Barbeque Restaurants near Calumet Park

“I’m Russian myself, and I’m really glad they serve real food here. The woman at the register looks stern—that’s true—but that’s just an impression. I enjoyed the food. I have diabetes and shouldn't be eating potatoes, but I tried a couple of slices anyway. It really is genuine fried potato.“

“Was recommended this restaurant from a friend. The maple tree and did not disappoint. Made a reservation online easy. Their menu is awesome, simple and delicious. Crab cake was perfect! Our dinner was fantastic. We had trout and shrimp. They have the best banana pudding over crème brûlée. The coffee for an end cap was out of this world good!“

“I went here as a recommendation and came out a huge fan! The sauce is perfect and everything was cooked to perfection! It was even better seeing some of my former students serving and killing it! I truly recommend Lexington Betty Smokehouse!“

“Amazing smoked beef brisket sandwich with fresh cut fries. Everything was was made fresh and served piping hot. The BBQ sauce is delicious... sweet, smoky and a tad spicy. The portions are large and well worth the money. If in the area again, I would definitely go back.“

“good food on hit..grub is on point.authenic bar b que.. no faking here...legit“

“We visited the Novi, MI location and we absolutely loved it! The food was fantastic and our server (shout-out AJ) was so wonderful and helpful. Five stars!“

“this stop would be my husband and my family spot every other weekend. we will definitely going back soon. My Favorite BBQ hands down!“

“Got food tonight it was hot and fresh. Beans are a little spicy but very good food. I like this location better than others in the area!“

“Rib Tips are 🔥. Owners were pretty cool. I’ll definitely go back. 10/10“

“Excellant tasting food, and I was a Sous Chef at Chez Paul in the early eighties . I totally know my mixtures and taste relation! This establishment has it together. God Bless the retired Fireman and Police officer! There is no better tasting Rib House around the South Side than 911 ! GENTLEMEN the rib tips are heavenly!?“

“We have been going here since it opened and it never disappoints. We love the wide variety of meat and the fact that you can do kbbq and hotpot at the same time. Truly a place to enjoy food. 😁“

“we had the best lunch at the Patio, a great burger and my companion tried the italian beef. the best part was the great service, after ordering at the counter, they bring everything to your table. The tables are so clean, and we met Teo who was clearing tables. He does a great job, the atmosphere was comfortable and immaculate. we will return soon!“

“This is my favorite place to eat , great prices , they have items on the menu that u can’t get anywhere else like the pork tenderloin dinner , it’s huge, double pork chop dinner around 20 bucks take you all day to eat it . Cowboy ribeye on the weekends is great ! I think I’ve been there like 25 times , staff is nice , owners are good people , they treat me like a regular“

“FOOD WAS AMAZING … CLEAN AND FRIENDLY.. ❤️❤️🙌🏼🙌🏼“

“The food was excellent . The customer service was very good,.They were nice , and very polite. Definitely will go back again.“

“Food and drink- awesome - awesome!“

“This is one of the best Bar and Grill I've been to in a long time. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fabulous. I would recommend Bernice's to anyone! Thank you for hosting my dad's 80th birthday celebration“

“June 7, 2026 nice venue, food presentation was good, but food was terrible. 70 percent of the guests food barely had taken a bite , steak was still alive, chicken was dry. for the amount of money that was spent for such a large crowd, management and chef should be ashamed of themselves“

“We really enjoyed the bbq ribs and the sampler of chicken wings (small portions or tastes). Sauces were delicious (several to choose from - i likedthe house and spicy the most. Other options included a mustard, a vinegar based and one with horseradish). Ribs were tender and smoky. Yum.

Coleslaw was unimpressive and a bit sour for my taste. Other side we tried were fries - portions were large enough to share. We had basic salt and pepper, but there were choices.

Clean up procedures weren't clear so we left our trays on the table. We had given a tip though food was not served.

Tables were picnic bench style with chairs. Everything seemed sticky although regular cleaning was going on.

Sports bar style with a couple large tvs in place, adding to the noise. There weren't many people there but loud.

Ordering was a bit inefficient but we weren't in a rush. The customer service was really good though. Very patient and helpful.“

“Place is 🔥! They have great customer service, and I would highly recommend this place to anybody. Especially if you’re looking for some good BBQ!!!“

“Awesome view of the airport“

“Let me start off by saying, I rock with this place!! I’ve been going for years since the smaller location. The customer service on this experience was HORRIBLE!! I asked for extra sauce on my Jumbo tip and link combo, small turkey tip, and 6 wings ($55). When the cashier relayed the request to the lady who was preparing the food she got a real crappy attitude like I was asking for too much. I guess because they were almost closing. I asked her what she said and she went all off. “I wasn’t talking to you I was talking to her!” I asked what her name was and she refused to give it to me. No name tags present or I wouldn’t have asked. Then she directed me to the manager who was also preparing food for any concerns that I may have. I asked the manager Nivia Battle (I think that’s what she said) was she required to give me her name. She said no. Her attitude was crappy as well. Just negative energy behind the glass. Except for the cashier. I also told the that they need to improve their customer service and that I WILL BE BACK!! I have no complaints about my order at all. Food was great!!! They just need to get someone back there that’s actually going to do their job without being so nasty.“

“it's all good to me, havnt had anything bad yet“

“Definitely a must try ...well a add to rotation of places to frequent. Went on a Friday night and the owner came out to tell us about a few items/ samples. Not only was the turkey tips tender and flavorful, the sides were definitely a costar. Greens and Mac were 10/10. Oh and let's not forget about the cornbread, chef's kiss. Next trip I make that way , the pizza selection will be a next try and I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed.“

“The slab of ribs, hot links are my favorite with los is mild sauce and bread.“

“I absolutely enjoy everything they have ever cooked for me. I especially love the Lamb Chops. Umm Umm Good“

“Great brisket nachos and at a good price. friendly people as well!“

“This is a great BBQ place in Markham, IL. Not a fancy joint, but the food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable and the staff are efficient and polite. THIS IS A CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT! They also have lunch specials EVERYDAY from 11am-3pm. Can't say enough good things about them. And unlike my experience in Chicago at one of the well-known BBQ places on the south side, you don't have to wait in line for hours just to get in the door and then have staff be rude and disrespectful!“

“🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽, Yes the food is on point as well as very friendly staff an phenomenal experience!“

“The food was excellent. The beef brisket sandwich was very good. Service was fantastic. Would come back here again.“

“I really like the rice bowl with the chicken 🐔 skewers!!“

“THE CATFISH WAS THE BEST EVER!!“

“I ordered a Half Slab of Baby Back Ribs, 1/2 lb of Beef Brisket (burnt ends), and a small side of Mac and Cheese. The portions of meat were generous and well-seasoned, generously coated in BBQ sauce, making them quite delicious. However, the Mac and Cheese did not meet expectations and needs improvement. I was taken aback by the restaurant's size; it was quite small. As someone in a wheelchair, I had difficulty making a 360-degree turn due to the narrow waiting area. Despite this, the atmosphere was pleasant, filled with the enticing aroma of BBQ, and the chef was friendly and laid-back. Overall, I recommend Medley's BBQ and plan to return to try their Turkey Tips and Fried Chicken Skins.“

“Hands down the best, excellent proportions, and the sauce is to die for, also price is reasonable.“

“The Photo says it All! Super Tender😋“

“Catered Nick's in Tinley Park for a Grad Party. Everything was great! Food was delicious, delivered on time and generous portions for a great price! Highly recommend!!“

“I reakky love getting my chicken and fish from here!“

“We hired Big Joe's for our farm wedding and the food and professionalism was incredible! Joe was easy to work with and provided great service before, during, and after the event. Our guests have been raving about the food and we can't wait to host another large event so that we can work with Big Joe's again!“

“Lunch Special Rib Tips 10/10 Recommend“

“Forget the girl at Burger King...Noriah ( I hope I am saying her name correctly) at Lawrence's in CC Hills, Illinois should get the soul food employee of the year! She handled about 8-10 customers taking orders, cooking food, chopping up rib tips, slicing cake, grilling fish, boxing food...plus more! I was so impressed! She was AMAZING! I will be back for those rib tips soon! Thank you so much for your wonderful service! 😀“

“we were at a wedding that had an after party that was changed at the last minute to this bar. Our bar tender Odette, was amazing. She handeled the whole party of 50+ with such grace and ease. The service at this bar is exceptional. Thank you for making the night fantastic for our group!“

“Ate here tonight and the food was wonderful. We had jerk turkey tips, jerk salmon and shrimp, yam, greens, cabbage, Mac and cheese and fried rice. Everything was tasty, hot, freshly made and spicy. The ladies were super friendly, helpful and provided great service. We will definitely be back to try other items. Ask about the specials that aren’t in the regular menu. Yum!“

“Best barbecue in da city!!! Do y’all s***“

“Quick and easy service! Delicious food!“
