“We stayed in our RV on property as part of our Harvest Host membership.

We each had a sampler where you can try up to 4 meads, which is made from honey. They have one that tastes like pino grigio (dry meade who knew), another that takes like apple pie (delicious), another like PB & J (yummy), they have spicy mead (very hot and delicious), etc. They were all delicious! Most of their meads are gluten and dairy free with the exception of the meads fermented in bourbon barrels.
I would love to come back for a paint and sip party and other special events. They had candle making tonight.
The outdoor seating in the back is a beautiful garden setting perfect for any occasion.

“Yesterday I took the Sourdough Breadmaking Class with Chef George at The Ancestral Oven and I just pulled an amazing loaf of bread out of my home oven 24 hours later! Chef George provided all the necessary instruction and supplies - including a lively starter - for students to start their own sourdough journey at home. The class included hands-on experience feeding the starter, as well as folding and shaping the dough. I had a great time at the class and can't wait to return to try out the breakfast and lunch menu at The Ancestral Oven Bakery and Cafe.“

“I stopped by Happy Lamb Hot Pot (Bridgeport) on a chilly evening with friends and it was exactly the kind of communal food experience that hits the spot when you want warmth, flavor, and a little celebration around the table. It’s a pick-your-own adventure sort of meal: you choose your broth base, pile your plate with meats, greens, mushrooms, tofu, and more, then cook it all right at the table in the simmering pot. Between generous portions and lots of little dipping sauces, every bite feels personalized and fun. “I go to this location quiet often, but I was extremely disappointed as well as angry with what I saw today at this location. (3/9/25 at 5:35pm) The 3 customers that were ahead of me placed their orders were first timers I found out. The young lady that was fixing their smoothies dropped a cup on the floor, picked the cup up from the floor then sat the cup to the side. As she finished one smoothie she pulled a fresh cup, then the 2nd smoothie she proceeded to pour it in the cup that she picked up off the floor. I told the young lady that took my order, so she then pulled the young to the side to tell her that I saw what she did then she looks at me and says "I'm Sorry" (I said to her): What do mean you are sorry, why would you do that, and why are you giving that to her, you need to remake that smoothie ...and guess what she did not. I'm just want to make people aware: Watch the people that prepare your sandwiches/smoothies or anything of that sort. It's not their stuff, they're not paying for it so they don't care. That was just the epitome of nasty and extremely unsanitary. She didn't have on a Tropical Cafe shirt, she had on a gray shirt, she may have been new, I'm not sure but we need to learn to do better when working with the public. Don't do things to people that you don't want done to you!!!!! FYI...the name on the ticket was: Shelia G“
