I had one of their onion bagels - delicious and competes easily with Russ & Daughters or H&H bagel in NYC. I will be back, but Olive will have to stay home next time. “Sandwiches and subs are super delicious. I tried the grilled chicken panini and some of colleagues had Italian beef sandwich. We all liked the taste. The best part came at the end of the meal, I loved the authentic espresso and coffee they sell here. If you really want to try original Italian espresso this is a must visit in this area. “I’ve been going here now regularly for a year and it’s such a pleasure to have an authentic Jewish Deli here in Wicker/Bucktown area. Phenomenal bagels/bialy, but I really come back regularly for the Reuben. They take pride in their work and like the sandwiched sky high with fresh incredients. Usually one sandwich and a bag of chips makes it 2 meals for me, and the flavor is delicious.“

“Absolutely adored this local sandwich spot! I came in from out of town and ate everywhere from ballpark hotdogs to five-star dining, and Brett’s Kitchen still stood out. The chipotle steak sandwich was incredible, and the pasta fazoli soup instantly transported me back to when my grandmother used to make it. That kind of comfort food connection is rare — and this place nailed it.

“Their tomato bisque soup is the best I’ve had. I shoulda gotten the large. Expected a something red, puréed, and hot to get me through this rainy fall day. It’s creamy, smooth, right amount of cheese and tender veggies to make it a moment. I wanna eat this everyday.

Eggplant parm is also perfect. Crunchy, chewy, hearty, choice of giardiniera, mmm! I’ll try the veggie sub next.

“Small, hole in the wall store, but these can be the best places to find hidden treasures. This place's treasure is its shish ka bob meat. Comes pre-bagged and is in a case as soon as you enter. The stuff is great and makes for an easy dinner. Whenever I find myself on the southeast side of the city, I make sure to swing by and grab some. It never disappoints.“

“It's a shame that there are so few of these delis left in the area; there used to be three or four along a couple of miles of Archer down here (including Bobak's), but I guess the demographics no longer supports them. It was a joy to find this place by accident.We go to this tiny place mainly for the beet borscht, bigos (to DIE for!), and pierogis. I smiled when I noticed they actually have wooden barrels of kapusta and pickled cukes wedged into a rear corner.They have all different kinds of fresh pierogi and, for such a small space, a pretty good sausage/meat selection. I know very little about East European sausage names, but it would probably be wise to call ahead if you are looking for a certain kind.“
