“Most of the Chinese food on this side of town I've found to be not great. While not amazing, this place is what I expect when I get Chinese food. I always get great service, food's always ready on time. If they deliver, typically it shows up within the hour. Five stars for consistency.“
“The food was oilier than expected. The chicken in the kung pao and mushroom dishes were tough. The portions are the same as other locations. Service is slow as they are understaffed. If you’re craving Panda Express, the lower food quality and service is not too noticeable.“
“Really best for dine-in. Food is good. Northern china cuisine. As a non-Chinese, I appreciate that the menu has color photographs of most every item. Favorites are the spicy fish, twice cooked pork, glass noodles w pork, and sweet and sour pork (mostly just sweet). Okay were house noodles, noodles w fermented cabbage, braised knuckles. Least favorite was the dumpling soup -- mainly because I'm not a fan of cilantro. Place is small, but cute and clean. Service is prompt and friendly.“
“We were told to wait 35 minutes but we ended up waiting for an hour. But for Chinese food, we shall wait Meanwhile we bought Smoked oolong bbt, less sweet. It was very legit! We ordered the beef tripe cold dish, it’s chewy and spicy, worth ordering if you can handle spice. The beef hand-pulled noodles were a little disappointing as the noodles were mushy and not chewy as it should be. Eggplant dish was very yummy too, we drenched our rice bowls with the sauce!“
“It’s pretty cool to watch them making the dumplings. The service was good. The lady was super pleasant. You can a complimentary bowl of soup which was flavorful and warming. We ordered the chicken dumplings and the crab & pork dumplings. The crab and pork were the better of the two but both lacked a bit of flavor. You definitely couldn’t tell that crab was in there. The chicken was fried nice and crispy but don’t be fooled by the menu saying “hot wings” because nothing about these are hot. They barely even have any seasoning and they give you a side of sweet ketchup. Do make sure you grab a sparkling water tho because it’s probably some of the best I’ve had.“
“The best restaurant in Saint Louis. The food is so flavorful. I tried the gnocchi and the tofu dish and it was the best tasting dishes of those type I have ever had. You might require a reservation and the space is a bit limited, but the staff is very accommodating.“
“BEST VALUE for your money. They are a little bit short staffed, and, can be a bit of a wait. However, once you get the food, it's hot and DELICIOUS authentic Asian food. If you don't like the wait, you may order on the phone.I love it here , Vicky the owner is the best, and, so is the food in this small restaurant. Also, the bathroom is the back since it's an old Taco Bell store. Everything else is EXCELLENT.“
“I liked the majority of the food. Number 68, the shrimp was actually so bad. However, the rest of the bowl was nice if you added chili oil. The cilantro stems were a little too long for my liking though. Number 11 was delicious. The service was nice. Keep in mind that I am not familiar with this type of food. Overall, the food was great.“
“Fresh, fast and tasty. The way how the menu is structured, you can mix any combination of noodles, rice or buns with a variety of proteins and sauces.I tried the vermicelli with shrimp and sweet and sour sauce and it was very good. They baos were also great either way the peanut sauce.“
“DD Mau has become our first choice for Asian food, it’s so delicious that we visit at least once a week! Really appreciate the extensive vegan options, and that the food and service are both consistently excellent. They are a bit more expensive than some similar options, but I am happy to pay a little more to count on the food and service both being great. I also like that the owner is there regularly and actively engaged in the business.“
“Okay, so let me spill the beans about my secret comfort spot - Tony's K Food. Tucked away inside a Korean grocery, it's like stumbling upon a hidden foodie haven. Perfect for those "I-can't-be-bothered-to-cook" days, you know? The menu might be small, but every bite packs a punch of legit Korean flavors. My personal hero? The beef bulgogi - seriously, it's a portion that feels like a warm hug for your taste buds. And then there's the tteokbokki - it's got this spicy kick that's like a flavor rollercoaster. Trust me, it's spicy but oh-so-worth it.What I love most? It's takeout heaven. I get to bring all that goodness home without lifting a finger in the kitchen. Tony's K Food turns my lazy days into a Korean feast adventure, proving that you don't need a fancy setting for seriously good eats.“
“We arrived early on Sunday morning to try a new Pho restaurant. They prepare each bowl fresh upon ordering, which makes the process a bit slower, but I appreciate the attention to detail. The Pho was not only delicious but also offered a satisfying balance of quality and quantity. In addition to that, we ordered a boba smoothie; the owner customized it perfectly to my preference for less sugar, and it was delicious. We will definitely return and recommend this place to our friends.“
“This was my first time going to dim sum in St. Louis. I was surprised at how spacious the store was with its high ceilings. The staff was passing around putting dim sum in a cart, and it was an authentic style where you could take what you liked. The fried rice had a good taste, but the rice was crushed. I couldn't eat the seafood dim sum that I was looking for, so I would like to get revenge again. Prices are also reasonable.“
“The quality of the food is superb. $9.99 for an all you can eat lunch buffet is a steal. Small buffet, lots of chicken options limited beef and seafood. All of the chicken dishes were above average. Very good. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy. The biggest take away from the visit was that the chef was constantly coming out checking the quality of the food and removing anything that had been sitting for too long.“
“I’ve been to Cate Zone, the other good Chinese place in STL. Two very different restaurants, but Vegas Wok edges them out. 10 (no need to add on to the bill since no waiters) bucks buys a fantastic beef plate with veggies and rice and an excellent crab Rangoon. Many other things on the menu, like pork and braised beef and scallops. All good. I’ve never been in a smaller restaurant but it never gets too busy to get a table.“
“I'm giving five stars because I'm SO excited to see authentic Chinese dishes on a take out style Chinese place menu. I have yet to try the authentic ones but the food I did get was pretty decent. Not the best or the worst I've had. Just soild take out Chinese. The price is really what sways me here. It's so affordable compared to other Chinese places. AND they offer free add ons if you spend a certain amount. I got a whole pack of 4 delicious crispy Wantons for spending 20 dollars or more. Are you kidding me?! That is amazing. I'm just sad I can't order delivery from here all the time because it's too far from my house.“
“We were staying at the Wyndham by the airport and ordered for delivery. They were fast and very pleasant in person and on the phone. We ordered General Tso's Chicken and a Pu Pu Platter for Two. They were both very reasonably priced and delicious. I also ordered Lo Mein and asked for mushrooms and onions in it. It was perfect! The whole order was correct and only about $30. I will definitely eat here again if I am in the area.“
“The food is good, especially for the price. They dont put peas and carrots in their rice like most county chinese food places do. I called my order in and called back to change it and the person who handled my order was very kind and patient.“
“This is a little hole in the wall in a tiny strip mall. I had read decent reviews and was excited to try the place. I placed an order by phone and was told it would be 10 minutes. I got the combo plate as I ordered after the lunch hours. It was the pepper steak with onions, with white rice instead of fried rice, with crab Rangoon. The serving size was ample. The food was all still hot when I opened it at home. The dining room was closed, so it is strictly carryout. The staff was friendly. The food was delicious, and I look forward to trying other menu items when I come back.“
“I go there for saint paul sandwiches only so my rating is for them only. If you looking for total menu sorry. Their saint paul sandwiches are the best I drive ? 10 miles for them, dedicated. They are hard to catch though. Their so good they can control their hours ?“
“For the price, the food was great. Are there better options out there nearby? Possibly but they will be double the cost. The fried rice was a little greasy and I'd prefer more veggies and eggs but for $10 a plate, I didn't expect to get food as good as I actually did. Will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: The tofu is alright. Could be better and I've had worst.“
“Convenient location. I often order take out when doing grocery shopping. Food generally tastes good and they have fast service. Can be crowded over weekend, esp if yoh want to sit down. Once I found a piece of rubber band in the dish, probably left from vegetable, when they were super busy.“
“Very inexpensive but the reason is that the food is vegetable heavy. Food is still very good and if you're a veggie fan, probably the best place in town.I'm an out of towner but the St Paul Sandwich was good. I can't compare it to whatever the St Louis standard is though.“
“Best Chinese food! My husband and I recently moved away but we still drive 25 min out of way for this restaurant. I’ve been going here since I was a teenager and I’m 30 now. Food is always delicious and the women who takes orders/helps the customers who first walk in is always really nice and pleasant to deal with!“
“Ambiance = none I stopped in for plain white steamed rice to go. The smells are AMAZINGLY DELIGHTFUL so upon entering I was disappointed to see a large too With really no decor only tables and chairs. I did not go on a tour, nor peruse the online photos so I'm guessing that the back rooms are sexy intimate dining rooms. But that's for you to check out! Enjoy“
“Such a homey restaurant. It reminds me of my grandparents houses. The food is very authentic and delicious. Reminds me of a home cooked meal from my grandparents. Food served quickly and it's hot when it gets to your table. Rice is self-service and it isn't the freshest rice but you can get as much as you need. They do ask what you would like to drink but you can also grab it yourself at the fridge in the front of the restaurant. Desserts are also self service in the same fridge. 100% recommend the egg pudding.“
“This little gem ? was a wonderful place to stop in for you favorite Chinese take out. The establishment is very clean. The lobby and restrooms were sparkling. Service is friendly, efficient, and customer focused. The food was really fresh and tasty. We got the appetizer sampler, cashew shrimp, and pepper steak. There was way more food than 2 people could eat for lunch. We chose to dine in and their presentation was lovely! It felt much more elevated than a typical strip mall take out shop. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who has a craving for plump rangoons and tasty fried rice.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot, side walks and store are ample, stable, and accessible by wheelchair or other mobility devices.“
“Someone mentioned that the Ham Fried Rice is the best around. True. Crab Rangoon was way above average delicious as well. Delivered by what was probably the gentleman that started this family business 70 years ago or however long it's been around. Love that kind of family business. What an absolute delight!“
“Every order has tasted great (and accurate) and we keep going back for more as one of our favorite carry outs. There are two Chinese places a little closer to us but this is worth the few extra minutes to get there for good food and reasonable prices.“
“Everything was great but Pannipa was AMAZING!!! Best service ever. We loved the food and had a great time. Pannipa was so sweet and helpful. She took extra care for my gluten allergy and went above and beyond for us. We will be back for sure and you bet we will ask for Pannipa.Dietary restrictions: Very good about gluten and any allergy needs“
“They have great service it's best to call in ahead of time and go pick it up they have the best special fried rice they actually put stuff in it not like a lot of the other places that charge you a lot of money and give you nothing they're very generous great “
“I have come here several times over the past several years. Today I noticed they were slammed. I took note of everyone working the front including the cook running in and out. Despite a rush, everyone was still very good spirited and polite. I was just sitting back waiting my turn and thinking I should take this time to make a review. The food is great and the people are always nice. I strongly recommend this place.Kid-friendliness: There's a play center for kids here.“
“Great food, bad location. I would recommend this restaurant. One of the best Chinese food takeout in the city and county. The restaurant was recommended to me, now I'm recommending it to everyone...delicious! I've just learned they have another location as well, if you don't like to travel to the Natural Bridge location; but the food is great. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.“
“Our normal Chinese place was closed today so we tried Yen Ching. The taste of the sweet n sour chicken and cashew chicken sauces was very good but it was very thick. The chicken was crispy. The crab rangoon was very good! The fried rice was not fried at all, it was just white rice with some crisp vegetables. The egg drop soup was littlerally a bowl of eggs...there was no soup involved. The customer servuce was great. They were quick, food was hot and the restaurant was very clean. My review is based on my own preferences and just thought others would benefit from it. It was fairly expensive @ $43 for 2 meals and an appetizer“
“King Doh is always a great for dine in Chinese. I haven't ordered to go, but love the quiet atmosphere with my family. The staff is great and playful with my kids. The only thing is I miss is the hot tea pots and cups, and also the vinegar and soy sauce on the table for pot stickers.“
“THE BEST CHINESE FOOD in St. Louis is served here! The food takes about 10-15 minutes to make once they take your order which is 15-20 minutes faster than some others we’ve visited. That being said, their combo plates are awesome! I also recommend their spring rolls (light and fluffy) and their almond cookies are 3 for $1.00! Ands taste great! This restaurant is very reasonably priced in spite of inflation. There were three of us who ordered from there and the cost with combo plate, 1 set of 3 cookies, an order of spring rolls (and egg roll that comes with combo plate) was around $13-$14 with tax. If you skip the spring rolls, it would be around $11. Or $10 if only the combo plate. I personally think this restaurant is a diamond that other Chinese food foodies have yet to discover. But I personally will stay a loyal customer because the food is just devine! I ordered beef broccoli. If you like these two foods, I suggest trying it at this restaurant! There is a sauce that permeates the fish even past when the food it gone. Food stays minister and hit to the end! Not spicy at all. Also, their menu puts a hit pepper emoji next to any spicy foods on their menu so no awful surprises for your tongue and taste buds when your order is served. We did take out and even after driving home and unpacking groceries, this food was still hot (temp)! This restaurant is just so on point!“
“Idk what they put in this general tso's chicken, but it's literally the best I've ever had. And the crab rangoon? I could eat 100 of these. Using grubhub to deliver can be a bit hit or miss when it comes to timing, but it's well worth it for the price.“
“Ordered carry out from there last night and everything was absolutely delicious! It’s under new management so the way the food is prepared has changed quite a bit and is a lot fresher and flavorful than under previous management. It’s seriously some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in the Crestwood area. I just wish they would use non-plastic/styrofoam containers and switch to more environmentally friendly biodegradable packaging.“
“If you want an authentic Chinese food fair, this is the place! This restaurant offers authentic Chinese Chao Zhou cuisine which is the only one in St. Louis. The dishes are prepared with authentic spices and flavors. Don’t be confused if you can’t find the price for the dishes, just ask the owner and they will tell you. It is a small operation and you can take free tea and water from the “help yourself“ area. It can be easily missed from the street since no special advertisement is put out. After trying it once I’ll definitely come back for more delicious dishes!“
“Me and my family go to Dynasty buffet a lot and never have had any issues there. Food is always fresh and delicious. The people are very attentive and caring towards the costumers. Plus they are very good price compared to a lot of Chinese restaurants Ive been to.“
“I have been a frequent guest of Pei Wei over the years. My early experience was fine, but lately the quality of the meals has decreased. The portions of rice to protein/vegetables and sauce have changed from 60%~40% to 40%~60%. In other words, after eating I end up with a bowl of rice. Take out some of the rice and increase the “good” stuff!“
“This is usually my go to for Chinese take out. Been coming here for years. The fried rice is pretty good. When the new owners first took over, the quality took a bit of a hit. The rice was kinda mushy. Since then they got their stuff together and the quality has improved. The real reason that keeps me coming back are the fried wontons. They're my favorite. Some places don't have wonton at all. Most of the others who do that I've tried, are not very good. Too often, what you get when you bite into one is some dried, shriveled up piece of meat. That's not the case here. They're always hot and fresh with a full, juicy center. If you like fried wonton, check this place out.“
“I actually liked this place. The food was very good, in comparison to so many other standard chinese places. The atmosphere is the same as every other chinese restaurant, that's why I always get it to go.I'll be back to try again and hopefully it's the same quality.“
“This place was great! I got a Mongolian Beef lunch and special. It came with fried rice, soup, and a crab rangoon as well as a vegetable egg roll. The owner is a super nice person and very flexible with any substitutions. Really enjoyed the overall experience and I don't normally write reviews.“
“The place is a staplein the community. We love running in for some rice, wings and egg rolls. Not sure what they cook the wings in, but you got about 1 hr to eat them before they are cold and nasty. You can not reheat. Its not the same. Also im still trying to figure out why you only get 5 shrimp in the shrimp fried rice...smh.“
“I have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. I love this place! The food is always great, I have never had anything here that hasn't tasted great. The staff is always so nice and friendly. I always look forward to getting food here.“
“My Chinese restaurant that I usually go to is on vacation. Wanted some chinese food looked at reviews. This place is good. Hot and sour soup is very good, great flavor.. Mongolian beef is good just be ware it is spicy. But a good spicy. Love the the online ordering and they are very pleasant. Lastly the place is clean, probably the cleaniest take out chinese place I have ever been to . Will be back!“
“Always good food and good prices, when they are open...Hours vary and not always accurate. I've found they are randomly closed on some days. Dine in is not an option anymore, even 4 years post covid (their dining room is still closed).“
“If you are looking for good Chinese take out in South County check in with China King. All the workers are all polite and very helpful. They do have a few tables - but we (and most people) use them for take out. Everyone in the family really seems to like their crab Rangoon They have large portions for a great family sharing dinner. If you are looking for a healthy choice - I like the Mai Fun Chicken. Really enjoy the rice noodles, vegetables and chicken. I like to add a little spice - hot sauce and soy sauce and mix it up. If fried rice is more your speed - recommend the chicken or beef.“
“We’ve been going to Wan Fu for years and loved Helen and Alan who I hope are enjoying their retirement!Having big shoes to fill, the new Wan Fu is fantastic! They have a lot of the fan favorite original Wan Fu menu items but have also made it their own by adding other delicious items. So glad that Wan Fu lives on and is thriving!“
