“I highly recommend Hacienda in Pekin. Their food is top-notch, their service is swift and always friendly, and they have been an anchor for me on my journey to sobriety and improving my mental health. Just today, I stopped in for lunch and was about to leave, and one of the servers, Omar, remembered me and congratulated me on another month sober and for making it through another year. 🥹 Not every restaurant has people working who remember the little details like that. This place is home to me. ❤️“

“I love this place for ice cream- I do wish they had more seating inside, it’s just bulky chairs and tables and then sad to see a whole section just for gaming. Menu is huge but can be confusing, is it on the wall? Is it on the shield? Ice cream names are cute but idk what that name means flavor wise. A clearer menu with breakdowns of each ice cream would be great.“

“I had the Ultimate Burrito with chicken and it was fire! Can I say fire? I might be too old to say fire🤷🏻♂️ oh well. The Trifecta chips and salsa were also delicious, we loved all three dips😍. Danielle had the Smash burger salad and she said it was awesome! It was also HUGE. Great food and atmosphere, thanks Grudens😃“

“Delightful selection of food choices but menu is not overwhelming. Margaritas are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Entrees as well as Fajitas are full of flavor. Fried ice cream is again the best around! Service is wonderful, staff very attentive and friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals today! We’ll definitely be back!“

“Omgersh....that was the best chicken burrito I have ever had! Just be careful of the juice dripping down! You'll want to eat that too. Eat it over the delicious chips and salsa! The salsa has a kick, but it's a kick that adds to the flavor! Definitely recommend. Worth the trip downtown.“

“I've been going here for a few years now and everytime I go its just as amazing as the first time! the chorizo burrito is by far my favorite thing on the menu ive had, absolutely fantastic flavor and well worth the 13$ ! I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for great food“

“Me my wife and daughter went for lunch, we had mole, Birria tacos and carne asada. I have been to hundreds of mexican restaurants and none have tasted so fresh and light with so much flavor! Simply amazing food and service. The ambiance was clean and fresh. Their tamale appetizer was 9.5! What a great place to eat traditional mexican cuisine! Also that rice wowowowowoww“

“Rodney was absolutely great! We didn’t know there wasn’t dine in anymore and was under new ownership. He let us sit down anyway and treated us with such kindness and provided excellent service regardless! The food, TERRIFIC! My grandma and I got their nachos, DELICIOUS! My sister got their horseshoe burrito and said “this burrito is the best burrito I’ve ever had”. My grandma sister and I had determined they have the best queso in town. 10/10, highly recommend (but maybe go in knowing they have carry out only lol)“

“Pancheros in Peoria is legit my go-to spot when I’m craving a burrito. Everything tastes fresh, and their tortillas (made right in front of you) make all the difference. If you’re in the mood to switch things up, definitely grab the chicken quesadilla. Just know that if you put two different meats on the quesadilla, they have a slight up-charge for the extra meat.“

“as a regular customer, I can't think of anything on the menu that I wouldn't recommend. the food is always fast , hot, and delicious. the margaritas actually have tequila in them, not like so many other restaurants I've had in the past. the staff is second to none, every single one of them goes out of their way to great us when they see us.“

“Chips and salsa: crunchy and tasty chips with a sweet salsa that hits the back of your tongue and throat with a hint of spice.
Margarita: Mango and Strawberry flavor with a good sugar and alcohol balance.
Main dishes: My wife had the fish taco and thought it was a little sweet, but not overly sweet. She used the cilantro mayo to help add some savory/spice. I had the birria tacos, which had so much flavor and a consommé with a nice spice. I also had an Al pastor taco with some pineapple to provide a sweet taste.
Seems like they lean more towards a sweet flavor in their dishes, which isn't terrible, and I like that twist, but I also like for my food to be more on the spicy side. Highly recommend others to come and try this place out.“

“Best margaritas in the Peoria area. Enjoyed many Rita’s this summer outdoors by myself or with friends. Food is great and servers are very attentive, and always smiling. Going to miss the warm weather sitting outside sipping on my favorite drink!“

“This was my first time coming here. I had asked another popular taco chain yesterday if they had served regular tacos in the morning for a party my son was having at school. I was told yes, indeed. I got there at popular food chain and was told no, they do not. I came to Taco John's, they were friendly, fast. I will definitely come back! Thank you for being life savers!“
