“My girlfriend and I found this place 5 days ago and decided to come back for lunch. We really enjoyed the onion soup, onion rings and steak sandwich, and chili. Lynn was very friendly and shared some interesting ghost stories and the story about the 1961 plane crash in the cornfield. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great. It feels like visiting an old family place, and it’s definitely worth the drive! No-wait at all!“

“I was in the neighborhood, so thought I would try Happy Bites and am so glad I did! on Wednesday I had the chicken sandwich special for 6.99. ( Sandwich, fries, and drink) Delicious chicken with toppings and lots of mayo on a stand up bun. I don't like them to fall apart. I don't usually eat fries, but these slightly seasoned, yet not salty, crispy hot fries were great! I ordered a side of sweet potato tots and they were equally delicious. I will return! Great food served hot, I don't mind waiting for my food to be made fresh. Great specials, more people should take advantage of the deals! Thank you!“

“Food was great! I ordered the 20pc meal deal traditional wings with cajun fries for 2-3 ppl + a side of mac&cheese. Buffalo lemon pepper and sweet chili were delicious! Really great wing spot. Just very bummed that I did not receive my mac&cheese in my order…would’ve loved to try it and didn’t think I’d have to double check to make sure I got all that I ordered :/ Only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars..“

“This is hands down our favorite restaurant. We eat here at least twice a week, and the consistency is one of the main reasons we keep coming back. The service is warm, efficient, and always welcoming. The chicken skewers are outstanding. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked just right every time. They are flavorful without being heavy, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. The Greek salad is equally impressive. Crisp vegetables, generous feta, balanced dressing, and always fresh. It is simple, but done exceptionally well. When a restaurant can deliver this level of quality consistently multiple times a week, that says everything. We highly recommend it.“

“This used to be our absolute favorite spot. My friends and I would come here several times a week, and we loved the familiar faces on the staff. Sadly, things have drastically changed for the worse. ​We noticed the staff began turning over constantly, and after speaking with some of the remaining employees, we found out why: the owner is reportedly keeping 40% of the servers' tips. Under Illinois law, tips belong entirely to the staff, and an owner taking a cut is entirely illegal. ​It breaks our heart to walk away from a place we loved, but our group has decided to take our business to other local spots that actually respect and support their employees. We won't be back until management corrects this and treats their staff fairly.“

“The food is simple and kid friendly (as it should be) and the train theme is super cute. I think our trip would have been better if we had ridden Metra there as it's right by the station. So something to consider for your trip as it was quite a drive for us.

I do feel for the poor server who was constantly re-aligning the train due to derailments. And she didn't have a cutoff switch - it's in the kitchen so she has to yell back. I think the rail setup could be improved for the employee's quality of life.“

Me and my friends have been going to this place all of our childhood and into our new adult lives and the place has always without fail meet and sometimes exceeded our expectations. It’s always a great time when we visit and the food is bomb! Great portion size and taste. The food is always ready fast and they have a lot on their menu. 10/10 would recommend😌“

“Astonishing that it's still around. I was 10 when it opened in 1948 and to get a double decker at HH was close to heaven. Across the street was Prince Castle, long gone, where you could get a slider for much less money. HH was a splurge and it's wonderful to see it live today.“

“No doubt the pizza’s are amazing but once we bring them home they do not taste good as we dine in at eat. Also, not only me but alot of people have noticed how rude the guy is who picks up the call. I am giving my order over the phone and he rushes me because he has someone coming in his restaurant. Next , I ask him couple of questions which he shows so much attitude. Third , I hate dining in this place . The guy keeps checking to see if we didn’t make the tables or floor messy. No kind of professionalism. We do not eat free . We pay for the pizza’s he should not show this type of etiquette“

A burger joint in a strip mall doesn’t inspire confidence, but you walk into this cozy place, with attractive wall murals, and somehow you get the feeling that you’re in the right place. We were in a rush, so came here for a quick lunch - ordered the following: double cheeseburgers, peri peri burgers, veggie samosa burger (off menu) and mango habañero wings….and EVERYTHING was fantastic!!! The double cheeseburgers were juicy, and succulent, the peri peri grilled chicken burger was tender and saucy, the wings were absolutely delicious, crisp despite the mango habañeeo sauce which had the perfect level of sweet heat. Lastly, the veggie burger - so the menu has FANTASTIC samosas, so when we asked if they had a veggie burger, they told us they can prepare a delicious burger using their veggie samosa. Imagine our skepticism, and then our utter shock, when it turned out to be the most delicious spicy, saucy samosa burger we have ever sunk our teeth in! Overall, an excellent experience, but with all the personnel exuding immense warmth and gracious hospitality. Definitely coming here OVER and OVER again!!! Yum!“
