“We've been going here for almost 2 years now. It's our go to for Chinese food and we've never had a bad experience. The food is always hot and delicious and super affordable, the service is always quick and friendly. I will always highly recommend Wok Express.“

“My husband and I absolutely love this place! The food is consistently delicious and authentic, and we always make it a point to order and pick up from here.
It’s interesting how some reviews focus on things other than the food. For example, Debby Leonard gave it one star, mentioning the restrooms and the building, but she didn’t say a word about the food itself.
It makes you wonder—did she go for the food or the ambiance? If the food is what you’re after, that should be the focus of the review!“

“Overall great prices and amazing food! I enjoy going there with my friends since a lot of the meals are shareable which makes the experience even better. I will say if you come during a rush hour, you’re most likely going to be added to the waitlist and if I’m correct you usually have to put yourself on the waitlist once you arrive since they don’t really do call-ins. Other than that, this place is truly a must and I enjoy every little thing about this restaurant.“

“This was such a cute little family owned restaurant. While it looked like most people picked up for delivery, you can eat in and they give you paper plates. We ordered the popcorn chicken which had fried basil in it and it was so unexpected and delicious! My littles loved the stir fry noodles. Also unexpected was what they called Chicken Chili stir fry! The pork belly melted in our mouths!! Absolutely delicious. We will be back“

“Me and my husband were so excited to go to P.F. Chang’s tonight, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! It was not just the good food and drinks, it was the whole experience that makes this restaurant great. We had Rob as our server tonight, and he made us feel welcomed from the start. Rob was very genuine and knowledgeable about the drinks and food. Tonight we had the dumplings that came out steaming and delicious. As our entrees I enjoyed the garlic noodles and my husband had the teriyaki beef and fried rice. We finished off our meal by sharing that new butter cake, and we definitely recommend. I enjoyed a long pour of cabinet and my husband had the bud light. We felt that Rob was very good at his job, and we were glad to have him. We will definitely be back again!“

“NO vegetables in Shrimp St. Paul sandwich. Sweet & Sour Shrimp was 1 container of plain white rice, NO vegetables anywhere, the "shrimp" (2/3 plain fried breading & 1/3 shrimp) was NOT cooked in sweet & sour sauce, and packed separately. Quality is now abominable.“

“A back alley restaurant with absolutely bussn food! Small and can get crowded quick but the food comes out quick. I had the best lo mein of my life here. The vibe is exactly what you'd expect so you know the food is going to be amazing.“

“I LOVE this location of Cate Zone. It is beautiful and much bigger than the U City location. They adjust the spice level and have fast service for both take out and sit down meals. Portions are large, especially the noodle soups. Several vegetarian options available.
Strongly recommend“

“I tried this place a few times and the last time it was sooo delicious! The lady at the front had a rude and passive attitude. I let her know when I ordered I wanted sweet and sour sauce with the order. I had 3 egg rolls, a lunch plate, & a box of rice. When I picked up the order and reminded her I want sweet & sour she put it in the bag, staples it & handed it to me. I open the bag & it’s 2 packets of sauce in there. She put maybe 20 soy sauce, plenty cayenne pepper and only 2 sweet & sour. I said to her that wasn’t enough for what I ordered and she counts out 2 more and gives it to me. I again, tell her that isn’t enough for us and now I want to know how much it cost to get more because that was stingy of her. I would’ve paid for the sauce to begin with if I knew she was petty. $1 for 15 sauces is nothing. Why waste additional sauces I didn’t ask for and be skimpy with what I insisted I want? I’d be back because the food is good. Energy like that isn’t what people want before they feed themselves.“

“Kimmy and Adrianna were absolutely amazing! They were incredibly busy the entire time, but they still made sure everyone was taken care of. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tasting a lot of fun. You could tell they were working hard, and they handled the rush like pros. I’d definitely stop by another event if they were there!“

“Thank you Xièxiè nǐ! for one of the best customer service experiences since being back in the area! Your smiles and words shone during ordering, and when you came out to bring me our food! The egg dishes, such as St. Paul's and Egg Food Young, seem to contain double the eggs compared to other restaurants. I will be back to try the Teriyaki Chicken as you requested! Also, I love your presentation with the egg foo young! It keeps the egg warmer!“

“This review is for the bakery ONLY. Everytime we go to St. Louis, we stop here (We live at the Lake of the Ozarks). The mini custard pies are amazing, try the fried, sesame seed balls which are filled with two different kinds of bean custard, both are delicious.
The yeast buns are stuffed with a variety of sweets and cheeses and are killer. On the right side of the shop as you enter, there are usually a few versions of the Dim Sum they serve next door in the restaurant and they are all DELICIOUS!
I've purchased the Duck & the deep fried pork hanging in the window, several times & it's been legit. We buy half a duck because there's only 3 of us, but plenty. I always order a small order of their rice so we can eat our duck at the hotel.
It can be VERY crowded on the weekends, so come as soon as they open. There's usually only the one lady working the register and dude chopping up the duck & pork, but they're fast. A++++ It's not cheap but it's soooo worth it.“

“We went a couple hours before they closed so it was not crowded at all but the service was really good. The server was patient with it being my first time there. The food was plentiful; well worth the price. They have many options for sauce so you can make your own flavor boosters and it was really clean. Would go again.“

“I frequently dine out at places like Pei Wei but Pei Wei has become my new favorite. That is due in no small part to Jacinta, one of the employees. They were having a bit of a mid afternoon rush and she was acting as the cashier, server, bus person and just about everything else associated with front of house in a restaurant. She really hustled and took care of everyone efficiently and with a smile. Honestly if I wasn’t retired and was still in business I would try to steal her away. I’ve eaten at Pei Wei for lunch the last three days and I don’t see that trend stopping anytime soon.“

“Decided to try a new dish somewhere new to me. This was the best of Chinese options. Small. Unpretentious. Cheap. My entire lunch special was $6.99. I can't remember what I last saw prices like this, and the food was great. A little sweet. A little spicy.“

“This is my fourth time in St. Louis, and each time I've randomly ordered Chinese food, which has always been quite ordinary. This time, I ordered from this restaurant, and I think it's the best lo mein I've ever had. The large portion of lo mein was generous, and the noodles were very fresh! The General Tso's chicken was also plentiful and tasted good. If I come to St. Louis again, I will definitely visit this little restaurant again! By the way, the guy at the counter was very friendly and helpful!“

“I have been stopping at China in Bombay every time I pass through the St. Louis area for years, and it continues to be a reliable favorite.
This visit was no exception. The beef pho was outstanding. The broth was deeply flavorful, hearty, and comforting, and the portion size was enormous. Easily one of the highlights of the meal and something I would go out of my way to order again.
I also tried the cashew shrimp and the Szechuan chicken sticks. While I personally would have preferred the shrimp fried rather than stir fried, and the chicken sticks actually served on a stick, both dishes were still very tasty and well seasoned. The flavors were bold and satisfying, even if they were slightly different from what I expected.
The food quality here is consistently excellent, and the flavors feel authentic rather than watered down. A major plus for me is that the food is halal, which makes this a dependable stop every time I am in the area.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The space itself is small, but that is well known, and most people opt for takeout. Even so, dining in was still a pleasant experience.
China in Bombay remains a must stop for me whenever I am passing through St. Louis. Great food, generous portions, authentic flavors, and friendly service. Highly recommended.“

“The restaurant was extremely quiet as I was the only one there. The food and service were wonderful, pleasant and fast! The atmosphere was a good vibe but, they had fans running which is fine but, on a warm day like today air would've been better. I will be back with my family!!“

“Solid Chinese takeout! We got the moo goo gai pan and orange chicken dinner combos, egg drop soup, and crab Rangoons. The only food we didn't enjoy were the egg rolls on the side of the dinner combos - they had a strange taste to them. Everything else was good though!“

“Solid chop suey spot in the county. They are still serving up what I’m starting to think of as soul Chinese food. The box of rice we grew up on. It’s hot, reasonably priced, salty, and good. I hate how dirty the outside is and I wish they gave us a better experience but as long as the rice is good and the shrimp are clean, I’ll be back.“

“This is my Go-to place. I don’t enjoy “St. Louis style Chinamen” so I opt for the more commercial style fast food Chinese restaurants. They always have the best Fried rice, wings, and crab Rangoons. Very friendly and accommodating if I want extra pork in my rice.“

“Crab rangoon, fried rice and egg rolls are incredible and very well priced! My husband and I both ate for $18 with plenty of leftovers! Highly recommend if you are in the STL area. I only wish we could have eaten inside because we were staying in a hotel 30 mins away so we ate in our car. So be ready to take it to go!“

“It's like so many of the other fast food style Chinese restaurants around. The place was clean but you couldn't dine there. They were out of a few ingredients so he had the substitute some proteins for other proteins. The person that took my order was friendly enough, food was cooked and ready to carry out in the normal amount of time. Not sure I choose this restaurant the next time I want Chinese as they're just too many other ones to try as well. However important, I wouldn't not choose it because of anything that was wrong with it. I'm kind of looking for that special kind of place that serves food that I remember from a much younger day.“

“The service that I received was A1. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. The St. Paul was probably the best I've ever had. The ingredients seemed very fresh and they sprinkled a little salt on top of the St. Paul patty which was a pleasant surprise for my taste buds. The hot braised chicken is good. The crab rangoon is really good. The fried rice isn't anything to brag about in my opinion though it's not bad by any means. It's a mix between the cities dark fried rice and the county's typical light colored rice. I'd probably opt for steamed white rice next time. My only complaint is that there was a man sitting inside asking everyone for money. He wasn't rude by any means but it made me uncomfortable. With all that said, I'd still go back because the food was really good overall.“

“Very upscale and beautiful interior restaurant. Clean and peaceful feeling. Crab rangoon are stuffed full and very flavorful
They use round lo mein noodles instead of the flat ones and their sauce is good but not as seasoned as others I've tried. May be good for someone who is sensitive to strong seasoning.
Service was polite and super quick. We would eat there again.“

“We recently visited St. Louis Kitchen Chinese Restaurant and had a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant has a family-friendly atmosphere, and the staff was welcoming and efficient.
Our food was prepared quickly and was ready in about 15 minutes. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and made to order. The menu offers a wide variety of options, making it easy for everyone in the group to find something they enjoy.
The only area for improvement would be the dining room temperature, as the interior of the restaurant felt a little warm during our visit. However, that did not take away from the quality of the food and service.
Overall, St. Louis Kitchen is a great choice for Chinese food with plenty of menu options and fast service. If you're looking for a tasty meal at a reasonable price, it's definitely worth a try.“
