“Gpay didn't work and I had no physical card. After trying the Gpay several times, I gave up. The manager asked for the drink I was drinking back, lol. I got in the car, saw my wallet in the seat and decided not to go back in. “I saw the Choula and Lime ad on social media and came into to have a Philly cheesesteak with that flavoring. Jack who was working during the freezing weather conditions let me know it was only used for a wings rub but said he could try to make it as a cheese steak by mixing butter instead! He was very friendly and accommodating, willing to go above and beyond to help me. They were also closing soon and I was going to take my meal to go but he insisted that my partner and i dined in so the food stayed warm. Absolutely made my night because I got exactly what I wanted and it was a delicious cheesesteak!“

I even asked the cashier to give tap water and they said that they do not have cups. “Excellent service and a really nice atmosphere, with plenty of good food choices, especially if you’re looking for healthier options. Two of us had breakfast along with lattes, and the total came to around $60 before tip, which feels pretty typical for inner city Chicago pricing.
The maple bacon was fantastic. We did wait about 15 minutes, but the place was clearly busy, so it made sense. Overall, a great experience.“

“In the past I was not really a Jerk food type of guy, but I love this place. The food was fresh and seasoned just like I like it. The overall atmosphere was great as well. Super clean sitting area with quiet music and television while you wait for your food. I've been there twice already, and will definitely be going back. “My daughter had the cheese sticks and fries. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The fries are definitely so good.. my chicken sandwich seemed like it was made sloppy with that lettuce. Just throw it all over there and two pieces of chicken breast. No cheese.

“Stopped in for dinner with my husband, who told me this was his childhood favorite, and I can see why. The entire inside of the restaurant is full of retro memorabilia that brought me back to my childhood, the quality of their food is top notch, and not to mention the portion sizes are 100% worth the price. “As soon as you walk in, you get to see their menu and easily just say menu 1 or 5 and get your order placed quickly and be able to sit down as you watch the cars pass by, the cashier is a nice person to talk to about your day while you wait for your food.

“Portillo’s Chicago on Addison is always a reliable stop. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and well organized, which makes dining in very comfortable even when it’s busy. Their Italian beef sandwich is excellent and lives up to the reputation, but for me, the real standout is the double cheeseburger — easily one of the best burgers in the world. 🍔
The quality, portion size, and consistency are exactly what you expect from Portillo’s. Also, don’t forget that drinks come with free refills, which is a nice bonus. A classic Chicago spot that delivers every time.“
