“This is my fourth time in St. Louis, and each time I've randomly ordered Chinese food, which has always been quite ordinary. This time, I ordered from this restaurant, and I think it's the best lo mein I've ever had. The large portion of lo mein was generous, and the noodles were very fresh! The General Tso's chicken was also plentiful and tasted good. If I come to St. Louis again, I will definitely visit this little restaurant again! By the way, the guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful!“

“I was introduced to Cate Zone quinine during the pandemic (so take-away). It was my first time having the ‘hot crispy fish’ and I now dream about that fish. (To put that into perspective, i rarely choose fish, or have cravings for it.)
I have since invited friends for dining in pick-up orders. Yes, the inside is small and the prices have jumped. For me though, this restaurant is worth returning to. I prepare in advance if i need to wait. I am glad to see so many people ordering.
I don’t order often because of the rising prices, but it just makes it a treat now when i can go.“

“This was such a cute little family owned restaurant. While it looked like most people picked up for delivery, you can eat in and they give you paper plates. We ordered the popcorn chicken which had fried basil in it and it was so unexpected and delicious! My littles loved the stir fry noodles. Also unexpected was what they called Chicken Chili stir fry! The pork belly melted in our mouths!! Absolutely delicious. We will be back“

“NO vegetables in Shrimp St. Paul sandwich. Sweet & Sour Shrimp was 1 container of plain white rice, NO vegetables anywhere, the "shrimp" (2/3 plain fried breading & 1/3 shrimp) was NOT cooked in sweet & sour sauce, and packed separately. Quality is now abominable.“

“A back alley restaurant with absolutely bussn food! Small and can get crowded quick but the food comes out quick. I had the best lo mein of my life here. The vibe is exactly what you'd expect so you know the food is going to be amazing.“

“I love that it's casual, and food is so good, fast and hot. And it's not a crowded as the Olive location. Highly recommended. It is my favorite Chinese eatery!
You can't go wrong with anything that you order but I love their pork belly noodles, sizzling platter of eggplants or tofu, spicy crispy chicken or sweet and sour fish... but really, everything is great.
I normally get one familiar dish that I love, plus a new dish I've never had before. Two entrees and share with two people, you still have leftover for another meal. Just phenomenal place for lunch AND dinner.

“I have eaten at YET Bun twice and both times the food was delicious. I had been meaning to try tgis places for years and I finally got a chance to do so. The gravy is dark and very favorable. The rice is fried to perfection and the portions are decent. Look rice is not super cheap like it use to be back in 2007, but if I am going to spend almost $10 on rice it better be good like this location!! While the atmosphere is a bit sketchy with the location it's still worth the drive!“

“This review is for the bakery ONLY. Everytime we go to St. Louis, we stop here (We live at the Lake of the Ozarks). The mini custard pies are amazing, try the fried, sesame seed balls which are filled with two different kinds of bean custard, both are delicious.
The yeast buns are stuffed with a variety of sweets and cheeses and are killer. On the right side of the shop as you enter, there are usually a few versions of the Dim Sum they serve next door in the restaurant and they are all DELICIOUS!

I've purchased the Duck & the deep fried pork hanging in the window, several times & it's been legit. We buy half a duck because there's only 3 of us, but plenty. I always order a small order of their rice so we can eat our duck at the hotel.
It can be VERY crowded on the weekends, so come as soon as they open. There's usually only the one lady working the register and dude chopping up the duck & pork, but they're fast. A++++ It's not cheap but it's soooo worth it.“

“This restaurant appears to have been a drive in at some point so pulling into the parking lot is kind of cool. Once you get out of your car, you go inside and order your food. They were doing a brisk carry out business, obviously they were very well known in the neighborhood. We chose to eat in one of the booths. Yes, it wouldn't hurt if someone did a bit of cleaning around the windows, but we weren't too put off and really enjoyed our meals. Would return.“

“I frequently dine out at places like Pei Wei but Pei Wei has become my new favorite. That is due in no small part to Jacinta, one of the employees. They were having a bit of a mid afternoon rush and she was acting as the cashier, server, bus person and just about everything else associated with front of house in a restaurant. She really hustled and took care of everyone efficiently and with a smile. Honestly if I wasn’t retired and was still in business I would try to steal her away. “My first stop when I come in town from Florida. The food is the best Chinese food in the country. Not exaggerating. The chicken broccoli with garlic sauce is my favorite. The hot and sour soup is also the best I have ever had. The shrimp dishes are also delicious. The food is always very fresh tasting and cooked perfectly -- crisp vegetables & tender meat. “Solid chop suey spot in the county. They are still serving up what I’m starting to think of as soul Chinese food. The box of rice we grew up on. It’s hot, reasonably priced, salty, and good. I hate how dirty the outside is and I wish they gave us a better experience but as long as the rice is good and the shrimp are clean, I’ll be back.“

There was only one staff member working which I feel is reasonable considering it wasn’t extremely busy. The food was tasty. I do wish the menu and experience was better explained to my group. “The service that I received was A1. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. The St. Paul was probably the best I've ever had. The ingredients seemed very fresh and they sprinkled a little salt on top of the St. Paul patty which was a pleasant surprise for my taste buds. The hot braised chicken is good. The crab rangoon is really good. The fried rice isn't anything to brag about in my opinion though it's not bad by any means. It's a mix between the cities dark fried rice and the county's typical light colored rice. I'd probably opt for steamed white rice next time. My only complaint is that there was a man sitting inside asking everyone for money. He wasn't rude by any means but it made me uncomfortable. With all that said, I'd still go back because the food was really good overall.“

I have seen staff deflect, and argue with customers when they share their grievance. That is very unprofessional. Please learn how to respect the community that patronize your business daily!!! When customers share their grievances, please learn how to listen and find a way to accommodate their need.“

“We patronize Harolds at least a couple of times a month. Harolds has been open in Saint Louis City for some time, and I've been told by some long-time residents in the area that this place of business gives back to the community that serves. My family will continue to support this establishment.“

“This is a great little hole in the wall but amazing Chinese restaurant! I stumbled upon it while having a craving for Hot & Sour soup. The location is easy to get to off Lindbergh. I was amazing how many locals were inside ordering food and taking it to go. It seems to be mostly a to go spot. I was given some recommendations right there from some of their most loyal customers. Hands down their general tso chicken was indeed great. And the soup I craved didn’t disappoint! I’ll be back.“
