“Fifth time enjoying a meal here over the last three years . Every time spot on food and service excellence. Today was no exception. We sat outdoors and we appreciated how genuine the staff was and how attentive they were. The meal was very well paced--no sense of rushing us through all the courses. We had appetizers and then we chose Rack of Lamb, Braised Lamb Shank and Braised Short ribs. Honestly each meal was perfection. Rack of Lamb was unanimously voted the very best lol. I've never had better. Portions were generous and we were served complimentary warm bread with a tasty dip to start the meal as we looked at their menu which had a bit of everything. You really can't go wrong.
Dessert was Baklava and Flan and again--so good. Turkish style. We went home with leftovers for another meal. Thank you to the lovely Staff. Outstanding meal all the way around!“

“We were invited to this halal Turkish restaurant in downtown Chicago for lunch. This was my first time trying a dish called Kiymali Pide, which is made with ground lamb wrapped in dough and topped with mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce.
The dish tasted good, but I personally prefer lamb or beef shish kebab made with whole pieces of meat rather than ground meat. The food was prepared well, and the service was excellent. Our server was very patient and attentive. She even showed me the lamb skewer before it was cooked and brought to the table, which was a thoughtful touch.
The restaurant had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff greeted guests as they arrived and made everyone feel welcome. Overall, the food was good, but my personal preference is still Mediterranean and Iranian cuisine over Turkish cuisine. However, the outstanding service and hospitality made this a very enjoyable lunch experience.“

“I visited Cedars with my husband today and we cannot properly convey how much we loved it! The staff was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and the one detail that struck me the most was their treatment of everyone-open and caring. The food was epic; perfectly balanced seasoning, bright flavors, richness without heaviness, lovely fusion dishes and the absolute BEST crispy falafel I have had in my life. I felt so comfortable and at ease while I was there, which is a feeling I don’t usually have in restaurants. The ethos, celebration of community and cherished family recipes make this a one-of-a-kind dining experience, counting the days until I can go back! Thank you Cedars!!!! 🖤🤍❤️💚“

“8:00 PM is when they close according to the sign on the door (20Dec2025) and not 10PM as listed on Google, cost me a wasted trip but I hope it helps others. (Could've been avoided if someone simply answered the phone just once between 7:45pm - 8:00pm) ...the food is good, duh, lol, which is why I had a fit hahaha.“

“We had a big event of 30 people (wedding rehearsal dinner) and Ada took care of us with no issues. Easily managed our entire tables orders with a calm, kind, and positive attitude. The food was also top notch. Highly recommend for a casual meal or for a large group if you need to rent out a space.“
