“Came here with my girlfriend for my birthday and I had a very wonderful night. We visited a rooftop restaurant which we left as the food options were very limited. When we saw Matisse Tavern and Grill, we wanted to stop by and visit. We were greeted with very big smiles of happy staff. They took us without reservation and we had been given very good service from Caesar. He gave us very good food recommendations. The bus guy also made sure we had a clean table. Very beautiful and clean restaurant. If you are looking for a chill, date night spot, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.“

“I stopped by on a walk and decided to check this out prior to selecting a dinner spot for my trip in Chicago. Greeted with charm as I requested to just take a glance at the space. We ended up coming back around 7 pm for dinner and I have to say… it was a stellar choice. Willow was a delightful human to serve us. We picked a seat in the window, it was a romantic and cozy vibe. Low lighting, just perfect for a dinner with a friend. Shepards Nachos are a MUST. Beef Tips…a must. Get the cheesecake… Shoutout to Willow for being a wonderful person to be around during our trip. Excellent service. 👌👌👌 We will be back. 💚“

“My wife and I visited Chief O’Neil’s last night for a late drink during a quick trip to Chicago. We were personally greeted and served by proprietor Anluan McKinney who took great care of us and told us about the pub’s history. The food and drinks were wonderful and the pub was clean, comfortable, and authentic. It may be my favorite Irish pub in the US.“

“I stopped by Little Toasted on a random afternoon in Chicago, and it honestly felt like one of those low-key finds you don’t plan for but end up loving. The space is small and cozy, with a clean, minimal vibe that makes it easy to just sit back and relax for a bit. It’s not trying too hard to be trendy, but it still feels modern and thoughtfully put together.
The toast is obviously the star. I ordered one of their signature toast boxes, and it came out perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, with fillings that were generous but not overwhelming. Every bite had that satisfying crunch followed by warm, savory flavor. It’s simple food, but done really well. You can tell they care about quality and consistency.
I also grabbed a drink to go with it, and it paired perfectly — not overly sweet, refreshing, and balanced. The whole experience felt comforting without being heavy. Service was friendly and quick, and even though it’s not a huge place, it didn’t feel cramped.
Overall, Little Toasted is the kind of spot I’d come back to when I want something casual, tasty, and reliable. It’s not flashy, but that’s kind of the charm — just good toast, good drinks, and a relaxed Chicago neighborhood feel.“

“I’m going to be so honest and say I’ve never been there but we can’t wait to. The owners and their family saved Thanksgiving when they donated food, resources and a kitchen to prepare food for 400-500 people (free of charge) at the 28th annual Thanksgiving Dinner at St. Benedict’s when the church’s kitchen became unusable. We met Halsted personally while volunteering and we were just take aback at how generous, kind and lovely these folks were to take on this challenge and on a holiday. I hope our community will continue to remember this and support these fantastic folks for a long, long time.“

“Absolutely obsessed. I ordered the charred veg salad with rotisserie chicken and it was massive, packed with veggies and absolutely delicious. Way better than any other office lunch I’ve had in the loop. The seating area was really nice and was clean. Didn’t have to wait for a table during peak lunch rush.
It took everything in me not to order the chocolate chip cookie. It looked incredible, chewy, and clearly made with brown butter.
The cashier was super friendly and urged me to check out the market and cafe that are all on the first floor of the building. I was so impressed! Will absolutely be back at all three. The coffee shop uses Dark Matter which is my favorite coffee in Chicago so I know where I’ll be tomorrow morning!“

“I had an amazing time at FTW Arcade Bar! The atmosphere is perfect for a fun night out with friends. The arcade games are a blast, and the vibe is electric.
What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service from our bartender, Luke. He was not only super friendly but also knew how to make some killer cocktails! Luke was attentive, quick, and always had a great recommendation ready when we were unsure of what to try next. His energy added to the overall fun of the night, making our experience unforgettable.
If you’re looking for a great place to unwind with games, drinks, and top-notch service, FTW is the spot to be. Huge shoutout to Luke..he made our night! Can’t wait to come back!“

“I'm traveling for work, just landed in Chicago, went to go to the USO, and was told, as a veteran having had deployed to Iraq, that I am not allowed in the USO by some civilian. That's wild. Guy said he needed DoD id, then I pointed to where my member ID was. He said not good enough and told me I had to leave. I've gone to a lot of USO's and never been turned away as a vet.“
