Great szechuan restaurant tucked away off to the side of Chinatown Proper. Came here on a whim for dinner but asked around and heard good things about this place. When you enter, you'll be greeted by a clean, fairly large and spacious looking restaurant. It wasn't super busy when we arrived here, although it was nearing 9PM, which is probably why. I tried this place last night and it was great. I wanted hot pot but since I was alone I decided to save for for when I was with a group. I had the ox tendon in chili oil with was so flavorful. I also got the cumin lamb which was very spicy. I decided to not get rice which might have been a mistake because the heat eventually overwhelmed me.

While nestled away from the hustle and bustle of central Chinatown, Shu Tin Xia offers a quieter oasis for Szechuan and hot pot fare. They provide an extensive selection of hot pot, mala chili meet and nonspicy dishes. All of which are made with a punch of flavor and authenticity. Give them a try!
