“This our go to Chinese place. Food is always very good. We have been in this area for over 20 years and we have tried other Chinese restaurants, however, they dim in comparison to China House. Servers are very friendly and the food is always hot when we arrive for pick up. We love this place.“
“My favorite restaurant closes down recently, and I've been looking for a replacement. This place has everything I wanted and more. The crab rangoon in beautifully fried, the filling is sweet and crabby without too much onion. The BBQ pork has that wonderful deep color and flavor that char sui ought to have. The sesame chicken is made with dark meat I think which gives a whole new dimension to the chew, while the coating remains a bit of crispyness while still being smothered in a sweet sesame sauce. The sauce might be slightly stodgy, but I've have far worse when you consider all of it together. The fried rice has a deep wok flavor, both smokey and rich. Even the BBQ chicken sticks are what you might find at a decent buffet, but amped up to 11! I have a new favorite Chinese restaurant. Sadly it's 80 miles from my house. But I'll be back tomorrow to try the egg rolls!“
“This is the best Chinese Food in the area. We just moved here and took a while to find our go to Chinese Food spot in Algonquin area. The Chef Special Combo Fried rice is amazing and the people that work here are friendly as well. Will definitely recommend Chopsticks to my friends and family.“
“So glad we found this place. Not only is it a great priced buffet, the food is actually REALLY GOOD! The people who work there are super nice and hard working. The food is fresh. So glad we found a new buffet, close to home, that is so dang good.“
“First time dining here since the ownership changed and I'll definitely be back. Restaurant is spacious, comfortable and clean. We came Friday for lunch and tried their lunch specials which come with soup. I tried the Orange Shrimp (pictured), Sushi Platter and Beef with Mixed Vegetables. Both the sushi and Chinese dishes were fresh and flavorful. I ordered the hot & sour soup with my platter which is one way I gauge the authenticity & quality of a Chinese restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. The soup and dishes we ordered reminded me of my parent's restaurant which they ran for over 30 years. There are very few restaurants serving quality Chinese dishes in the Northwest suburbs so come out and support this restaurant.“
“I found this place just by driving by the area. Loved the shrimp fried rice I ordered. It's a carryout place. It's gets busy during the lunch hour. I will be going back again to try new dishes. Service was friendly ! Thank you.“
“This has become our go-to sushi spot, especially for delivery. A couple weeks ago I placed an order and they accidentally gave me the wrong roll, so I called and let them know. The person I talked to (I assume the owner but I didn't catch her name) said she recognized my name from the order and will give me the roll for free next time. I didn't think she would actually remember until a couple nights ago when I was going to order again and called the store just to see if she remembered. Right when I told her my name, she remembered my order and told me she would send it. She apologized again and I told her I appreciated the thought and remembering. My fiancee and I already love this place, this took it over the top. We feel valued as customers and always love the food, even the wrong orders!“
“Carry out only, but the best Chinese food ever! Sweet and sour chicken is phenomenal, crispy white meat nuggets and the sauce (in a separate container) is perfectly balanced. Chow mein, egg foo young, fried rice, hot and sour soup, all are great tasting. Portions are huge, and the weekday lunch specials can't be beat.“
“First time eating here. Had orange chicken lunch special. Came with soup , chicken fried rice and an egg roll. Orange chicken was crispy, right balance of sweet and spicy. Egg roll tasty and crispy. Perfect fried rice. Was greeted with a welcome smile upon walking in. Will return:)“
“Fun, kitschy old-fashioned tiki bar with great cocktails (especially mai-tai’s), yummy egg rolls, and various tasty and reasonably priced Chinese dishes, nicely presented. Our favorite is the Har Sue Pea Pod. If you’re lucky you might have Danny as your server; he has been there 54 years now, and I’ve never had better, warmer customer service! Live music adds to the atmosphere on Friday and Saturday nights or try karaoke night for a lot of fun. In the summer, the large outdoor patio is lovely too.“
“Little Rice Is one of the best Sushi Restaurants I’ve been to and I’ve been to a lot but this one is one of my favorite because there sushi Is just perfect, Also by the back you can find the chefs making And cutting your sushi. (You must Order a Sushi boat if you’re in a group, So good!)“
“Good food, felt satisfied, nothing to write home about. Good sized portions for the fair price and they were quick. The fried rice was delicious and we loved the crab rangoons (they are more on the cream cheesy side). I would go back again!“
“Best Chinese food around!I had the yummy dinner special Beef and mushrooms chop suey. It came with THE MOST Delicious egg roll I've had in years!?The pork fried rice...fab! It comes with white or brown rice, which is nice, but I ordered fried rice. WELL WORTH the extra cost! I wished I ordered more egg rolls lol!!Thank you team of New China for providing me and others with fresh amazing food.Lorin“
“All I can say is great food, really nice family, and quick service. I don't like many pick up Chinese places, this place is great. I have tried many different items and my honey and I have been extremely happy with everything. Order and enjoy.“
“Wow, wow, WOW! Pleasantly surprised!!! I went through 4 Chinese restaurants! They were either closed down, they don’t deliver after placing order online, grub hub only…And I’m so glad Because this is far far better than my go to place. They were on time, the food was hot! When I was done eating it was still hot! Egg rolls were outstanding! Everything was just crispy, not over sweet Or too hot.. simply OUTSTANDING! Thank you! I’m going to go eat another egg roll…sooooooo good!?“
“Pretty good food with generous portions. I paid about $14 per person, but got more than 3 meals out of the "large" size meals. This is one of the few restaurants my kids request other than fast food. Keep in mind it is CARRY OUT OR DELIVERY ONLY. No dining room.“
“My girlfriend ordered through the phone and they were super friendly. I went in to pick it up and the order was ready and she was very nice to me. After a 25 minute drive home the food was still warm. i thought the rice was great and the dumplings were amazing. My girlfriend loved the sesame chicken.“
“we've been going to Chen's for over 30 years at least once a month. people are awesome, the food is outstanding and the prices are exceptionally reasonable. disregard negative reviews. anyone that goes there on a regular basis would highly recommend. a nice family restaurant not a chain.“
“We would order from Lin’s garden when we lived in Niles and now we will definitely be going back to Mr. Wok. Last night we had egg rolls, fried rice, and sesame chicken. It was great and we will be back. Finally have a place for some great Chinese food and more!!“
“Not sure what was going on but they're only doing takeout the whole restaurant is closed off except for a small space in front of the door when you can place an order for pick up an order in go. This is why I have to do 3 stars on the atmosphere. Food with great service was still good and fast. But had I known it was takeout only I would not have come.“
“The BEST egg rolls! & possibly the best American Chinese food around. Very well executed dishes; very high quality meat being used! Seasoned to perfection; not too salty or sweet. The batter on the Hong Kong chicken is so light. The oil used for frying is the correct temp; nothing fried is greasy or oily.“
“Even rating super hard core, this place gets 5 starts. I've never known a Chinese restaurant to be nearly as consistently delicious. We are regulars here, ordering almost every week for years, and have never been disappointed. On top of that, Ida, the woman usually at the front desk, is so friendly and a joy to see every time! I recommend Gilbert's Kitchen to literally everyone“
“Lovely Chinese-American food. Run by some rad bachan (grandmas). The food was so good. My pepper beef actually tasted like pepper, and the beef was so tender. My wife got the sesame chicken and the flavor was so delicate. They even have a full bar. Absolute classic. Support them today. Do expect some relaxed service and the seats have tape on them. But the place is just old school. It's worth it.When bachan points to a menu item and shouts "yum yum" and gives you a thumbs up. Order that item. You can't go wrong.I'm going to head back sometime and see if I can elbow my way into some secret menu items. I would bet if you ask nicely they'll make you some "real" food. People who know, know.“
“Good local Chinese take out place. The only critique would be to to change the sesame chicken recipe because it looked and tasted exactly like the orange chicken with a few sesame seeds sprinkled on top. Sesame chicken meat was tough too, we were disappointed with that dish. Otherwise we will be back to try more things off the menu.“
