“Back when I lived in the area, Irish Times had just opened and I stopped in to have a Guinness. Now, I have had Guinness all over the Chicago area and never has a Chicago pint ever approached the magical, otherworldly flavor of a pint consumed in Ireland. I don't know if it's the water, the proximity to the brewery or just some kind of strange magic that happens to Guinness in Ireland, but I've never had better. That all changed when I drank that first pint at Irish Times. It was easily the best pint of Guinness I've had outside the Emerald Isle. I've since left the area and have had pints all over the United States and Canada. Nothing has approached the quality, freshness and taste of the Guinness at Irish Times in Brookfield. If you are lucky enough to be nearby, don't hesitate to make a detour to the pub. You will not regret it.“

I'm gluten free and I LOVE that everything is labeled with an easy to read GF symbol so it helps me identify what I can and can't eat. The gluten free buttermilk pancakes were excellent. My husband had the corn beef skillet and he said his bloody mary was great as well! We'll definitely be back! Felisa was super friendly and made sure to answer my questions about gluten precautions.“

“We were able able to make a reservation via Google, and when we arrived they were expecting us. The staff is really nice, took our drink order right away (coffee and waters) and then our food order soon after. I loved my endless cup of coffee and banana crepes. One person ordered chiquillas, which looked great. We added meat sides later, which came right away. The bill was totally reasonable (no separate checks tho, FYI), and everyone left full and happy.“

“I have nothing but compliments for this wonderful establishment! My fiancé and I went out to dinner last night and had a taste for authentic Italian. I found this place online and read nothing but wonderful reviews about the food, and service. Located in downtown Westmont. Parking was so easy (right across the street), and from the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. The manager Sergio greeted us with a huge smile, sat us, and told us a little about the restaurant. Our server Alysa was nothing short of amazing, knowledgeable, and gave us wonderful recommendations. We felt like family! All of the food is made in house, pastas, sauces, and even the wine and desserts! You can taste the quality of the ingredients, and tell that every single person puts so much care into making sure every customer is happy. The whole experience was wonderful, and it’s so nice to see small (not chain restaurants) are thriving. It’s been a long time since we had an experience like this at a restaurant and we appreciate their hospitality! I think we found our new date night spot! We will be back!! OFTEN! “I had a wonderful breakfast here early this morning around 6:20am, and I just wanted to say how great the experience was. Nancy was very nice, and everyone I interacted with was friendly. It honestly felt like one of those places where everybody knows everybody — a very homey, welcoming atmosphere.

The restaurant was extremely clean, including the bathrooms, which were well-lit and well-maintained. I’ve seen some negative reviews about the “rules,” but I didn’t have any issues at all. To me, they’re just letting you know clearly how they run things. If someone has a problem with authority, I guess they might take it the wrong way — but I personally had zero problems and thought everything was straightforward and respectful.

Overall, my visit was perfect. Great food, great people, and a really comfortable environment. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful morning!

I also want to mention that I ordered my eggs over hard, and they came out perfect — not runny at all like some places tend to do. Everything was cooked exactly the way I asked.“

“We went there today for breakfast. The eating area was nothing special but it was clean and nice enough for us to dine there. The food was pretty good as well. We tried the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and the cheese and jalapeño sandwich (our favorite) as well as a coffee and a hot chocolate! Everything was pretty good. In fact we decided to take a loaf of the jalapeño cheddar sourdough and some sweets home after we were through eating. Our only complaint was the gentleman taking the orders. He has absolutely zero personality and as the face of a place like this, you need to have someone willing to engage with customers. We never saw him smile once while he was dealing with us and we had two transactions while we were there. The bread is amazing. I just hope that the front of the store doesn’t keep people from returning! Just our 2 cents!“
