while I enjoy the pastries and drinks, I was recently given a latte that was extremely too hot and it felt intentional. my tongue has still not fully recovered.
This is my neighborhood cafe, and there’s a lot to like about it, but they consistently forget to include things in my order after I’ve already paid. No kidding, it’s happened to me at least 5 times in the last few months, so it’s not a one-off. At times, I’ve ended up waiting 30+ minutes for a pastry or sandwich they just forgot about. pHlour Bakery & Cafe is a charming spot offering classic baked goods like croissants, danishes, and muffins, as well as quiches. The Blueberry Danish is praised for its delicious flavor. The cafe serves drip coffee and has a lovely wall display of fresh breads and sourdoughs. The cardamom bun leaned a bit mild in flavor, while the banana crumble was moist and fragrant. The almond croissant is one of the best. The place is cute with good dining space and offers free WiFi service, making it a good place to work on a laptop. Customer service was outstanding, and the coffee was delicious with free refills for dine-in customers. The bakery is clean with private restrooms. The bakery also sells sourdough starter.
