“Yesterday was extremely hot muggy heat , I'd Needed Ice for my water and ask this restaurant for a cup of Ice they gave me small cup , but I needed more for my water !
They gave me another big cup of Ice !
God bless these people, hopefully I can try their food next time !“

“This BYOB sushi spot is awesome, very modest, super fast service with affordable prices for all the artists out here! The sushi has more filling than just a ton of rice packed around it & the miso soup is stellar. They provide complimentary cucumber water which is super refreshing in the summertime. I came here during prime time Saturday evening and it was VERY chill. If you’re in Bridgeport I highly recommend! I love supporting businesses that value both good food & good service. I will be back for sure!“

“We’ve been coming to this little sushi spot for the past couple years, and it never disappoints! The fish is always incredibly fresh, everything is delicious, and the staff is always so friendly and welcoming. It’s one of those places that keeps you coming back. “We recently visited for my bday on 5/31. The decor is beautiful and the service was stellar! Everyone was attentive and friendly. Our hibachi chef was amazing. He was extremely entertaining and super accommodating. He made our hibachi dinner experience the best we have ever had. The food was perfect and great portion sizes. My son even ordered Spider rolls and said they were amazing! My two teens and 1yr old enjoyed it immensely! Thank you all for the great celebration. We will be back for sure!!! Highly recommend to all!!“

“Food is fresh and excellent. I find it to be one of the best in the area. Non greasy, good flavor, service is ok, but when they attend to you, you have their undivided attention. I have been there a few times, and it does not vary. It is also very clean, with large tables and booths.“

“On Thursday, 5/30, my wife and I had dinner at the restaurant. Our favorite server, Rita, was assisting us. During our meal, we witnessed a front desk employee yelling at Rita and slamming his hands on the table, causing a significant disturbance that was noticeable to many patrons. Despite this unprofessional behavior, Rita maintained her composure and continued to provide exceptional service. Her professionalism and dedication to her customers were commendable. We will definitely return, thanks to Rita's outstanding service.“

“I have been coming here for years and Ruma Izakaya remains my favorite Japanese spot in the area. From the sushi to the entree’s, sides, incredible miso soup, and smoothies, Runa Izakaya wins my heart and my stomach over every time!
