“Every Wednesday all you can eat chicken, soup which has homemade noodles. Salad bar. Garlic bread, pasta, mashed potatoes, gravy, bbq pork ends. It's all fresh and delicious. People are very friendly there. It is a small dining room, get there early so you're not waiting for a table.”

“Wowowow! First let me say there was another person who mentioned the chips and salsa were the best in a 50 mile radius... THEY ARE NOT WRONG! The salsa is incredible! We both got fajitas, chicken and steak, which were flavourful, filling, and everything you could hope for! Fresh tortillas to go with it! This is a 5 star experience that is tucked away! Service is fast and friendly also! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”

“Great place to stop. Friendly staff by herself on a Sunday afternoon, but not too busy. They had a busy weekend and were out of some of the items. We ordered thin crust pizza which was good and the Buffalo fried cauliflower was nice and hot.We will be back to try some of the other items that were not available.”

Crowd is a random mix of young and old. 3 pool tables, 2 dart machines, 6 gambling machines and a shuffleboard table. Plenty of parking. Street parking in the front, parking lot in the back. Like every bar there are some exceptions but it's a nice relaxing environment most of the time.”

“We had just finished church, and were looking for dinner. We hadn't been to La Vigna in a while, so we thought we'd go there. This place is south and around a mile east of Oregon. If you don't know where it is, use your GPS and you'll find it. It's a quaint location with low ceilings, good smells and good food. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted and then seated in the back dining room. The lighting is provided by sconces on the walls, and a lot of Italian lights strung from the ceiling. It's brighter than "romantic" by a little. The menu was interesting - we started with a grilled Portobello Mushroom which we shared, which was in an interesting sauce. I added some parmesan (shaker on the table) which made that even better. While we were waiting for that, a tray of warm bread was provided. Oil and shredded parmesan cheese were already at the table. Yum! Entrees are served with soup or salad - we both had the salad with Creamy Gorgonzola dressing, with the extra crumbles on top. The greens were very fresh, and the dressing was tasty. I went for their Filet Mignon, medium rare, which was served topped with mushrooms and marsala wine sauce. The steak was properly cooked to order, and was quite tender. My wife ordered their Scampi Picatta, which was loaded with shrimp and she said was very tasty. The wine list is a little light with 5 different "house" wine brands, but they did have two different upscale bottles - we went for the Pinot Noir, which hailed from France and had an interesting parchment brochure hanging from a ribbon on the label. For desert, my wife had a cannoli, and had their Raspberry Sorbet. The cannoli was authentic and tasty, but the Raspberry Sorbet was very good. If you like Raspberry sorbet, this is the place to get it. It was very rich. The place was pretty quiet noise level wise, We could hold a normal conversation. The floors are carpeted, which helps.”

“Had Drunk Chicken with Zing sauce and it was amazing! Just a little spice with the sweet sauce, loved it! Chicken was great, onion rings were burnt. You win some, you loose some. The onion rings made it 4 ☆ but the chicken was 6☆!”

“Alfano's has been a favorite restaurant in our family for a long time. We've never had a bad meal. We have friends from Monroe (WI) who drive past several Italian restaurants to eat at Alfano's. It's their favorite, too. I took away a star for the atmosphere because of the gambling area. It is private and quiet, but it takes up some of the previously available dining area.”

“Our bartender Tori was exceptional she not only kept up with the 5 of us but the other 3 peeps down at the end of the bar, we closed it out man great time, dumped 20$ in the juke box and it made it til we left, excellent patio to smoke on in the back chill environment too”

“My college son had to use this coffee shop/Internet cafe for a late night e-class. I stopped in to grab a cup of coffee and for a little relief from the cold rain. It was warm, cozy and smelled rich with coffee. He was able to get his 4 hour class in comfortably. The slot machines are on the other side of the establishment and were no bother to his studying. Perfect for what we needed it for!”

“We stopped for a few days in Oregon IL and ordered delivery from here. The Father/Son burger was excellent! My wife loved her meatball sandwich! The delivery was a little slow, but not the fault of the driver at all. We rented a house basically off grid and it was pitch black out...my son waved him down with flashlights...pretty funny. Driver was apologetic and the food was still hot and sooooo good. Stop in here or order if you ever have the chance.”
