“I’m not the type to mince words so let’s get to it. The food was good, as I’m assuming it always has been. The parking situation is better than most places in the city. If you manage to get there at the right time there is available free parking in the rear. If not then you’re stuck playing Chicago parking roulette. The place could use a front counter overhaul in the form of a new menu. The menu spans the distance of the entire counter, a digital menu at the entrance to the line that scrolls would be far more useful so people can have a better idea of what they would like instead of being nearly at the end of the line still looking at the menu. The portions are large so come with an appetite or willpower. The place isn’t cheap so don’t come here expecting fast food prices although fast food isn’t exactly cheap these days except for the most trash items on their menus. Overall, a great place to share a meal with people you like.“

“Lots of positives about this spot and the man, Sam, running the show. I stopped by their location in the Old Post Office food hall and had the Reuben. The meat was near perfect, the bread was exquisite, cheese slightly melty, and Sam also sent me home with one of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve had since I moved out of my mom’s house. “Given they have an outdoor area, it really compensates for the small, crammed area indoors. This is more like a place you walk in, order, and leave. But because they have outdoor area, again, it compensates for the indoor area.
The food is almost as good as Fontanos Subs.

I did ask for mayo, and they added mayo.
That was a mistake on my part. It tasted like there was too much mayo.

As soon as you order a cold sandwich, it would be ready in about 2 minutes. This is much quicker than any fast food restaurants I have been to.
I would recommend this over any other fast food restaurants.
It is cheap as well. I believe I payed $12 for the sandwich itself. Only half of it I was able to eat and the other half, I had either finish it, throw it out, or save it for later and hope it doesn't spoil (I was not around a fridge at the time).

Giardia spicy, is really not spicy. It's more mild than spicy. You will feel the taste of it later in the day though.“

“Small, hole in the wall store, but these can be the best places to find hidden treasures. This place's treasure is its shish ka bob meat. Comes pre-bagged and is in a case as soon as you enter. “I recently visited Buenos Aires Deli in search of mates and yerba mate. I was pleased with their wide selection of yerba mate—it was impressive and offered plenty of variety to choose from. However, I was disappointed with their limited selection of mates. I was hoping for more variety, especially since I currently buy my mates on Amazon and was looking to support a small business while upgrading to better quality.

On the bright side, the staff was amazing—friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. The ambiance of the store was cozy, inviting, and authentically charming, making the shopping experience enjoyable. Pricing was fair, though nothing particularly stood out in terms of value.

Overall, I’d recommend Buenos Aires Deli, especially for their yerba mate selection and the warm atmosphere. It would be even better if they expanded their mate options. I’ll likely return and hope to see more offerings in the future!“

“I usually have my regular Jalapeño bagel with cheddar cheese, eggs & bacon breakfast sandwich but today, they’ve created a new breakfast item- the breakfast wrap, so I tried it.. It was very delicious- With eggs/cheddar cheese/ veggies (spinach,green/red peppers & onions) and of course Bacon too along with their homemade salsa.

Also at amazing prices since they're located in an out-of-the way immigrant neighborhood unsullied by those who covet all things trendy. Sausages, deli products and cooked foods are also super high quality and delicious. Well worth the visit.“
