put into words the way this food made me feel. i came in expecting a nice bite to eat but i came out a new person. since i had the very affordable yet delicious food for the first time, i have started many charities building wells in africa with the extra money. i could not recommend more for anyone looking for their place in life“
“We've been a few times...today the service was slow and my lunch Mongolian Beef had almost 0 pieces of beef. Otherwise, food is of good quality...but after a couple visits it seems like something is sort of off.Kid-friendliness: No kids menu.“
“Twin Dragon's has the best chinese food in the area, much better than Ye's which is right accross the street. Their dinner specials are very generously portioned for the price. I have tried many different entrees and everything has always been delicious, my personal favorites being the Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming.“
“They had a new waitress that took us in at 8 pm and we didn't realize they were closed. The nice lady still took our order and was super kind enough to keep the place open. Unfortunately due to some family emergency, my husband had to leave and pick up his mother and I was left there, the lady that took our order, I think she was the owner herself, she made me feel comfortable and when I had asked if I could pay now and take the food to go, she was EXTREMELY kind to help me pack up and get checked out. She kept apologizing like it was her fault she was TOO kind. We will be back soon during restaurant hours.Dietary restrictions: They have plenty of vegetarian options and gluten free as well.“
“We've tried and 10 different Chinese places in the western suburbs. Definitely not all of them, but we've yet to find a place that stacks up against Peking. Throughout the years, they've stayed at the top of the list for the category of "cheap Chinese food". The food is fresh, crispy, flavorful, and plentiful. The service is always warm and friendly. The location is a bit dingy, but it's a takeout place anyway.“
“we to this restaurant for my birthday and the food was great we liked it because they have sushi and Asian and Thai dishes my grandsons were with and they also had a kids menu.My husband had chicken fried rice , I had double fried noodles that had a very good sauce and my daughter sushi that she said was also fresh and very good . I had a drink with dinner the waitress recommended that was a mangoitini that was great , the good was very good the service was really good and we liked the look of the restaurant.I would definitely be eating there again a lot of different dishes to choose from and nice atmosphere. We also had appetizers that was calamari and crab Rangoon the calamari was very tender and the kids and adults enjoyed tge crab Rangoon.“
“Don’t order online for delivery! The system accepts the order 40 minutes before closing, then cancels it 20 minutes later when it’s too late to order from somewhere else instead.Best to pick up, then it’s awesome. Don’t forget about the cash discount / card surcharge!“
“There’s Not Too Many Good Suburb Chinese Take-Out Restaurants. This One Is Actually Pretty Good As Far As Pricing && Taste. I Ordered The L-08 Sweet and Sour Chicken Lunch Special with My Rice Fried Spicy && the Sweet n’ Sour Sauce Placed On The Side. The Portions Are A Good Size For All (Chicken, Rice, && Sauce). Everything Was Fresh n’ Hot. As Far As Customer Service, The Lady Who Answered My Call && Prepared My Order Upon Arrival Was Quiet Yet Pleasant. Everything In My Order Was Correct && Prepped The Way I Requested It. As For Atmosphere, It’s Very Clean && Quiet. You Can Only Here The Clicking n’ Clacking of The Pots && Pans. There is Only Seating Available To Wait For Your Food && No Options To Dine In. Which Is Okay Because I’d Still Order From Here Again.“
“I've visited Happy Lamb where I live in Houston, and the experience was the same. The quality of food was good. I'm just not a fan of the broth selections. I feel as though they're not flavorful enough. I frequent a restaurant here in Houston called Volcano Hot Pot, and their soup broth is insane! Idk if it's because it's Korean inspired or what. The service was great as well as the atmosphere. I would visit again if it's winter and I'm in town and want to hot pot.“
“We haven’t been here with family in awhile, but we will definitely be coming back. The prices were very fair, quantities good, and the flavors very authentic and so good. I’d recommend the stir fried beef with fresh chili (山椒小炒牛), dry chili fish filet (香辣鱼片), and the salt and pepper Japanese tofu (椒盐豆腐)。“
“The Chinese place we frequented before closed years ago and we have been looking for a replacement. Chinese Ho is right down the road, so we gave it a chance. We all thought the food was very good and the service was pretty quick. We will go back and order some new things.“
“Delicious ? Chinese food. Hot n sour soup especially delish. Pot stickers, egg rolls take your pick all very good. For a main course twice cooked pork broccoli ? and beef are my favorites but all are very good!Carry out only and cash ? only. So call up and order today or “
“Epic sigmas feast at this place...heh...if youre a sissy beta you won't enjoy it but heed the alpha's warning this is a top tier dining experience...it felt like I was defending my pack..heh...would try again great...great...Vegetarian options: epicDietary restrictions: epicParking: epicKid-friendliness: epicWheelchair accessibility: epic“
“I can never say enough about Chinese Kitchen in Naperville. I’ve been enjoying their food and service for so many years. They’re consistently great food and genuinely helpful/kind/thoughtful/friendly….staff are excellent!!! Thank you, thank you & thank you. I LOVE Chinese Kitchen “
“Whenever we have cravings for sushi or some softshell crab and deep fried tonkatsu. We actually drive to Lombard just for that. Delicious food. Their dine in is closed after Covid. But Stanley lets us grab a table to eat our fill. 3 words DE-Li-Cious“
“Since New Wok hasn't reopened and prices at House of Emperor have slowly been raised thru the roof, we tried here and got 4 dishes we have ordered at many Chinese take out places or even in Chinatown. Here we go: Chicken Chop Suey-excellent! Sauce is tasty, plenty of bean sprouts and pea pods, good amount of tender chicken, trimmed nicely of any fat. Beef Fried Rice-very good. Although it had yellow onion instead of the more normal green onion, and scrambled egg was kinda sparse. Still very good. Beef With Broccoli-would have also been excellent except it had sweetness, I have always hated sugar added to my Americanized Chinese food. BBQ Pork Egg Foo Yung-same comment as the beef with broccoli. The gravy for the egg foo was VERY sweet. Too sweet for me! The only option is large which is 3 paddys not the usual 4. I think without the sugar it would have been very good. Purely take out here, it was obvious they used to have a sit down business at some point but not now. Extensive menu, see their website and either phone order or online order.“
“Hidden gem located in the suburb area. Friendly staffs, clean and comfortable seating restaurant with decent size menu. Reasonable price with the portions. Foods arrived pretty quick. Plain Egg noodles soup was on point with light broth, the egg noodles were perfectly cooked. Tender beef in flavorful black pepper sauce, peatips sprouts and water spinach were delicious in light flavor with garlic. Beef Chow fun was good not overly oily. Overall we enjoyed our quiet dinner. We can’t wait to return .“
“Small restaurant but good food. Most customers opted for takeout, as the restaurant itself isn't anything special. We decided to eat there and waited awhile for the soups, but that gave me the impression they made them per order, and the taste pretty much confirmed it. The chicken egg foo young was tasty and fresh. The large portion came with four sizeable pieces with rice. Two pieces were enough to fill me up. The owner was friendly and personable, even through her broken English It's definitely nice to support small businesses, and I recommend this for anyone craving fast casual Chinese.“
“fantastic food and very sweet owners. first time there and will definitely go back. great prices. i got the sesame chicken, my friend got the orange chicken, and we shared an order of the large chicken fried rice. the portions were generous and we both have leftovers for another meal or two. the chicken fried rice was heavy on the chicken which we loved. great little hole in the wall place. thanks google maps for the recommendation!“
“The combo plate is a good option and value for money. This was our first time here, and we would definitely stop in again if in the area. Very limited seating, which is probably fine 99% of the time. I got the shrimp kow. Others got the beef fried rice and shrimp & Lobster sauce. Very enjoyable overall.“
“By far the best Chinese take out in the area! Consistently good, have enjoyed their food for over 35 years! So glad we can still enjoy their food. Look forward to every order! We have our typical order but every on e any a while we will try something new and have never been disappointed!!! I moved to the west side of town but will still drive for the best!“
“Golden Wok II is a favorite spot for really good local Chinese food... People are very nice, helpful & turn out consistently fresh delicious food... I usually get delivery - never an issue & always prompt & friendly... They use to have dine in & I loved to go for the lunch buffet with a variety to satisfy anyone...But since COVID it's ONLY pickup, delivery & catering... It hasn't been so easy, but their food is STILL top notch!!! Their brown egg foo young gravy is the Standard & the best I've ever tasted... Here are some of my favorites... Eggrolls, Stir Fried Rice, Crab Rangoons, Shrimp Foo Young, Beef or Chicken Broccoli or with Pea Pods... They make any dish however you want, some changes & or additions come with a small fee, but the consistent quality is hard to beat! Place is nice & clean, it's on the north side of Roosevelt Rd, just a few blocks east of 355 Xway in Glen Ellyn! They have a private lot & ample parking ...Cash or credit... They've been in business since 1980 & I've enjoyed all their yummy food for more than 20 yrs...Average rating is over 4 stars for past 43+ yrs!Congratulations & thank you Golden Wok II, a very satisfied & returning customer... PaulVegetarian options: They have many vegetarian options & they will make any dish however you like it...“
“I walked in during lunch and got the kung pao chicken combo with chicken fried rice. It was ready in just 10 minutes. The portions were very big and the food was very tasty. I eat a lot of chinese food and this was one of the best. I'll be coming back“
“Our favorite Chinese place closed a year ago. We tried so many and were disappointed time and time again. Then we stumbled upon Jin’s. Everyone in the family LOVES their dishes, they are reasonably priced and they are super nice people. We are thrilled to have found a new regular spot for Chinese!!“
“Had lunch here, the place is decorated very nice, tables and booths have plenty of room. The lunch special (sweet sour chicken) came with rice, veggies, egg roll.and soup. Was very tasty, served hot. Service was attentive, I will be back! Should have come sooner.“
