However I will not do so since I will instead be enjoying everything about my repeated excellent experiences at China Garden on Gravois. I will leave you with this note - China Garden on Gravois is stupendous and makes all other Chinese take outs look like imitators.“

“Hosts were attentive and frequently refilled our water cups. Everything was freshly made and hot despite it was a later dinner for us. Some food was bland (mushrooms) until combined the sauce from another dish. Buffet was reasonably priced at 12.95. We'll definitely be returning!“
“The beef lo mein that I ordered was really good but the sweet and sour pork that I had ordered is really dry and crunchy and it's overcooked I'm not trying to give them a bad review I just hope that they see this and don't overcook the next order of sweet and sour pork that they make“

“We have lived in Waterloo for a long time, and never had the desire to stop at Ja Bowl. We decided on dinner on night on a whim, and ended up here. The food was your typical Chinese with a buffet type option as well. The service was ok, and the atmosphere was the typical Chinese sit down (older decor, dingy and dark). There, we tried Ja Bowl.. scratch that one off the list.“

“Best Chinese food in the surrounding metro area. Hands down the best crab Rangoon I’ve ever had and the Chicken Szechuan is always on point. It is a little pricy, but we don’t mind paying a little extra for quality! Will be ordering tonight!“

“I have been coming here for about 10 years now. It is consistent and always very good. I have tried probably 75% of the menu and have always been impressed. The portions are large and the prices are cheap. The staff are all incredibly friendly and this is a family run restaurant.“

“Very good and staff is very pleasant! Food is not salty which I look for in a Chinese restaurant. Loved it. Everything was great that we got. Crab Rangoon, egg rolls pork fried rice and orange chicken and cashew stir fried chicken. Can’t wait to go back.“

“We went here back in 1990. The food was awesome. So we stayed getting our food here. The service is quick and efficient. Have always got very fresh made food. We have tried a different place or two and that food never compares to Taste of China. Richard is awesome at the wok. He will make a special order for you. I wish they had rice noodle. But I understand that they have to stay competitive. Not everyone knows what rice noodle is. Thank you Jean and Richard for the awesome food and great service.“

“Much better than your typical “strip mall” Asian takeout. Our carry out order was exceptional! We customized our order online and everything was made perfectly. China King uses fresh, not canned, mushrooms and peppers. The rice noodles were the right texture, the veggie fried rice was flavorful and not excessively salty … and the crab Rangoon were FAAANTASTIC.
The staff is exceptional, as well. On our online order, we selected “no meat” They noticed that we added a few items that would have contained meat and made excellent recommendations for alternative dishes.“

“OMG!! I can't believe this place is right around the corner from my house and never tried them. We got the Dumplings, House special egg foo young, House special Lo Mein and House special fried rice. Everything that we tried was delicious! It did not disappoint and I highly recommend it!!“

“The food was pretty good,I went here cause I was very hungry,I was taking me a lunch break but didn't want to much, it was made fresh to order, The owner was very nice and pleasant, my food was how I like it, hot, onions with the egg was made right and the rice was lightly flavorable..rice was not sticky or hard, my egg was fluffy in the rice and my wings were ok, just wasn't much seasoning on them but they were cooked to the bone not raw or bloody tasting..I will be back, this hit the spot..Thanks China Garden I'll be back...“

“I'd give this place a 10, if I could. The lady who took my order held the door open on the way out, also offered to take my food to the car(on crutches after a knee surgery). Got home and the food was still steaming hot, tasted really fresh to. Will be my new go to spot.“
