“I just love this restaurant - the look and feel of it is classic Italian steakhouse with a baseball theme, the menu is almost perfect and the service is fast (even too fast?). The dining rooms are truly beautiful, with exposed brick and oozing history, and really set the tone for the meal. The menu, with its classical Italian steakhouse fare of steaks and pasta, has so many enticing offerings and the servers, in their white coats, have a perfect look to match the setting. The only reason that this is not a five star review is that the food is good, not great. If you want top steaks, then there are many other Chicago steakhouses that might be considered (Gibson's for example) - if you want top Italian, then there are also many excellent options (Volare nearby is a good one). The food is good, just not the reason one comes here.“

But I can always get that at the grocery store.It's somewhat greasy, good food when you have a taste for it.Dietary restrictions: I have a fish allergy, and I've never had a reaction from any of the food. So they do a good job keeping the fish/shrimp separate.“

I'm curious about the return policy—is there a way to exchange it? If it wasn't already late on a Thursday night and if I lived closer, I'd consider taking it back. Lesson learned: always check your food before leaving.“
“Okay if this want located in the same building with a barbecue place and a sandwich shop (meaning NO PARKING), in a spot surrounded by crime, I'd put it right up there with the best good old fashioned donut shops. The donuts are fresh and delicious. The lack of parking is a serious drawback, and I'm not walking very far to get donuts on that high crime corner. A security detail in the parking exceedingly small parking lot would go along way to securing a five star rating.“

“Kirk’s you have gained a new customer. My husband got a tip and chicken combo. I got a mini tip. My husband usually doesn’t allow eating in his car but we drove 30 minutes to get there based on the recommendation of his coworker. The food smelled so good I just had to taste it . One bite and it was over! We finished the mini tip before we made it to the highway . I opened up the chicken and tip combo. It was at that moment when we agreed let’s turn around and go back for more. We returned to purchase the bucket of rib tips. Barbecue is our favorite food. But it’s so hard to find good barbecue so we usually make our own. So glad we found kirks BBQ I hope they remain consistent.“
“Tried the jerk barbecue rib tips. I wasn't terribly fond of them but then I remembered they were JERK so I settled into the flavor. Next visit I tried the beef short ribs and they were very good with the sweet potatoes and the greens both also good. Last visit I tried the oxtails. They were incredible and I look forward to getting them again. The sweet potatoes were also delicious. However, this time the greens were extremely bland, but that won't stop me from going back.“

If you are a tourist or visitor and go down to see the Pullman national historical site, stop by Royal BBQ on your way and show them some love. Get the oxtails or j*** chicken, plantains. I'm sure they do great BBQ but this is the place to go for a real taste of Jamaica.“
“So... great little spot. I love this spot. You grill your meat at your table AND you have hot pot. Whaaat? You place your orders on an iPad and just yeah. Good food. Great food. And our service was really nice. There is a small buffet with condiments and "sides". All very good. I do think they overcharged us. They don't offer a receipt but once we got in the car we realized that we paid for almost another person. So be careful upon payment. KNOW what you're paying for. And request a receipt. I didn't deduct a star for this because, ultimately, that was our mistake. They do have a time limit. 2 hours. And they do charge for uneaten food. There is a lot for parking.“

“We chose this restaurant for a little family reunion. Love that our party of 9 was accommodated quickly by a friendly staffer there. I ordered ribs and a baked potato. EXCELLENT CHOICE! Ribs were tasty, perfection. Then I ordered a strawberry cheesecake, that too was delicious. Lastly - I was pleasantly surprised to know we could get a FREE soft serve ice cream cone. That too was the perfect size to compliment a large meal. Will be returning soon. Oh - staff are friendly, courteous and happy to see you.“
