“Since New Wok hasn't reopened and prices at House of Emperor have slowly been raised thru the roof, we tried here and got 4 dishes we have ordered at many Chinese take out places or even in Chinatown. Here we go: Chicken Chop Suey-excellent! Sauce is tasty, plenty of bean sprouts and pea pods, good amount of tender chicken, trimmed nicely of any fat. Beef Fried Rice-very good. Although it had yellow onion instead of the more normal green onion, and scrambled egg was kinda sparse. Still very good. Beef With Broccoli-would have also been excellent except it had sweetness, I have always hated sugar added to my Americanized Chinese food. BBQ Pork Egg Foo Yung-same comment as the beef with broccoli. The gravy for the egg foo was VERY sweet. Too sweet for me! The only option is large which is 3 paddys not the usual 4. I think without the sugar it would have been very good. Purely take out here, it was obvious they used to have a sit down business at some point but not now. Extensive menu, see their website and either phone order or online order.“
“Food was ok. Not excellent, wishing it was...a little irritated about cash being required for food costs less than $20.00. Seems all the prices have been increased as the menu had strips of colored paper with newly written prices. Didn't that increase cover your bank charges for credit card charges??? Also this notice of "cash required for orders under 20.00" is at the register. If notice would have been on the front door I could have checked that I had enough cash before I entered and ordered. I did have enough money but, I also had a sour flavor before I even tasted the food.“
“Epic, memorable lunch. We ordered steaks, and they were perfectly prepared and grilled. The strip steak was a perfect medium as requested, and my filet mignon was a delicious medium rare. No gristle, very tender. Barry, our waiter was accommodating, efficient, and flawless. We had 2 special requests that he honored without blinking an eye. Barry's not your run of the mill waiter. He's entertaining and funny without interfering in conversations. From beginning to end, it was a textbook perfect dining experience.“
“This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is good, service excellent, and atmosphere nice. I had dinner here and they had a new spring menu. My only complaint is that the food menu is a little limited; I would have expected more options. I had the salmon, which was very good, and paired with an appetizer of the crab cake. Finally, the wine selection is more than sufficient.Parking: Parking is not an issue: plenty of space and easy to find.“
“I found this gem by chance. The food is beyond amazing, I had the fermented seafood pho. OMG!!! The flavors were so good, and nothing was overpowering. You know you're in a great place when the owner is greeting customers like they're part of the family. This will definitely be a return visit the next time I'm in town.“
“The highlight of my dining experience was, without a doubt, the Barramundi. This dish is a testament to the chef's artistry and the kitchen's commitment to sourcing the freshest, most sustainable produce. The barramundi, a fish known for its buttery texture and delicate flavor, was cooked to perfection. Its skin was crisped to a golden hue, encasing the moist, flaky flesh within. It was served atop a bed of vibrant, seasonal vegetables, each bite a harmonious blend of earth and sea. Parker Restaurant is not just a place to eat; it's a destination for those who appreciate fine dining in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor passing through, a meal at Parker promises not only to satisfy your hunger but to leave you with a lasting impression of culinary excellence.“
“My dining experience here was great, our server was Matt, he was very attentive, made sure our experience was great. The food didn't take too long considering they had a big party going on while we were seated. Definitely recommend coming in here ! And ask for Matt he won't disappoint!“
“If you want true Italian cooking and a friendly atmosphere, then Mangia Napoli is the place. I cannot express enough how great the food is! Thank you to Fonz, Eddie & Vinnie for the excellence in food. Fonz the Zuppa you prepared for our anniversary was beyond excellent! Many thanks“
“Came here with my wife while we were in town for a marriage conference. It was a busy Saturday night, but we had a reservation so the wait wasn't bad. Service was excellent and they got us helped very promptly, even with the full house!I ordered pollo marsala (pictured) with The Godfather (drink). Both were excellent! My wife ordered the pappardelle al nonno and she liked it as well. Great atmosphere as well. Would recommend the high tables if you're on a date as they're a bit more tucked away.Parking: We went on a Saturday evening (6:30 reservation) and didn't have any issues finding parking. Used the side lot which is shared by the other businesses nearby and found a couple spots immediately.“
“Overall, this was a decent steakhouse. My husband and I came here on the last day of restaurant week this year, as we love trying different steakhouses. The service was great and our server was attentive despite the busy dinner rush we had entered. The food was decent. For our starter, I got the SRF Wagyu Meatball with Whipped Ricotta and Basil Pesto which was very good. My husband got the lobster bisque which was a bit cold when we got it. For our entree, my husband got the center- cut filet mignon and I got the Double Cut Prime Pork Chop. Again, my dish tasted more on point than his. Both of our desserts hit the spot though! We got the hot chocolate cake and the hazelnut chocolate mousse! Overall, there were some slight misses but definitely a lot of hits!“
“I had the shrimp and grits and it’s very delicious. It looks tiny but they give you so much shrimp and it’s very filling. The drinks are delicious and will get you a good buzz. They should play more yacht rock music to fit the vibes better imo. Other than that it’s a great place to eat and it deserves more attention.Parking: Plenty of parking available“
“We were seated at a booth in the bar area. It was comfortable but the noise level was a bit elevated. Would have preferred being seated in the dining room. Our server was attentive and courteous. Both of our cocktails were incorrect, but the bar order was rectified. Food was tasty and ample. The cioppino was way too spicy (hot). Chef went overboard on the red pepper flakes. Overall, a pleasant dining experience and we would recommend Devon to others.“
“We went to this restaurant for a family event. There were nine in our party and because of our party's size, we were seated in the building next to the restaurant. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable and the food was beyond delicious! We had heard good things and everything we heard was true. If you are looking for good Italian food, this is the place to go.“
“I was pleasantly surprised by everything; service, food & cost. Will definitely be going back for more. Had skirt steak & eggs with pancakes instead of toast. The cut of skirt steak was proper length, width & thickness. No weird thin cuts here. Also, the pancakes are amazing. The waitress was so friendly & attentive that she is the gold standard & one of the best I've had anywhere, my entire life. Nothing over the top of phoney, just a darn excellent person.“
“First timer here and I will be back. Great service— perhaps due to time of day and it not being busy— but the servers were constantly asking/making sure I had enough side dishes and/or if I needed anything else.My meal came with refillable tea which was very nice. I got the bulgogi bento box and it was really delicious and worth the money for everything I got on my plate. I would love to try some of their other staple dishes as well. The vibe of the place was nice; they had k-pop music playing and a very clean aesthetic. I’ll def add this restaurant to my rotating list of staple places to eat at.“
“I enjoy this restaurant. They have a great bar and make a wonderful old fashioned. Their oysters Rockefeller are out of this world. Best I have ever had and I’ve been to Antoine’s. Crispy chicken wasn’t. It was in a sauce and wasn’t special. Cheesecake Factory has better elote, and Jimmys hotdogs on Grand has better fries. We have had the steaks in the past and they are very good. Yesterday was like eating at a McDonalds playland. The couple seated after me saw where the host was going and said no, they wanted the remote room. I’ll remember that. You can at least have the adults in a quieter area. The service wasn’t great. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to come and get the drink order. Not exaggerating. A group who came after us were served dinner before we got our appetizers. The host came over often but it seemed kind of odd. They couldn’t figure out how to give us separate checks. But I’ll go back and have oysters as an entree or a steak.“
“I had dinner here while traveling. Great spot. Sat at the bar. Had a Caesar salad, fire baked bread, and the prime rib, plus a bourbon. Food was excellent, service was really good by the bartenders who waited on me as they did not rush me to try and turn customers which I really am a fan of. 5 stars, would eat here again.“
“The staff is extremely friendly and personable. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything that we tried was outstanding. We were suggested the cheesecake for dessert and it was incredible. I hope everything works out with the amazing family that owns this small but awesome business and they are able to stay open at the current location or move to another.“
“Enjoyed Market Table. Plenty selection of vegetables but limited fruits (papaya is not fresh, orange is OK).There were no artichokes and sun dried tomatoes.Salmon (too soft, lacking texture) and prosciutto was dry, not fresh.Excellent service, especially James.Music was loud; even waiters complain. We couldn’t hear well.Other Fogo de Chao Chicago area locations have more variety and freshness for the same price.“
“I had just left a review somewhere else about how I've never had a restaurant that served both ramen and sushi where the ramen was actually decent, but there's a first time for everything, right? The restaurant itself is quaint, but comfortable and has a nice ambience. I sat right in front of the sushi making area so I had a nice little show while I ate. The server was nice and took my order quickly and checked in on me enough.I had ordered both a miso ramen and a couple pieces of tamago nigiri. Funny enough, while my usual complaint is the ramen at a sushi restaurant, today it's more of a small complaint about the sushi! The sushi itself didn't taste bad at all. It was well-made, in fact. My only "complaint" was that the tamago was still very cold from the fridge, but still really tasty. It didn't affect my overall experience. The ramen was great and the presentation was really nice. I'm really fond of miso ramen in general and they made it really well here.Noodles: The noodles are thinner, springy, and chewy. They were pleasant to eat and tasted amazing. They had a nice neutral taste that went well with the broth.Broth: The broth was rich and savory and had a good miso flavor. It was served perfectly hot.Toppings: The pork tasted like it was marinated well and was nicely braised. The egg wasn't marinated in anything and was a plain soft boiled egg. The bamboo shoots also tasted good on their own. I also enjoyed the corn last in the broth. Everything worked well both separately and together.Overall, I was very pleased with Lili Sushi & Ramen! I'll definitely be coming back to enjoy the other bowls of ramen offered here!Vegetarian options: They have vegetable ramen“
“If you haven’t checked this place out yet you absolutely said I went in for dinner with my family, but stopped at the bar first Kim and Brian were amazing and so much fun. I loved their energy George was our server he super friendly we had a lot of laughs! Thank you! Be back “
“Excellent Thai food for sure however I have one pet peeve: We ordered a curry dish and the white rice portion was tiny. When I got up from the table to ask for more they charged me $2 more. Curry is served over rice. How cheap can you get? You can buy white rice in 25lb bags for $18 and that's a retail price. No excuse here, sorry. This is unacceptable.“
“First time here and Lilly explained the entire menu and was just a great waitress with a great attitude! I got the seafood boil with added mussels and my gosh was it so tasty with different levels of spicy. I got the medium and it was just perfect. I found my new favorite seafood boil place!! I will definitely be retuning more often!“
“This is the BEST Poke Bros in the area! The staff are friendly and they offer a punchcard for frequent eaters. We love customizing our salmon & tuna poke bowls with cucumber, edamame, ginger, jalapeno, pineapple and so much more. Avocado, mango, and seaweed salad are $1 extra. Get the mochi (3 for $5.50), you have 13 flavors to pick from, including espresso, toasted coconut, passion fruit, cake batter, and purple ube!“
“My family were in last night celebrating my father’s life in his passing. We have been dining regularly since the 1970s at the Orland location. This was my father’s favorite pizza by far. Always a sausage, green pepper, mushroom & onion-IN THAT ORDER ONLY! Marnee took excellent care of us & the pizza was exactly the same as I remember it at Orland! Keep up the great work! Cheers!“
“I would definitely recommend if you are looking to try something new that is healthy and tasty. Their menu items and drink options are unique and I loved the smell of toasted coconut while enjoying my meal. Make sure to get one of the dole soft serves!“
“The food & service were great! Kelly was an excellent server and so patient with my autistic little brother. We enjoyed our burgers & the wings were great.Only con is that the women’s bathroom smelled horrible. It appeared to be clean, but the smell was really bad. Perhaps some bleach or re-tiling would do the trick.Overall, great experience. I just wouldn’t use the bathroom there.“
“Alright, so I've gotta spread the word about Xi'an Cuisine. I've been grabbing takeout from here several times and, let me tell you, it's consistently awesome every single time. There's something about opening that takeout box and getting hit with the smell of hot, fresh food that just makes my day.The flavors here? Absolutely amazing. It's like each dish has its own little flavor party going on, and trust me, your taste buds are definitely invited. Whether it's a spicy kick or a subtle, savory blend, these guys know what they're doing. It's the kind of food that makes you pause mid-bite and go, 'Wow, that's good.'And the best part? It's just down the road. I mean, sure, I could try other places, but why mess with perfection? It's gotten to the point where I'm like, 'Why would I go anywhere else when I've got this gem right here?'If you're in the area and haven't tried Xi'an Cuisine yet, do yourself a favor and give it a go. Whether you're a regular takeout connoisseur or just looking for a new spot to try, this place won't disappoint. Trust me, your future self will thank you.“
“excellent food and service. The grilled artichoke is amazing. Don't know why they don't serve "Arnold Palmers"....they never seem to have lemonade in stock. Worth several revisits.Thai Kai salad and grilled rainbow trout....what a lovely lunch combination ?Seared ahi tuna...wild rice orzo and Citron tea...a new favorite combo“
“We do steaks and king crab legs every Xmas Eve. We checked a number of places for king crab legs. Many didn't have them, OR had the crab clusters. Not the same thing. Supreme Lobster had them, and much more. We'll be going back thru the New Year for fresh seafood!“
“Discovered this place recently and wanted to give it a try. We picked 3 of their signature bowls for a pick up. It was not busy and the order was ready waiting for us. The place was clean and the lady working there was friendly. The portion is good, food was fresh and overall had a good experience with our first order. However, for a to-order I thought the sauce could be placed on the side for people to control how much to mix in.“
“Had the porkchops, it was enough for three people and was incredibly good. The restaurant is a well oiled machine, just getting people in, fed, and out the door. Everything was fine, no complaints. Just not relaxed and quaint for my taste but this is what you should expect from a good steakhouse in the center of a popular higher end shopping center. We went on a Saturday night and Parking was a nightmare.“
“I dearly wish I had taken a photo of the Connecticut Roll when I enjoyed it at Black Horizon this past Saturday, Seafood is super fresh, and served up by a great bunch of Guys. Word of warning, reserve the Rolls in advance because they sell out quickly“
“I ordered on May 29th, and indicated that I have Celiac disease (gluten intolerance). I mistakenly ordered a portion of my bowl that included gluten ingredients. They attempted to call me twice (I missed it) to let me know. Even though I did not answer, they delivered the food with the gluten containing ingredient separate with a note to be careful. I am so impressed, and it is so hard to find safe places to eat as a Celiac. The extra care and time to make sure my food was safe really impressed me... not to mention the food was fresh and so delicious! I applaud the staff for their attention to detail and care, and am making Poke Bros a staple take out.“
“We went tonight for dinner and were shocked! As regular customers we were surprised by the UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT sign. We were also told NO ALCOHOL.Jose you and your family will be missed. We are saddened that we were unable to say ..you will be missed and your in our thoughts and prayers. We hope to see you again soon!Mike & Louise , your friends at the bar!“
“I had a Great Experience as soon as I entered the door and was greeted my Miss Christina (Carryout). She greeted me with a smile, and assisted me with my order. I just had to let the manager Miss Tammi know how Miss Christina made me feel after a long day of work. I said at the bar and Rob was awesome. He made me the best drink ever “June Bug”. And the food was delicious“
“Visited "Catch 35" recently on a date and had a great time. The staff were very courteous, helpful and respectful. They explained things well, and made great recommendations. Hats off the the chef, the best cooked scallops I've ever had. All the dishes were delicious and my date loved it too. My only complaint would be the serving plates; they made the serving portions look small.“
“My 1st time here.Excellent place for good food and live entertainment. I had the largest fried Shrimp ever and they were amazing. We went for the fantastic Shindig 60's band, the top local band in the Chicago area. They were outstanding, as usual. The band stage was WAY too small but worked. It needs to be reconfigured to a larger size and the lighting needs to be adjusted because taking pictures didn't work.My suggestions :1. Remove the tv's since you're really not a good venue as a sports bar. Add more tables under the tv's.2. Expand the band area and include an area for dancing. Too many people were dancing around the tables.5 separate dining areas. Lots of seating.I rated 5stars because it was an exceptional situation with St. Patrick's Day, the staff was overwhelmed with the crowds but were amazing under the circumstances.03/16/24 was St. Paddy day celebration. We had a reservation 1 month in advance. Thank goodness. But we still waited 30 minutes for our table because the wait staff wouldn't get the previous people to leave our table. This needs to be adjusted.Parking: Free parking but on an occasion, like St Patrick's day, get there early.“
“Title: A Flavorful Journey through Filipino Delights: A 10/10 ExperienceNestled within a welcoming atmosphere exuding family-friendly vibes, Val’s Kitchen Plus serves as a gateway to the heart of Filipino cuisine. During my recent visit, I was enchanted not only by the scrumptious dishes but also by the warm hospitality that defined the experience. The ambiance struck a perfect balance between cleanliness and an inviting aura, making it an ideal spot for a delightful dining escapade. It emitted the essence of a genuine family-oriented restaurant, welcoming patrons with open arms. However, what truly stood out was the impeccable service. The staff at Val’s Kitchen Plus were paragons of hospitality, displaying a genuine eagerness to ensure a memorable dining venture. Their attentiveness and friendliness added an extra layer of comfort to the entire experience, making it feel like dining among friends. Now, onto the stars of the show—the dishes. The palabok, with its vibrant medley of flavors, offered a harmonious blend of textures and tastes that tantalized the palate. Each bite of the meticulously prepared noodles coated in a rich, savory sauce, adorned with an array of toppings, left an indelible mark on my taste buds. The lumpia, a quintessential Filipino favorite, showcased culinary finesse at its best. Crispy on the outside and bursting with savory goodness within, it was a true testament to the artistry of Filipino cuisine.Among the desserts that crowned this remarkable culinary journey, the bibingka emerged as a standout. Its coconut-infused layers of rice cake, boasting a sweet, creamy texture, were a delectable revelation—a perfect marriage of tradition and flavor that left a lasting impression. In conclusion, my time at Val’s Kitchen Plus was nothing short of exceptional. From the savory delights of palabok and lumpia to the sweet finale with the mesmerizing bibingka, each dish resonated with authenticity and skillful preparation. Coupled with the inviting ambiance and the exceptional service, my overall experience surpassed expectations, earning it a resounding 10/10 rating.“
“This is real home cooked Chinese food! Very simple old school stall in a food court but don’t let the surroundings fool you. This place is worth the 45 min drive for me. Best Chinese food in Chicago imo. LOVE the scallion pancakes. Everything tastes “
“Service was slow, but the manager did come over to apologize. Our server was very nice. Food was fabulous!Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of parking and accessibility, although the front door was hard to find and not easy to open - needed someone to hold the door to get in.“
“Food was really good! The pulled pork sandwich was excellent! The burgers were delicious! The kids meals were good! I'm only keeping it at a 4/5 stars because we waited for almost an hour for our food. The waitress was great and everything about it was great! I would definitely recommend and go here again, just don't be in a hurry.“
“Loads of options on an attractive menu. Restaurant has a fun vibe with great tiles and flowers hanging from the bar. We went with another couple and ordered drinks that were all well done – we love the chips and homemade roasted tomato salsa that they brought to our table. We then shared the guacamole which was a generous serving and very fresh, I had ceviche with shrimp that was a generous mound served with avocados on top and it was delicious. The service – although they were trying really hard – was slow and very spotty. We ordered drinks and only three of the drinks came and about 10 minutes later the fourth drink came. All our meals came together except for my husbands which came about 15 minutes later, which didn’t make for a smooth me out together. The portions were generous, and the food was fresh, and I would definitely go back. For a family place, the music was blaring and unnecessary, there are a few areas that they could improve on but the reason we went was the food and it was fantastic.Parking: Loads of parking around the building at st the strip shopping center.“
“I love this place!!! I have followed this place around everywhere they moved. The place is small more like a takeout, not fancy at all. But there’s some sitting available for you to eat if desired. Nick, is always friendly and knows his stuff. The breading in the food adds to the wonderful taste of the food! I always get the large bag of shrimp with mild-sauce, to me taste and flavor is everything! Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.Parking: Parking is right outside the establishment.“
“The best “fish fry” that we’ve experienced thus far in downtown Elmhurst or possibly all of Chicago!!! Why do you ask? The owner / management team (Dominic Ranieri & Nicolette Ranieri) aims to please by offering the true and proper “haddock and chips”! The batter is perfectly proportionate to the size of the fillet and not greasy. Then comes one of the best old fashions we’ve had. Why? Their amazing bartender, Evey, knows exactly how we prefer them and she never disappoints. Last, but certainly not least, the service is always impeccable from our most favorite waitress, @Alisandra Mondrella! She’s prompt, professional, and always with a smile! Thank you again for the first class experience!!!“
“Kid-friendliness: Several quotes from the kids this experience. When are we coming back here again? This was in the top 3 or 4 places we’ve been! I wonder if there is a job that’s just a crab leg cracker? So, we all loved it. Popped in for an anniversary outing on a Lent Friday. Highly recommend the Coconit, Ubi, and Mango frozen dessert. Nothing we would have ordered but they comped it for our anniversary and it was the perfect ending to a delicious crab dinner (and everyone’s breath is better for it). We will be back soon!“
“Food is AMAZING here, it's always fresh and ready in 10-15 minutes and comes with great sauces. Service was friendly and very helpful if you didn't like your food or if you wanted anything extra they were always ready to help! They also have some good vegetarian and vegan options!“
“I had the KBBQ at Four Seasons cafe and I cannot express how amazing it was. Everything from the food to the environment was fantastic. An important point to mention is that the menu is not All you can eat, although the staff will allow you to make substitutions when necessary. We chose from options of chicken, beef, and seafood and cooked them to our desire. The meat was seasoned well and tasted amazing, and the experience of cooking it ourselves as a group was an experience I cannot wait to try again. Lastly, the drinks were easily some of the best I’ve ever had, especially the piña colada that was served in a pineapple. If you go to four seasons just for the drinks, you’d be getting your money’s worth. Can’t wait to also try the steaks and lamb chops!Dietary restrictions: Zabiha Halal“
“OMG best little place in carol steam, I'm here Sunday night no one is here and I am wondering why, I had a drink called sunshine, it's pineapple, orange, strawberry juices is delicious. I had crab legs, corn, potato, eggs, salad came with meal, the dressing on salad was very different but soft and delicate, the crab was very clean, sweet and plenty. ordered the cajin house, mild still had a kick of spice but perfect. If I could give this place a 10 star it would get an 11. Fabulous delightful very quiet, server's was not a pest, but cleaned up right away. I still don't know why it's not packed. This is a must go to if your in carol stream IllinoisParking: Plenty of pull in spotsKid-friendliness: Tv, kids menue“
“The pot roast, parmesan scallops and shrimp bisque were wonderful. The pork roast was good. The restaurant was full with groups gathering and chatting while enjoying themselves. It was loud. Great place for friends.Parking: Great for wheelchair.Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible.“
