“In 2017, I picked up my older brother at Midway to come home to the funeral of our youngest brother that committed suicide at 23 yers old. We swung over to Vito and Nick's to get a pizza and talk. It was our first time there. We ended up telling the waitress the situation because we had both been crying. Next thing we know, the kitchen had par-baked like 8 large pizzas of all types, and gave us a hand-written note giving us condolences and instructions on how to finish baking the pizzas. They said they wanted to make sure my family was well-fed in our time of tragedy ❤ And the pizza is INCREDIBLE ❤ SPECIAL, SPECIAL PLACE“

No obstante, a las 9:30 pm ya se estaba anunciando el "último llamado" para bebidas alcohólicas. Además, durante mi estancia, fui testigo de cómo dos familias fueron rechazadas para cenar por el mismo motivo: el restaurante estaba cerrando antes de tiempo debido a "la falta de clientes". Entiendo que puedan surgir situaciones operativas, pero considero que este tipo de decisiones impacta negativamente en la experiencia de sus clientes. Cuando se anuncia un horario de cierre, los clientes planeamos nuestras visitas en base a esa información. De no ser posible mantener el horario anunciado, sería más transparente ajustarlo oficialmente en sus plataformas para que las personas puedan planear con anticipación y, en caso necesario, optar por otras opciones. Por último, quiero mencionar que esta inconformidad fue compartida con nuestra mesera, quien nos escuchó con amabilidad. Sin embargo, creo que esta situación requiere un ajuste desde la gerencia para evitar malentendidos en el futuro. “Mishkenut is our go-to when we want all the goodness of a slow-cooked, savory, healthy meal with the convenience of carry-out. The falafel is perfectly crispy, the hummus silky smooth (you can ask for it extra spicy!), pita warm and fluffy, shawarma seasoned to perfection, and Fatoosh salad with house dressing is light and tasty to balance everything. Plan ahead and call in your order with at least an hour of lead time. Dining in? Call ahead and don't sleep on the delicious hot tea with pine nuts to sip while you wait.“

One small thing that could be improved is clearer signage. There wasn’t anything indicating that you can seat yourself, so I assumed I needed to order at the counter and wait for a number 🤔 Turns out I was completely wrong, and for a moment I thought I was about to get scolded 😅 The lady at the counter helped fix my order and guided me, and then I was able to sit down.

I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some delicious soul food. I love the dressing, baked chicken, sweet potatoes and muffins. The portions are good, I had enough left over to take some home for a late night snack. Our hostess Ms. Lyn has outstanding service she made sure that my glass was full at all times and that I had everything that I needed. I am a senior and that was definetly not right. I've already instructed my family not to get me gift card from Maple and Jam.“

Chicken was not hot, and it was in a warmer, greens was okay, dressing was good, and everybody knows, cranberry sauce goes with dressing, the cup, was so small (1/2 teaspoon) extra one is quarter (they don't tell you when ask for it). pet peeve with restaurants stingy with condiments, food not being hot.Try it for yourself.“

The sandwich is huge and the price is very good. Wish they had fresh cut fries. People working there are always nice. Absolutely awesome place. Service was greatest I’ve had in probably years (Shawn? Sean?). The GM came and talked to me - really great guy. This monstrosity of a venue is a very tight run ship. Every area of this place was clean and everybody was wonderful. That explains why there were so many people in the middle of the week.

I would challenge anybody who came here and didn’t have a wonderful time to talk to Management. This place is so on point. I’m pretty sure that if you don’t like it, it’s not the place, it’s you.“
