“Since New Wok hasn't reopened and prices at House of Emperor have slowly been raised thru the roof, we tried here and got 4 dishes we have ordered at many Chinese take out places or even in Chinatown. Here we go: Chicken Chop Suey-excellent! Sauce is tasty, plenty of bean sprouts and pea pods, good amount of tender chicken, trimmed nicely of any fat. Beef Fried Rice-very good. Although it had yellow onion instead of the more normal green onion, and scrambled egg was kinda sparse. Still very good. Beef With Broccoli-would have also been excellent except it had sweetness, I have always hated sugar added to my Americanized Chinese food. BBQ Pork Egg Foo Yung-same comment as the beef with broccoli. The gravy for the egg foo was VERY sweet. Too sweet for me! The only option is large which is 3 paddys not the usual 4. I think without the sugar it would have been very good. Purely take out here, it was obvious they used to have a sit down business at some point but not now. Extensive menu, see their website and either phone order or online order.“
“Food was ok. Not excellent, wishing it was...a little irritated about cash being required for food costs less than $20.00. Seems all the prices have been increased as the menu had strips of colored paper with newly written prices. Didn't that increase cover your bank charges for credit card charges??? Also this notice of "cash required for orders under 20.00" is at the register. If notice would have been on the front door I could have checked that I had enough cash before I entered and ordered. I did have enough money but, I also had a sour flavor before I even tasted the food.“
“My wife and I visited Bombay her birthday weekend and when I tell you, they exceeded our expectations.. The Buffett was amazing and varieties they had arranged were amazingly good.. the server Carvalho was a wonderful server/host and his knowledge of the food we tried was remarkable...Our first Indian food experience and we will be back...“
“Love this place! The crispy green bean appetizer is our favorite. Veronika, our server, totally made our date night! She was very attentive and helpful! Her menu knowledge made it easy on choosing something different for dinner! Can’t wait to go back and try something new again! Thanks again to Veronika!“
“Visiting J’s was a delightful experience ! The food was bursting with flavor and made with care. They owners are not Muslim but everything they serve is completely Halal, it's wonderful to support such a welcoming and inclusive place. The staff were friendly, and the ambiance was inviting. Don't miss out on trying their Sichuan Wontons in spicy broth… it was so good that we even took two orders to go with us“
“Amazing food. I eat here whenever I'm in the western suburbs. The soup dumplings are very good and highly recommended. I also recommend the stir fried pancakes which aren't really pancakes at all but a type of noodle. They do taste somewhat like pancakes though.Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian options including pan fried noodles with veggies and vegetable side dishes.Parking: There is plenty of parking“
“Alright, so I've gotta spread the word about Xi'an Cuisine. I've been grabbing takeout from here several times and, let me tell you, it's consistently awesome every single time. There's something about opening that takeout box and getting hit with the smell of hot, fresh food that just makes my day.The flavors here? Absolutely amazing. It's like each dish has its own little flavor party going on, and trust me, your taste buds are definitely invited. Whether it's a spicy kick or a subtle, savory blend, these guys know what they're doing. It's the kind of food that makes you pause mid-bite and go, 'Wow, that's good.'And the best part? It's just down the road. I mean, sure, I could try other places, but why mess with perfection? It's gotten to the point where I'm like, 'Why would I go anywhere else when I've got this gem right here?'If you're in the area and haven't tried Xi'an Cuisine yet, do yourself a favor and give it a go. Whether you're a regular takeout connoisseur or just looking for a new spot to try, this place won't disappoint. Trust me, your future self will thank you.“
“First impressions walking in it’s old, they need to update a lot of stuff. Don’t let that scare you off because I smell nothing but cleanliness in the restaurant so I definitely wasn’t scared to eat there. The service quick and easy. I had the jumbo shrimp fried rice which was delicious, no excessive oils, no weird taste. I also tried the pot stickers and those in themselves were all worth it. The biggest pot stickers I’ve have and the sauce was so good. I don’t know if it’s made in house but some of the best sour sauce I’ve had.“
“First time here. Pictures looked really good online. You absolutely have to come try out the food here. I got the lemongrass beef! Great portion size, but the taste is sooooooo good! The beef was tender and juicy. I almost forgot my manners is tasted so good! My new favorite spot!!!“
“The food was really great, huge portions for a good price. We did have to wait a while even though we had a reservation. It felt a little chaotic, but we did have 12 in our party, so probably that was the reason. They are super busy, give them a lot of credit handling so many in a small space. I do plan to go back, maybe takeout, though.“
“If you're craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine in downtown Wheaton, look no further than this charming family-owned restaurant. The staff's warmth and attentiveness enhance the dining experience, making you feel right at home. Their soups and pho are nothing short of amazing, delivering rich flavors that transport you to the streets of Hanoi. However, it's worth noting that prices here are a bit on the higher side. But for the quality of food and service you receive, it's a worthwhile indulgence for any Vietnamese food enthusiast.“
“Lao Sichuan has the most authentic and consistently amazing Chinese food to be found anywhere in the U.S. Having spent some time living in China while I was in undergrad, there are certain flavors that I crave, which your run of the mill American style Chinese restaurant will not have. My wife and I live in St Charles and make the 1 hour 20 minute round trip at least once a week to get our fix. The food is that good. The owner is seemingly always there, and obviously genuinely cares about ensuring quality in what is served every time. Our favorites are Chengdu Style King Pao Chicken, Ma Po Tofu, Beef in Pure Cumin Powder, Toothpicks Lamb, and the Xiao Long Bao. I cannot for the life of me fathom how this restaurant does not have a higher rating. It is the best. Try it. You won't regret it.“
“When I used to live in the North burbs (Deerfield / Highland Park), there were these pick-up & go “americanized” chinese restaurants that had very good food, excellent quality, inexpensive yet the portions were exceptional. This place is very similar. There is no in-dining seating at most of these sites (a few exceptions), but this no-frills approach keeps the prices relatively low compared to dine-in eqivalents. However, there is no dim-sum, assorted dumplings nor any specials that are “extravagent” such as crispy Peking duck mu-shu style. But for what was ordered and the price point, its worth a visit.Ordered combo appetizer which came with a pork eggroll, 2 crab rangoon and 2 fried shrimp rings. Served hot and crispy, this was what was to be expected, and nice serving size. The chefs special pan fried noodles with combo chicken, beef, shrimp and vegetables was on-point. Again the pint serving, imo, is worth 4 meals (~4oz each). I have had many pan fried noodles over the decades and this was a very good version. The owners are friendly and deliver the food on-time. I was there 10 minutes prior to the promised time, which was delivered at exactly 10 minutes as I waited (I didnt mind the wait). It paid off as the food was still piping hot when I got it home.“
“We went there last night and got a take out order. I love Chinese food. This food is the best ! The staff is very friendly and polite . The food is so good that this is My go to restaurant when I’m in Elmhurst from now on. I am very delighted that we stopped in .“
“I haven't had Chinese takeout like this since I moved out of the city. So happy I decided to try it despite crummy reviews. So I have to give some updated feedback. Can't speak to ambiance as I ordered for delivery. Food was fresh and tasty. It's not gourmet, but food is not too greasy and well balanced flavor wise. The crab rangoon are popcorn pop-able delicious which is different in a good way. The egg rolls are not giant like you see at some places, but they are crispy and well balanced with flavors instead of being overstuffed with watery cabbage like is so common in many places. Similarly with the fried shrimp they appear smaller but are not over-battered. The pork fried rice is full of flavor and not fatty. You get a choice of thin or thick noodles for lo mein. I went for the thin and they are super skinny like Singapore noodle style. So delicious. I ordered simple basics to test it out but based on my experience today I will be exploring the menu more.“
“Came for the rave reviews about their dim sum and they didn't disappoint. Food was hot, fresh, tasty, good portions and staff was very attentive. Really have to hand it to the chefs. Although decor is nice, they really should've spent more time or money in hiring quality painters and that includes the restrooms. It would make the place so much nicer for a place that is touting to be a high end cuisine. Been told it's been open for about 4-5 months and will definitely be back for lunch or dinner.“
“Lu’s was recommended and we couldn’t be more pleased. A great choice and nothing disappointed. Crab Rangoon was delicious, pot stickers were dense and fill of flavor and the Mongolian beef simply the best I have ever had. There was a sweetness to the gravy and I can’t wait to have leftovers today.“
“This place never fails to provide great food and a huge selection of choices. Their Dim Sum is one of the best in Chicago and means you don't have to go to Chinatown to get great Chinese food. Too many dishes to mention, but I'm sure you will be thrilled with any choice you make.“
“This is real home cooked Chinese food! Very simple old school stall in a food court but don’t let the surroundings fool you. This place is worth the 45 min drive for me. Best Chinese food in Chicago imo. LOVE the scallion pancakes. Everything tastes “
“We went here for the first time expecting it to be a sushi place - but it's not. It's sit down Chinese - and very good too! Was a pleasant surprise! The Orange Chicken tastes like orange! The almond chicken was perfectly velveted. The lo mein was delicious and satisfying.Service was a little spotty. We had to remind them to take a drink order and they seemed a little confused when we did that. They seemed to forget about us at the end of the meal as well - sat there for a while waiting to get a check. The place was clean, cozy, quiet, and comfortable. Great for a date night. We are totally going back.“
“I have tried all the Chinese food within a 20 mile radius after my old Chinese restaurant closed after the owners retired after 18 years. Oriental Taste is the best Chinese food I've ever had! I've eaten Chi-Tung in Evergreen Park and this place blows everyone away! A+++“
“Food was good. Hit the spot. We had HK style chow mein with beef and it was good. Bbq pork fried rice was good. The pork flavor was subtle but tasty. Singapore style green beans were good. Cooked perfectly, wasn't undercooked with "chaulky" beans. Fresh! Peking duck was good. Not as fancy as some places but passsble and tasty. A few steps above Panda. Servers were good and attentive. Quality service.“
“We love a good chinese restaurant. We try them all. This one is a drive from us but we were in the area. We came with a couple kids that we didn't know if they would eat. Luckily, the food was so good, even picky eaters dug in. The egg rolls were top notch to start and they have some of the best hot and sour soup. Egg drop soup was also great but I might skip the wonton soup. The chicken fried rice was so excellent, it could have been my meal, but we ate family style with the family meal deal they have. The deal is too good to pass up. The sweet and sour chicken, general tzo's, sesame chicken were all great but I found the green beans with beef to be cravable. Also my daughter got chicken egg foo yung and thought it was ok, but I thought it was excellent. Service wasn't the fastest, but we were not in a hurry. And the server was so nice that I couldn't complain. And i love a place with lots of room and you can sit and eat and not feel rushed. The decor is what you would expect and it was cute. Can't wait to come back! I want a crab rangoon.“
“The environment is so peaceful, extremely clean, staff is pleasant. The rooms are large with plenty of seating for party of ten, love the YouTube unlimited access, sound system was flawless. The food was fresh & delicious and those who had drinks truly enjoyed them☺️. Hourly increments was just right Looking forward to returning soon“
“I am honestly so confused by this place. We visit family in the area about once a year and I always look forward to the Pad See Ew here, they get the noodles so wonderfully crunchy, they are the best noodles I've ever had. The Pad Thai on the other hand is pretty disgusting... overcooked, mushy noodles, generic, bottled sauce, and hardly any veggies at all. I know that the owners are not Thai but how can they do one noodle dish so well and fail so hard at another??? Egg rolls are good.“
“I go here at least twice a week! The food is so good and they are CONSISTENT! There are a few Chinese food spots in the area but I will never stray. I’m from Chicago and our Chinese food is top tier so I was afraid I wouldn’t find anything comparable. I was wrong!“
“Twin Dragon's has the best chinese food in the area, much better than Ye's which is right accross the street. Their dinner specials are very generously portioned for the price. I have tried many different entrees and everything has always been delicious, my personal favorites being the Orange Chicken and Mongolian Beef. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming.“
“We buy crispy smelt to go here and those are the best! So cruspy even the nect day. Second time we dined in last night. All the food we ordered are authentic chinese and so delicious. We ordered hongkong steak, kung pao chicken- perfectly cooked and the sauce and spiciness is not overpowering.; yeong chow fried rice is yummy too, salt and pepper chicken is not what we expected. We were expecting a chicken but this is chicken strips covered in batter but it turned out really good too. Service is fast and tge owner is akways nice. The place is a typical chinese restaurant with round rables and booth. They just need to remove the table where they put the bakery products, it's just in the way when you walk to the tables.“
“i can’t even put into words the way this food made me feel. i came in expecting a nice bite to eat but i came out a new person. since i had the very affordable yet delicious food for the first time, i have started many charities building wells in africa with the extra money. i could not recommend more for anyone looking for their place in life“
“Authentic and really wide range menu items, including tofu jelly/pudding, fresy soy milk, and fried dough. Family business with the family working during the weekend. There are 4 restaurants at the International Mall food court (next to Park to Shop asian grocery store) and this place is by far the busiest. Great value and great food.“
“This started as trying to find a back-up for Chinatown. WOW! This place is amazing... we call it "5 Minute" because that is what the lady first told me on the phone, and she wasn't kidding... for lunch, that is. Their Lunch Combos come with an egg roll, a bottle of water, a huge serving of shrimp fried rice, and your large order. I LOVE their Shrimp Kow, it is so flavorful, I'm sure anything China House makes is wonderful. Oh, best yet, you get all this for under $12. This is actually 3 meals for me, so I know you construction guys will have enough to eat here for lunch. Enjoy!“
“Large parking lot that is usually empty or plenty of spaces. It’s next door to Park to Shop. There are technically 4 restaurants, you may see 5 but 2 of them are connected. The Serbian restaurant is almost always dead, not a lot of customers. It’s a shame because Serbian food is pretty tasty. On the weekends, they have Taiwanese breakfast at Chinese Cafe. Usually a long line. Good mix of Chinese and Taiwanese food. I would like to see them add more of the popular Taiwanese dishes. Prices are usually cheap to moderate. Good size portions.“
“We've tried and 10 different Chinese places in the western suburbs. Definitely not all of them, but we've yet to find a place that stacks up against Peking. Throughout the years, they've stayed at the top of the list for the category of "cheap Chinese food". The food is fresh, crispy, flavorful, and plentiful. The service is always warm and friendly. The location is a bit dingy, but it's a takeout place anyway.“
“Good! If you haven't tried it give it a try. My favorite is the deep fried tofu with chilis, and their vegetable dishes are good too (I have had the string beans, as well as the eggplant several times. It focuses on take-out, but you can eat in the food court area.“

“Been coming here for some many times and the food always served hot fresh and fast..food tastes always amazing portion and prices reasonable..if you love wonton with noddles this is your place..serve with different topping your choice price varies..always serve hot“
“Ordered accidentally b/c this was on doordash and didn't realize it was a bit far from our Northbrook home and very happy we did! Everything was fresh and delicious. Asked for veggies to be added to the Shrimp lomein and rather than the load of cabbage and green peppers we get from other Chinese restaurants they added a nice mix of mushrooms, peapods and broccoli. Tasted like homemade noodles too! Egg foo young and other dishes were great as well. If they don't mind coming out this far - we don't mind ordering!“
“This eatery is a culinary gem that whispers the secrets of Taiwan through its dishes. The mastermind behind this authentic Taiwanese kitchen? A chef who once commanded the kitchen of a high-end establishment, now pouring her expertise into a space that humbly masquerades as a food court. Yet, the simplicity of the setting belies the extraordinary flavors that await. Among the myriad of dishes, the Taiwanese Pork Chop Bento stands as my personal favorite. Accompanied by an ensemble of side dishes and rice, the pork chop is marinated to perfection, it’s juicy, bursting with flavors that are both bold and comforting. Here, the pork chop transcends its humble origins, rivaling, if not surpassing, its counterparts back in Taiwan. Why, you ask? The sheer generosity of the portion amplifies the experience, each bite more satisfying than the last. Sometimes, more is indeed more. For those in pursuit of the quintessence of Taiwanese cuisine, look no further. This unassuming spot in Naperville, devoid of any pretense of ambiance, is where your quest concludes. This is a culinary narrative, rich and unfiltered. In the pages of this food court’s menu, you’ll find authenticity that’s rare, flavors that speak of the distant island of Taiwan, and a reminder that the essence of a place can often be found in the most unexpected locations.“
“The Chinese place we frequented before closed years ago and we have been looking for a replacement. Chinese Ho is right down the road, so we gave it a chance. We all thought the food was very good and the service was pretty quick. We will go back and order some new things.“
“I've visited Happy Lamb where I live in Houston, and the experience was the same. The quality of food was good. I'm just not a fan of the broth selections. I feel as though they're not flavorful enough. I frequent a restaurant here in Houston called Volcano Hot Pot, and their soup broth is insane! Idk if it's because it's Korean inspired or what. The service was great as well as the atmosphere. I would visit again if it's winter and I'm in town and want to hot pot.“
“Epic sigmas feast at this place...heh...if youre a sissy beta you won't enjoy it but heed the alpha's warning this is a top tier dining experience...it felt like I was defending my pack..heh...would try again great...great...Vegetarian options: epicDietary restrictions: epicParking: epicKid-friendliness: epicWheelchair accessibility: epic“
“My wife and I went here for the first time today. The service was great and the place was very clean. But the food was so amazing. The beef broth in Pho was so good that you could drink it alone. Everything was so fresh. One thing I would say is just offer everyone chopsticks.“
“We haven’t been here with family in awhile, but we will definitely be coming back. The prices were very fair, quantities good, and the flavors very authentic and so good. I’d recommend the stir fried beef with fresh chili (山椒小炒牛), dry chili fish filet (香辣鱼片), and the salt and pepper Japanese tofu (椒盐豆腐)。“
“Food was amazing! It was so good I came back for second round. The people helping you are very nice too. Their portion sizes are very fair. Their prices for food aren’t bad. This is my favorite restaurant. Definitely recommended for people who really enjoys food and smoothies. Definitely coming here much more “
“I can never say enough about Chinese Kitchen in Naperville. I’ve been enjoying their food and service for so many years. They’re consistently great food and genuinely helpful/kind/thoughtful/friendly….staff are excellent!!! Thank you, thank you & thank you. I LOVE Chinese Kitchen “
“Whenever we have cravings for sushi or some softshell crab and deep fried tonkatsu. We actually drive to Lombard just for that. Delicious food. Their dine in is closed after Covid. But Stanley lets us grab a table to eat our fill. 3 words DE-Li-Cious“
“Best Wonton Soup! I was cold from the inside out all day, and this soup warmed me up. So tasty and delicious! Haven’t had anything from here that I didn’t crave weeks later! Spring Rolls … crunchy and delish! YummmmBusiness owners are friendly and very helpful always! The Best in town!“
“We love Malahini Terrace! It is our favorite place. My spouse and I usually eat in under the cute thatch huts and twinkle lights. We get the meal for 2, which includes soup (hot & sour, egg drop) egg rolls & crab rangoon, and choice of two entries. Our picks are the Oriental Plate (pork fried rice, BBQ pork & BBQ ribs) and the Malahini Beef (tender straps of beef and veggies). This last time, we ordered out to feed our family of eight. Plenty of food, with leftovers for another day! Don't forget the fortune cookies and the silly way to read them. Wink wink.Always delicious! Yum!“
“The roast duck, with its skin so impossibly crisp, it shatters like glass under the slightest pressure, revealing the succulent, spice-infused meat beneath. Dipped in a sweet plum sauce, a piece of Cantonese heritage on a plate. Then comes the char siu, that iconic Cantonese barbecue pork, its edges charred to perfection, the meat tender, almost sinful in its juiciness. The marinade, a complex blend of honey, soy, and fermented tofu, clings to each slice, a sticky alchemy of Cantonese cooking. It’s sweet, savory, and utterly addictive, the kind of dish that haunts your dreams, compelling you to return. The Cantonese oil chicken, a masterpiece of simplicity. Poached in a master stock that’s a closely guarded secret, the chicken is impossibly tender, its skin silky, almost translucent. Served with a side of ginger scallion oil, it’s a dish that balances the richness of the meat with the brightness of fresh herbs, the simplest flavors are the most profound. Sitting here, chopsticks in hand, surrounded by the clatter of plates and the murmur of satisfied diners, I'm struck by the depth of flavor, the craftsmanship, and the sheer joy that is Cantonese barbecue. It's an experience, a journey through the heart of Cantonese culture, and one that I'd walk a thousand miles to taste again.“
“Update 4/7/24It’s been like a year since I was last here but we decided to give it a try again. We came here for a late lunch. It’s located in a small outlet, so parking can be limited since it’s shared. They do have some places to sit and eat but it’s limited especially during peak hours. When we came in, we practically had the whole place to ourselves. I believe it’s family owned and the owners are very nice and attentive. They have one gender neutral bathroom. We ordered stir fried lamb with onions, sweet and sour pork with pineapple, and shrimp, chive, and egg dumplings. Portion sizes are very generous and prices are reasonable.-stir fried lamb with onions 5 - lamb meat is very tender, requires very little chewing.-sweet and sour pork with pineapple 5 - most Americanized Chinese places, the pork would be soggy, but here the skin is very crispy. Pork inside is succulent.-shrimp, chive, and egg dumplings 5 - I really liked how they listened to my feedback from last time and added more moisture inside. They were definitely juicier and tastier than before. Skin is thin, good sized dumplings, and flavorful.Rating is 4No, the owners have not changed. I recommend getting dishes that are not the typical Americanized Chinese dishes like mongolian beef. Try something new and different.Dumplings I would give 4/5. I’ve tried several different kinds but they could be juicier. They have good flavor, just a little dry. I’ve tried shrimp, chive, and egg, beef onion, lamb carrot, and chicken and cabbage mushroom.Scallion pancake was too dry for me. It could use more flavor.Quick fried sauteed intestines were very tasty. I really like this dish.Shredded pork dishes were good. Spicy is really spicy. Shredded pork is not dry, is moist and just a little chew.Portions are generous. Service is good, they take care of their customers. Prices are fair for all the food you’re getting.“
