“Parking: Difficult, tight area off DorsettYa make a left off Dorsett, immediately make a hard left, next, ( small parking lot) that you have to then work your way around and make a hard right, to the adjoining lot that's small, very short a spot, ?..Lol.. if it's busy it gets ruff with people coming and going!“
“I've tried over 24 of their menu options, mostly sauces I haven't tried them all.. everytime I order it is ready about 10 mins and is so delicious and fresh.. I've been ordering here for over 4 years and have been pleased with the food, service, and price..“
“Corner 17 has THE BEST Chinese food around! The hand-pulled noodles, dumplings, baos, chicken skewers, wontons, wonton soup, and fried rice are all absolutely delicious..and you get very generous portions for a fair price! We have never eaten in (we always order to go), but the little interaction I've had with the staff when I've picked up my orders has always been positive! Also, I REALLY appreciate the updated to-go bags...they're way more durable (I don't have to worry about my hefty order potentially breaking through the bottom like with the standard brown paper bags) and the insulation inside helps keep our food nice and hot until we're ready to chow down! Thank you, Corner 17...keep up the AWESOME work!“
“Really best for dine-in. Food is good. Northern china cuisine. As a non-Chinese, I appreciate that the menu has color photographs of most every item. Favorites are the spicy fish, twice cooked pork, glass noodles w pork, and sweet and sour pork (mostly just sweet). Okay were house noodles, noodles w fermented cabbage, braised knuckles. Least favorite was the dumpling soup -- mainly because I'm not a fan of cilantro. Place is small, but cute and clean. Service is prompt and friendly.“
“2nd time coming back! This time we dined in since we needed a break from driving! Got the chicken and pork. Flavorful as before! Although the pork ones were better! They had a chili that was yummy too! Since we dined in, we got complementary chicken broth soups! Very flavorful as well! Love this place!“
“The best restaurant in Saint Louis. The food is so flavorful. I tried the gnocchi and the tofu dish and it was the best tasting dishes of those type I have ever had. You might require a reservation and the space is a bit limited, but the staff is very accommodating.“
“BEST VALUE for your money. They are a little bit short staffed, and, can be a bit of a wait. However, once you get the food, it's hot and DELICIOUS authentic Asian food. If you don't like the wait, you may order on the phone.I love it here , Vicky the owner is the best, and, so is the food in this small restaurant. Also, the bathroom is the back since it's an old Taco Bell store. Everything else is EXCELLENT.“
“Our server was very sweet. The food is always good! I've purchased 3 of the t shirts the sell too! Very cool! The wait area feels a little tight at times, and you sort of feel like you don't know where to stand, but it's a nice spot. Very good food! Fun for girls' night or the family. Nice variety in the menu as well!“
“Fresh, fast and tasty. The way how the menu is structured, you can mix any combination of noodles, rice or buns with a variety of proteins and sauces.I tried the vermicelli with shrimp and sweet and sour sauce and it was very good. They baos were also great either way the peanut sauce.“
“One of my favorite local Chinese places!! Cute little mom and pop atmosphere, family owned. They are always really friendly and know me by face at this point. They even pointed out when we changed our hair which says a lot about customer service here. The good is always fresh but my absolute favorite meal is the honey chicken wings & shrimp fried rice combination plate. Literally one of the best combinations plates in STL and I'm super picky about Chinese food. Don't walk, RUN‼“
“Okay, so let me spill the beans about my secret comfort spot - Tony's K Food. Tucked away inside a Korean grocery, it's like stumbling upon a hidden foodie haven. Perfect for those "I-can't-be-bothered-to-cook" days, you know? The menu might be small, but every bite packs a punch of legit Korean flavors. My personal hero? The beef bulgogi - seriously, it's a portion that feels like a warm hug for your taste buds. And then there's the tteokbokki - it's got this spicy kick that's like a flavor rollercoaster. Trust me, it's spicy but oh-so-worth it.What I love most? It's takeout heaven. I get to bring all that goodness home without lifting a finger in the kitchen. Tony's K Food turns my lazy days into a Korean feast adventure, proving that you don't need a fancy setting for seriously good eats.“
“We arrived early on Sunday morning to try a new Pho restaurant. They prepare each bowl fresh upon ordering, which makes the process a bit slower, but I appreciate the attention to detail. The Pho was not only delicious but also offered a satisfying balance of quality and quantity. In addition to that, we ordered a boba smoothie; the owner customized it perfectly to my preference for less sugar, and it was delicious. We will definitely return and recommend this place to our friends.“
“I’ve been to Cate Zone, the other good Chinese place in STL. Two very different restaurants, but Vegas Wok edges them out. 10 (no need to add on to the bill since no waiters) bucks buys a fantastic beef plate with veggies and rice and an excellent crab Rangoon. Many other things on the menu, like pork and braised beef and scallops. All good. I’ve never been in a smaller restaurant but it never gets too busy to get a table.“
“Non-descript corner bakery that serves authentic Chinese bakery items along with roast meats and a smattering of dimsum dishes. Gets busy on weekends around late morning. Has other branch on S. Grand but that location has a smaller assortment of items.“
“Soooooo good. Not greasy like other places and it’s incredibly cheap. Portions are also huge.Edit after coming here for years:Generally the wait time is longer than quoted for carry out orders so we plan accordingly. However, our order time was quoted to be 35 minutes and we waited 90 minutes for our food. We don’t mind waiting, just wish the wait times were more accurate. For those curious, the “Springfield style cashew chicken” is nothing of the sort. It has a very doughy, soggy breading, unlike the breading on their orange chicken. The sauce is good though!Orange chicken and crab rangoon are always delicious!“
“They are ok. Not the best in st.Louis I asked for dark rice, it was not dark, I asked for no onions or Bean sprouts of course they added onions. After picking out the onions the food was still good.Vegetarian options: Veggie rice is cool. They don’t add a lot of veggies tho.“
“I'm giving five stars because I'm SO excited to see authentic Chinese dishes on a take out style Chinese place menu. I have yet to try the authentic ones but the food I did get was pretty decent. Not the best or the worst I've had. Just soild take out Chinese. The price is really what sways me here. It's so affordable compared to other Chinese places. AND they offer free add ons if you spend a certain amount. I got a whole pack of 4 delicious crispy Wantons for spending 20 dollars or more. Are you kidding me?! That is amazing. I'm just sad I can't order delivery from here all the time because it's too far from my house.“
“We were staying at the Wyndham by the airport and ordered for delivery. They were fast and very pleasant in person and on the phone. We ordered General Tso's Chicken and a Pu Pu Platter for Two. They were both very reasonably priced and delicious. I also ordered Lo Mein and asked for mushrooms and onions in it. It was perfect! The whole order was correct and only about $30. I will definitely eat here again if I am in the area.“
“The food is good, especially for the price. They dont put peas and carrots in their rice like most county chinese food places do. I called my order in and called back to change it and the person who handled my order was very kind and patient.“
“I absolutely love this china king. The employees are professional, and the food is always great! I've tried a few other chinese restaurants over the years, and they all fell short (in my opinion!) To china king. They always have what I want, and it's always been worth the wait. (I order in person, but they also have call in for ordering ahead.) I've been going there for years and will continue to for years to come! My go-to's are honey chicken, shrimp egg rolls, and house special fried rice. Other favorites are shrimp lo lein, pork egg rolls, and the dumplings!“
“Recently dined here for the first time and had a pleasant experience thanks to all the help from the bartender Kylee! She had such a friendly & welcoming energy and gave the greatest guidance with suggestions to help with our order. She provided the best customer service and we will be back thanks to her!“
“I wanted to try a St. Paul Sandwich, and Old St Louis Chop Suey came up as having a great one. I had my doubts, but the service was great, and the sandwich was excellent. I have not tried the rest of their menu, but if you are looking for the unique experience of a St. Paul sandwich, this is your spot.“
“Convenient location. I often order take out when doing grocery shopping. Food generally tastes good and they have fast service. Can be crowded over weekend, esp if yoh want to sit down. Once I found a piece of rubber band in the dish, probably left from vegetable, when they were super busy.“
“We’ve been going to Wan Fu for years and loved Helen and Alan who I hope are enjoying their retirement!Having big shoes to fill, the new Wan Fu is fantastic! They have a lot of the fan favorite original Wan Fu menu items but have also made it their own by adding other delicious items. So glad that Wan Fu lives on and is thriving!“
“Very inexpensive but the reason is that the food is vegetable heavy. Food is still very good and if you're a veggie fan, probably the best place in town.I'm an out of towner but the St Paul Sandwich was good. I can't compare it to whatever the St Louis standard is though.“
“I go there for saint paul sandwiches only so my rating is for them only. If you looking for total menu sorry. Their saint paul sandwiches are the best I drive ? 10 miles for them, dedicated. They are hard to catch though. Their so good they can control their hours ?“
“Ambiance = none I stopped in for plain white steamed rice to go. The smells are AMAZINGLY DELIGHTFUL so upon entering I was disappointed to see a large too With really no decor only tables and chairs. I did not go on a tour, nor peruse the online photos so I'm guessing that the back rooms are sexy intimate dining rooms. But that's for you to check out! Enjoy“
“Someone mentioned that the Ham Fried Rice is the best around. True. Crab Rangoon was way above average delicious as well. Delivered by what was probably the gentleman that started this family business 70 years ago or however long it's been around. Love that kind of family business. What an absolute delight!“
“Every order has tasted great (and accurate) and we keep going back for more as one of our favorite carry outs. There are two Chinese places a little closer to us but this is worth the few extra minutes to get there for good food and reasonable prices.“
“This place is awesome. The customer service here is amazing. Great family run business The woman that takes the order is very sweet. Her husband and daughters I am assuming, cooks some delicious food. I been coming here for about 3 years picking up deliveries. Tonight was the first night I ever ordered from here. I ordered sweet and sour chicken dinner combination that came with fried rice and egg roll I ordered I bag of 6 crab rangoon . The chicken was cooked perfectly. Plenty of sweet and sour sauce for the chicken and enough to dip my rangoon’s & egg roll The egg roll was amazing. I would definitely be ordering other menu items in the near future.“
“Such a homey restaurant. It reminds me of my grandparents houses. The food is very authentic and delicious. Reminds me of a home cooked meal from my grandparents. Food served quickly and it's hot when it gets to your table. Rice is self-service and it isn't the freshest rice but you can get as much as you need. They do ask what you would like to drink but you can also grab it yourself at the fridge in the front of the restaurant. Desserts are also self service in the same fridge. 100% recommend the egg pudding.“
“This has been my favorite Chinese restaurant for the past 3 years and it's so good every time love the chicken fried rice and chicken lo main My favorite is the chicken Saint Paul sandwich and the orange chicken... they are very kind I've also bought the little bamboo plants they have at the counter!“
“They have great service it's best to call in ahead of time and go pick it up they have the best special fried rice they actually put stuff in it not like a lot of the other places that charge you a lot of money and give you nothing they're very generous great “
“Great food, bad location. I would recommend this restaurant. One of the best Chinese food takeout in the city and county. The restaurant was recommended to me, now I'm recommending it to everyone...delicious! I've just learned they have another location as well, if you don't like to travel to the Natural Bridge location; but the food is great. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.“
“Our normal Chinese place was closed today so we tried Yen Ching. The taste of the sweet n sour chicken and cashew chicken sauces was very good but it was very thick. The chicken was crispy. The crab rangoon was very good! The fried rice was not fried at all, it was just white rice with some crisp vegetables. The egg drop soup was littlerally a bowl of eggs...there was no soup involved. The customer servuce was great. They were quick, food was hot and the restaurant was very clean. My review is based on my own preferences and just thought others would benefit from it. It was fairly expensive @ $43 for 2 meals and an appetizer“
“King Doh is always a great for dine in Chinese. I haven't ordered to go, but love the quiet atmosphere with my family. The staff is great and playful with my kids. The only thing is I miss is the hot tea pots and cups, and also the vinegar and soy sauce on the table for pot stickers.“
“Idk what they put in this general tso's chicken, but it's literally the best I've ever had. And the crab rangoon? I could eat 100 of these. Using grubhub to deliver can be a bit hit or miss when it comes to timing, but it's well worth it for the price.“
“On 4/12/24 at 7:30pm We had the best experience yet during our visit, The young man working the register and helping everyone with the menu is a outstanding person. I have to say it's the best service we have had since before COVID. The whole place is ran great and very clean with quality food. But the service was outstanding. The owner should be proud of the staff. This visit will make me come back even more often. T.y“
“I actually liked this place. The food was very good, in comparison to so many other standard chinese places. The atmosphere is the same as every other chinese restaurant, that's why I always get it to go.I'll be back to try again and hopefully it's the same quality.“
“This place was great! I got a Mongolian Beef lunch and special. It came with fried rice, soup, and a crab rangoon as well as a vegetable egg roll. The owner is a super nice person and very flexible with any substitutions. Really enjoyed the overall experience and I don't normally write reviews.“
“Got take out here for dinner one night while visiting my son and his gf - they go often and love it. We did too! My husbands tofu dish was great - it was the one under specials (the other one is soft tofu - this was sauteed and had great texture. Also loved the mixed veggies (half of us were vegetarian). There were also some chicken dishes that were well received. The ordering and pick up process was easy - would definitely order again.“
“Great food and very clean restaurant! There wasn’t many people eating inside, a lot of online pick ups, but I highly recommend stopping in and dinning in store. The people working were great and very kind, the food came out quickly and tasted amazing, some of the best fried rice around. Highly recommend this China King!!Vegetarian options: They have of course vegetable fried rice and some really good vegetable Lo Mein. They also had a vegetarian section on the menu in which my wife got the garlic broccoli that was super good!“
“The place is a staplein the community. We love running in for some rice, wings and egg rolls. Not sure what they cook the wings in, but you got about 1 hr to eat them before they are cold and nasty. You can not reheat. Its not the same. Also im still trying to figure out why you only get 5 shrimp in the shrimp fried rice...smh.“
“The service that I received was A1. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. The St. Paul was probably the best I've ever had. The ingredients seemed very fresh and they sprinkled a little salt on top of the St. Paul patty which was a pleasant surprise for my taste buds. The hot braised chicken is good. The crab rangoon is really good. The fried rice isn't anything to brag about in my opinion though it's not bad by any means. It's a mix between the cities dark fried rice and the county's typical light colored rice. I'd probably opt for steamed white rice next time. My only complaint is that there was a man sitting inside asking everyone for money. He wasn't rude by any means but it made me uncomfortable. With all that said, I'd still go back because the food was really good overall.“
“In a small strip mall at Page & Hanley sits this nice little gem. I had a stop after work and was craving Chinese. As I was not close to the place I usually go to, I decided try a new restaurant. I am glad I did. I found the rice and crab rangoon better than my usual place. There is no indoor seating, just a friendly person, behind a counter who politely takes your order. There is a nice variety of delicious food. I am pretty basic in my food choices and went with plain fried rice and crab rangoon. The rice is quite good, and the crab rangoon is very tasty. This was my first time here, but it won't be my last.“
“Trying to call in an order is very hard and inconvenient. Another phone line would really help. I had to keep calling about 8 times to get thru to order.Parking: SO MANY PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE TOO GOOD TO PARK IN PARKING SPOTS, THEY PARK ALONG THE CURB ILLEGALLY“
“I had a craving for special Lo Mein and Crab Rangoon. I came here on a referral and it was sooo good. It did not disappoint. Seasoned well, great portion size and fresh to order. Pricing was reasonable as well. As I waited I checked out the menu and I'm delighted to say I'll definitely be back . So many dishes I love to try. I'm actually excited:) . Parking was ample. Building well lit, and clean . Staff was nice and speedy with taking order and no long wait time. Only complaint was the box the 1/2 order of Lo Mein comes in is a carton. You only get a closed container if you get a whole order. In my opinion any juice dish in a carry out order should be in a flat container and or a bowl or cup of some sort. By the time I made it home all my juice was dripping everywhere. If this was fixed this would have easily been a 5 star rating.“
“This is my family's favorite buffet, especially when it is crab legs and seafood on the weekend. It is spacious and offers many great options, including my favorite steamed flounder and stir-fry rice vermicelli. They also have hitbachi service. There could be a long line around 6 pm. It is best to come before 6 pm or after 7 pm.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly“
“I love their ham fried rice. Seasoned well, large chunks of ham and not dry or greasy. The only downside in my opinion is, they are a little pricey for a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Also, many chinese restaurants taxes are included in the price but here, they are added afterward. I got a half order of fried rice with bean sprouts and extra onion and it was $8.00. That to me is highway robbery.“
“Great food, great service, great people, great atmosphere!!!!!Vegetarian options: Their food is great for vegetarians ?!!!!!Dietary restrictions: Anyone can eat here because they have many vegan options!Parking: Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant and on the side.Kid-friendliness: Kids will love it here!!!!! It’s clean and bright!“
