“Fried chicken is wonderful. Beats a lot of fried chicken places claiming to be the best! Service has an opportunity to be more attentive. Desserts could use a bit of an improvement. Music's not too loud and specials are very affordable considering the inflated economy.“
“Tried Fairways for the first time last Saturday. We got there about 5:30 and the parking lot was already full. We were lucky and got a table even without reservations. Later it looked like there was a wait for a table. It's a nice dining room, nicer than I'd expect for a golf course restaurant. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I ordered beef short ribs. It's one of my favorites but it is always a risk trying it at a new place. These were among the best I've ever had. So tender they really did melt as I eat them, and no fat at all. They were so good, I wanted to like the plate! My wife got a Caesar salad with grilled salmon. She thought the salmon was good, but didn't care for the dressing - it was very thick and didn't have a lot of flavor. We were disappointed that they were out of the cheeseburger egg rolls already when we tried to order. I know I'll be back, the steaks come out sizzling on a cast iron platter and smelled great. The burgers and fries looked very good as well. This may become a regular place for us.“
“Love this place. Love the bartenders. Love the food. Everytime I come into town I make sure to go back to The Poplar Place. Every night there's is a new food/drink special and good company. Tonight was $0.55 wings and $3 burgers with Amy behind the bar. I love seeing old friends and putting a few dollars into the poker machines while I wait on my food. We're coming back one more time for Halloween before I roll back out of town.“
“If you are in the centralia area it is a must to experience. Excellent food, generous proportions. Nearly everyone takes a "go box " home . Ample parking, whether you prefer a booth, table or need to reserve space for a special occasion, Jerry's has it all. Great atmosphere. Two things to enjoy when you are there. One, try Granny's special wine and cheese house dressing, (you can even purchase a bottle to take home)and then there's Tammy's " to die for " cheesecake. You can't leave there without trying the cheesecake. It alone will have you coming back.“
