With elevated dishes, I thought the menu offers flair and thoughtfulness. Amongst our group we had carrots, truffle gnocchi, burgers, chicken, milk and cookies, espresso martinis, and the milk punch. “Had a great first time at LGB with Dorka as our waitress. The food flavors were on point and familiar, no surprises and comforting. Got to meet the manager who came here from NYC to open this place three years ago, along with the executive chef who shared he’d just got back from France on a food discovery trip. Dorka’s wine recommendations and service were on point and we had a full bottle of wine, three apps, one entree for two and two desserts for $162 (includes tax) which felt like a reasonable price for all this food. The bus girl ensured we never ran out of water :)

“We happened upon this restaurant during a visit from New England. It was the best meal we had in Chicago. The restaurant is fabulous! We had delicious soup with incredible warm rolls, salad and 4 different amazing entrees. The restaurant has great windows to enjoy natural light and is quiet enough to have a conversation. “Hit up TAK Korean Bistro & Karaoke in the South Loop with a few friends for dinner and karaoke, and this spot is an absolute gem. We ordered the crispy soy garlic Korean fried chicken, spicy tteokbokki, and a sizzling bulgogi plate, and every single dish was straight-up fire. The chicken had that legit shatter-crunch, and washing it down with some cold soju hit the spot after a long week. The vibe inside is super lively, and renting a private room for karaoke afterwards made the night a total blast. Easily one of the best late-night spots in the city for top-tier eats and a solid time with your crew.“

“We had a benefit here for our nonprofit located in Chicago. The Press Room was perfect for a fun, unique and wonderful experience. The staff were attentive and kind, beverages were excellent and the food was delicious. Most of our guests had never been here and I am sure they will be coming back. El día de hoy, martes 26 de noviembre, llegué a cenar a las 8:45 pm confiando en la información publicada en sus redes sociales, donde claramente se especifica que el horario de cierre es a las 11:00 pm. No obstante, a las 9:30 pm ya se estaba anunciando el "último llamado" para bebidas alcohólicas. Además, durante mi estancia, fui testigo de cómo dos familias fueron rechazadas para cenar por el mismo motivo: el restaurante estaba cerrando antes de tiempo debido a "la falta de clientes". Entiendo que puedan surgir situaciones operativas, pero considero que este tipo de decisiones impacta negativamente en la experiencia de sus clientes. Cuando se anuncia un horario de cierre, los clientes planeamos nuestras visitas en base a esa información. De no ser posible mantener el horario anunciado, sería más transparente ajustarlo oficialmente en sus plataformas para que las personas puedan planear con anticipación y, en caso necesario, optar por otras opciones. Por último, quiero mencionar que esta inconformidad fue compartida con nuestra mesera, quien nos escuchó con amabilidad. Sin embargo, creo que esta situación requiere un ajuste desde la gerencia para evitar malentendidos en el futuro. “I found this gem about a month ago and I have been here several times in the past month...and I live in South Carolina! If you have not found this place - RUN to them! Their food is amazing. Their French Onion soup will bring a tear to your eyes... and their Cornish hen is out of this world! The food was just okay for the price. My fries were cold and underseasoned, my friend's pasta was a little bland and underwhelming, and my chicken sandwich was good, but not great (though I did make a modification, so take that with a grain of salt). The mac and cheese was absolutely stellar, however! Some of the best mac and cheese I've ever had, actually. Service was a bit slow, and our server was very kind, but she seemed overwhelmed with tables. I would give this place a shot again! I want more of the mac and cheese and I'd like to try their soft serve.“
