Our dinner was fantastic. We had trout and shrimp. They have the best banana pudding over crème brûlée. The coffee for an end cap was out of this world good!“

From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of phenomenal, and I had to write this review immediately. The moment we walked in, we were greeted not only by the host and hostess, but also by several staff members and even guests at the bar. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, welcoming, and incredibly friendly. Pure class. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and perfectly accented with soft candlelight, making the evening feel special and intimate. We sat at the bar and were welcomed by Gina, the bartender, who was extremely attentive and genuinely kind, making us feel right at home. The food was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The owner, Randy, came by to greet us and his personality was truly infectious. He had us laughing nonstop and made our night even more memorable. We also had the pleasure of sitting next to Marcy and Dick, regulars who have been coming since day one. Even though this was our very first visit, we felt like part of the Bella Mia family. From the staff to the clientele, the love and pride behind this place are undeniable. Bella Mia is truly one of a kind and deserves all the recognition it receives. “So I visited this place at least three times with a carry out order and customer service was awesome first time. Second I decided to go due to the good food and definitely the customer service, again awesome. Third, I enjoyed my food as always with recommendations from the young lady ( forgot her name). All three times I was either on crutches or knee brace. They were so sweet they helped me with my food to car an even told me to pull up to place and they’ll have my order ready for me! They were very nice to help me and for that I’m grateful. They went above and beyond. They made sure I was taken care of. So I brought my daughter there and she agree with the great customer service. Thank you guy so much. We will see you guys soon.“

“This reminds me of the old supper clubs serving the little appetiser trays with the bread. This is one of the best places for a steak dinner I have ever been to! Great steaks, terrific and attentive wait staff and the best and friendliest bartender I have ever experienced. I rated it 5 stars but this place is off the scales! The char of the steaks is only something I could dream of doing at home. If you are not a meat eater, you can graze in the forest preserve down the street. Outstanding every time I go there!“

“I went here Sunday for lunch. The food and service was excellent. I had the steak and chorizo taco with rice and beans. Both tacos were filled with meat. Super good and filling. I highly recommend the apple pie. I got the dessert to go and it did not disappoint. It was the best apple pie I have ever had.“

“I placed an order to go. Was informed that there was a $3.00 to go charge and a gratuity would be added on the order cause it was over $100.00. After I checked the receipt, $18.35 was the gratuity. I thought it would be maybe $5.00. Very disappointed. Had I known this, I would have come into the restaurant and ate there had them provide me with service. I am a senior and that was definetly not right. I've already instructed my family not to get me gift card from Maple and Jam.“

“1st time being here and everything was A+! We came in and sat at the bar while our food was being freshly made. Awesome and Friendly staff! Enjoyed a little bit of the game on tv and had some cheese fries while we waited with our drinks. I definitely want to go back and try more on the menu! “They have the best cheeseburger in Chicago. I went there in 2012, and 2013 on Kedzie, and omg it’s the best. I used to live in Highland Indiana and I took public transportation which it was GPTC bus to Downtown Hammond, and pace bus from Downtown Hammond Indiana to Downtown Harvey Illinois, and pace 349 from Harvey Transportation Center to 111th and Western, and CTA Route #112 bus from 111th and Western to 111th and Kedzie. Well now since I finally move to Chicago Auburn Gresham with my fiancé, and now I live 15 minutes away. I take 79th Street bus from 79th and Ashland to 79th and Kedzie, and transfer to CTA Route #52A Southbound and go all way to 111th and Kedzie. I’m even more glad you guys reopened which I had no idea where you guys relocated at Thanks to my friend Tracy for telling me where it is. I went there with my fiancé Raymon. I’m so glad you guys are amazing, and the service was great too. I’ll be back. This place is even very affordable.“

“I really wanted to love this place because I truly appreciate supporting a family owned business, and the atmosphere had that welcoming, hometown feel. The service was friendly, and you can tell this restaurant means a lot to the people who run it. Unfortunately, the food did not match the experience. Parts of the meal were overcooked and burnt (steak and pork chops), while other items (like the pancakes) were a tad undercooked. It seemed more like an issue with kitchen execution than the quality of ingredients.

I would absolutely come back if the cooking consistency improved, because this business has great potential and the kind of charm you want to support. Hoping they can make some adjustments in the kitchen this could easily be a local favorite with the right chef.“
