Safari Somali Cuisine Reviews
Italians can't cook Spaghetti like Somalis do. So lucky to have a Somali joint in the neighborhood. 10/10
Good but expensive prices
Delicious Somali restaurant in Chicago suburbs. My first visit to a Somali restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was pretty good. Loved the Goat with rice and vegetables. Their tea was good too. Didn't care much for the orange juice made from concentrate. Lady at the counter does all the billing and orders. She spoke decent english. Had to wait to use the bathroom, which was not gender segregated. Interior is very basic, but food makes up for it.

Safari Somali Cuisine is a hidden gem that offers an amazing dining experience. The rice, chicken, and beef dishes are simply amazing, with great spices and flavors. The goat rice dish is particularly noteworthy, featuring incredibly juicy and tender meat, generous portions of veggies, and delicious side dishes that complement the meal perfectly. The pasta is also good, but the half and half option is recommended for the full experience. The owner provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it a solid spot for a good Somali lunch. The Somali Kenyan menu offers a unique and authentic taste, with the tea being a standout favorite among customers. Highly recommended for food lovers, the restaurant has a halal menu and customer parking available. While service may be a bit slow at times, the prices are fair and the vibe is nice, making it worth checking out.
