“The servers and staff took really good care of us for a table of 7. It is a local and comfy place to get a phenomenal taste of Spain. The presentation of the food is aesthetic and unique. The taste of all their dishes are packed with flavor. Sabroso!“
“This place was a 10/10. From the moment we walked in, we were taken such good care of. Yousef and Armando went out of their way to make our first time here brilliant. They were attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend sitting by the bar downstairs, it’s less busy and intimate. This is my new favorite restaurant and I can’t wait to tell our friends about this place!! Thank you for a wonderful dinner experience “
“We asked our driver for his no.1 recommendation for our lunch... As he hails from Galicia, he could not recommend Boqueria enough... It did not disappoint! Great atmosphere and service! Total flavor reminders from our trips to Spain, with a little twist.“
“Wonderful restaurant. Sorry I didn’t get to say “Hello” to Chef Bolaños. He was talking to some friends. We were dining there on Sunday. A wonderful guitarist playing. Perfect music for dining. Great tapas! Love, love, loved the Pulpo a la Planxta, the Patatas Barillos and the Melon con Jamon Serrano. The Mariscos Paella was good, but I missed the crispy bottom rice. Nice little place. Great menu that lights up. It’s BYOB, and fortunately there is a store across the street that has wine! If you forget to bring your own. Have already recommended it to others.“
“Book in advance if you want a dine in. Even during the week, this place is a hot spot. It is a great atmosphere. Our server was on top of our order even though he was super busy. The patatas and garlic shrimp are delicious. I wasn't impressed with the bass and the seafood paella was okay.Vegetarian options: Slim pickings for vegetarians. As the menu is more meat heavy. But there still are options.“
“Wow. In one word, wow. I have had the best meal of my life ever tonight. I would be okay if that was my final meal. I could eat the same thing for forever and not get bored of it. Everything was so well prepared and the staff was so kind and informative. The atmosphere was super beautiful and just overall contributed to the chill/intimate mood.“
“First time here for Tapas and they were fabulous. Our server, Gabriella, however, was beyond amazing and so helpful explaining the menu choices and relaying her favorites. Also helped with wine selection. Over the top friendly and gracious! Kudos!“
“Fritada is delicious! I had to eat my plate in the car because the smell of the food was sooo good. This is my go to place for food after work. 100% would recommend and they are always so kind. Ma and Pa Location. They used to have a different location that my family would go to but they closed and moved. We didn't find the new address until last year and I'm never losing this spot again.“
“The food is outstanding! Every dish I have had has been amazing. The atmosphere and ambiance is great and comfortable. Service... the red haired bartender likes to jump in on conversations adding judgmental Christian comments. If you ask for shots on a Sunday and use the term "Sunday funday" he'll correct you saying "this is Christ's day". I've eaten there several times and somehow he's the only staff member that has waited on us and each time, he always says something religious and judgmental. The food is really good, it just comes with a side of Christianity.“
“An exceptional experience at Bulerias Tapas! The service was top-notch, the cocktails were crafted to perfection, and the food was beyond fantastic. The ambiance truly sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. A must-visit spot in Chicago for anyone seeking delightful tapas and an all-around great time!“
“I love this place! I can’t even begin to count how many times I have been there, but it never lets me down. I love the vegetarian and vegan options!! The people that I have gone with that eat the meat dishes also say it is delicious. I always get the soya torta & Soya chicken tacos.“
“The tapas selection is excellent. Each comes with ~3 servings, and there is something for everyone! Highly recommend the stuffed Spanish peppers and pork medallions. Service is spectacular - they don't judge how bad your pronunciation “
“5 stars all around for this beautiful spot in the lobby of the Blackstone Hotel in downtown Chicago. The atmosphere is old-world elegant, the service impecible, and the menu, while not terribly expansive, offers such variety. Nice cocktail and wine list as well. I had the scallops which were perfect. Nicely browned and expertly seasoned The tuna tartare was just the right amount of spicy. The calamari was nicely breaded and crunchy. I loved the pistachios in the bacon-wrapped date tapas. They provided a nice crunch. The beef meatball tapas were seasoned well and had a nice crust. And the blackened peppers and goat cheese were also delicious. Everything was perfect. 3-4 tapas dishes per person makes a nice dinner, and they're definitely made for sharing. I would definitely go back.“
“Went here for dinner last night with a friend and it was the cutest restaurant! Would also be a great date night spot! Everything we ordered from cocktails, snacks, mains and dessert were all amazing! Just wish I had room to try more! Our server was great too! Excited to try this place again:)The mushroom croquetas are life changing!!!!:D“
“We mainly come here for their rotisserie chicken and fried yuca which are amazing. The only issue I have is they don't give you the traditional colombian spicy sauce or Ají, but instead they give Mexican green salsa (salsa verde). Another thing I don't like is they jack up the price for the Colombian soda...$4.00 for 1 can of Colombiana while 1 can of Coke is $1.99? that's crazy.Overall the food is very tasty but please, give customers ají Colombiano instead of Mexican salsa verde.“
“I had a great brunch at Jaleo. The food was delicious and the portions were just right. The aperol spritz was refreshing and paired well with the food. The restaurant was a bit empty, which was surprising for a Saturday afternoon. I guess the cold weather in Chicago kept people at home. However, this also meant that the service was fast and attentive. The bartender was very friendly and we had a nice conversation. He gave me some recommendations for other dishes to try next time.Overall, I had a wonderful experience and I would definitely come back. This place is great for tapas lovers.“
“One of the best dining experiences I have had in years. Very interesting menu with incredible flavor, beautiful presentation in an intimate, warm environment. I did not know much about Spanish cuisine prior to MFK aside from paella, but now I am looking for similar experiences like MFK. The potato and smoked piquillo croquettes were awesome. The flavors in this, what I expected to be a simple dish, were a complete surprise. The skate and chips were amazing. The best skate I have ever had and I do not know what they do to the chips, but they are delicious. The fideo (I have never heard of this dish) was incredible and the saffron cream sauce was out of this world. I consider myself a foodie with high standards. MFK blew me away. If you are into the entire presentation from apps to drinks to entrees, this is your (and my) place. The sauces were delicious and unique. Do yourself a favor and get to this place. One more thing, the burnt basque cheesecake was delicious.“
