“Very deep selection of beers and beverages, anchored in a Belgian theme. There are lot of on tap unique beers. The food menu is not as lengthy; it’s very well curated and it’s hard to go wrong. The kitchen is open to see, and you can observe how well it’s run. Their signature mussels served with a huge portion of fries is a must have. Very good overall. I do wish that the fries were a bit more carefully prepared to fit with the rest of the menu (they seem to come out undercooked and less-crispy often).“

The atmosphere was lively but still cozy — the kind of spot that feels perfect for catching up over good food and drinks. I ordered the Monarch cocktail and the signature Gretel Griddle Burger, and both were amazing. The Monarch was perfectly balanced — refreshing, smooth, and beautifully made. The burger absolutely lived up to the hype: juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly even though the place was busy. “This is a fine neighborhood staple. I frequent Mondays when not traveling for work. Orla is generally bartender and an absolute wonderful person. Owen one of the owners I had met in the past is also great as well as the entire staff. The food is better than what you would get in a bar as they pride themselves on a grand quality with great price points. Typically not seen in many Chicago establishments.

The dog friendly patio is massive. Introducing both high top and regular tables. They have a large indoor dining area separate from the bar area. It's great for family dinners, parties and more. Get in there and get some food, a properly poured Guinness goes a long way here, I don't even think Guinness pours em like Gideon Welles does!!!“

“I had my 60th birthday party at Burke's. It was awesome! We had the party room and it worked great. We NEVER had to ask for food to be brought out as they kept up with it all and replenished as needed. We had a dedicated bartender who was great. The staff were constantly clearing plates and glasses through our 3 hours there. Such a great place and such great staff!“

We ended up coming back around 7 pm for dinner and I have to say… it was a stellar choice. Willow was a delightful human to serve us. We picked a seat in the window, it was a romantic and cozy vibe. Flatbread was crispy and flavorful, burger was juicy with the perfect char, and drinks hit the spot. Staff were chill and fast, happy‑hour deals made it even better. “First - Anya was a rockstar and somehow served almost the entire restaurant on her own and still provided a great experience for our group of 15! Anya made this a great happy hour event!

Second - They quickly accommodated our group of 15 on a Thursday after our original location fell through. They made it work very well!

Third - For those looking for a location that's great for a group all taking different trains, it's very hard to beat this location in OTC.

Food was good, place was full and loud, made it a win for our larger group. Nicely done!“
