“Omg so good! I was back home visiting family and wanted a Gyro to enjoy while watching the Bears game. My parents said that years ago they used to go to Munster Gyro. I ordered in store and it was served fairly quickly. It was maybe the best gyro I have ever had! I live over 3 hours away and I think about the next time I go back to visit family that I will be going to get a gyro!“

Prices on point too, you might can find coupons in the mailers or papers that still circulate but I used to see them in the Value Saver that comes in the mail or the Penny Saver but that's been a while but really not checking for them either lol

Parking: Depends on location have been to almost all but definitely parking for at least 20 or more spacesmaybr.“

What I go for is the gyros and fries the best gyro I have tried in the US and with fries,bev the best combo you could get and I get its a good distance from the city but if your just visiting it is the perfect place.“

“I must say they have some of the biggest, juicest, pork chops I've ever ate at any Maxwells ever and to be more specific if you've ever been to hog wild on Pulaski then you know what I'm taking about. I was already full at this point and got more left to eat. And I love onions on my fries, they dumped a lot of onions on my fries 😋. Then one time I had a polish so huge I was like wow I never had or seen a polish that big at any Maxwells ever.“

“Best 5 guys experience I have ever had. We walked in and they explained that it would be a few minutes before we got our order taken as they were swamped. Even while busy all the staff were friendly, smiling and communicating with one really well and we didn’t even wait that long for our food which tasted perfect!“

I felt pandemic safe there - they seem to actually take it seriously with a full wall to wall barrier and turnstile (for payment and outgoing food) between them and customers, but you can also see that they're masked up properly back there. It's cash only, so be prepared to sanitize/wash hands, but they also have an ATM right there that only costs $1 to use. I'm not often in Gary, but I wouldn't even bother to look for anywhere else to eat next time I am, I look forward to going back to elios!“

I've only ordered from here off Door Dash, where there's no good way to specify what can pop you want, so that's always a surprise. Also, just order whatever dessert you don't want, because the one you order is the only one you are guaranteed to NOT get. They just grab whatever and throw it in the bag.“

“Go to a Maxwell Street Express sometime. It's THEE Chicago fast food experience. Burgers and dogs priced so reasonably that you can't say no and they're served from what I can only assume are the same stands they were serving out of in the 70s. Service is fast as hell and this one I appreciated bc they actually took card where most others just do cash.“

The rib-tips are to die for. Perhaps my favorite BBQ sauce. Soft rarely bread. French fries are not too dry and yet not greasy—and tasty. The coslaw is enjoyable and it is without annoying salad dressings or other starting from the coslaw flavorings.

I generally get the attention of a worked when I want to make a purchase after my first one.“

“My wife and I love going to portillos, tonight we went there and the place was in terrible disarray! Filthy floors bathroom and the garbage cans were all overflowing with everything from beverages to food and ketchup all over the place. this is so hard to believe that the place has been open a little longer than 1 year and looks like that. stay away go to merrillville location because they actually do keep it super clean.“
