“My go-to coffee is from the Little Creperie. I used to be a starbucks drinker, and now I can’t ever go back to it after tasting the quality of Little Creperie’s coffees. My absolute favorites are the Honey Lavender Latte, Pistachio Creme Latte, and Mocha. Not only do the coffees taste amazing, but the presentation is so cute!!“

“Went there for the 1st time last Saturday. The service and the food were both excellent. Amber was on top of everything and was very knowledgable about the menu items. Husband had a ‘skillet’ breakfast and I had the granola/berry French toast. We left very little food and we didn’t need much to eat afterwards. “I had a great time at this lovely little restaurant last night. I was so excited to try it and I love French food. We ordered almost every appetizer and they were all fantastic. My favorites were the venison steak tartare, and the salad lyonnaise. I had the duck for my entree and it was incredible. My friends had the steak tartare and the sausages as their entrees and they were super happy. Wine was also awesome. I can't wait to go back and try more.“

“After driving past Elijah's in the mornings for the last few months I finally decided to stop in and give it a try (you should always try to support local). I ordered a large Black Coffee with a shot of espresso, I even mentioned to the guy making my coffee that it was my first time here and he was polite and said Welcome. (When was the last time you heard someone say welcome?) The girl behind the counter asked if I wanted anything else and I asked If they made there Scones fresh and she said yes we bake daily. I bought a variety to bring to the gig for the crew this morning. My Coffee was made exactly the way I make it at home and the Scones were still warm and made me feel like I was on Arthur Avenue at Morrone's pastry in the Bronx waiting in line for them to come out of the oven fresh. I must give Elijah's Coffee 5 stars today and recommend it to everybody and I will now be a customer. “Their waffles and crepes are amazing—each portion is big enough for two people. The only thing I’d complain about is the drinks. The coffee tastes a bit off, and they only serve tea bags. I truly believe that if they improved their beverages, this place could easily become our favorite dessert spot in Chicago. That said, the staff are incredibly helpful. When I mentioned I didn’t like my coffee, they kindly offered me another drink for free and even tried to customize it to my taste. It didn’t quite fix the coffee, but I still left with a smile. “A very unassuming place, that serves the best food at probably the cheapest prices anywhere. The owner and his adorable wife, are both from Albania. She speaks Albanian & Greek and excellent English. The husband stays back in the kitchen creating the excellent food and the wife serves patrons out front. If you're not on a particular diet, and just want some good old-fashioned wholesome diner-type food, this is place.“

“This hotel is perfectly located roughly equidistant between O’Hare and Wrigley. Depending on the time and day, you can get a very reasonably-priced Uber ride to either location. It is also within walking distance of several great restaurants. Le Meridian is clean and modern, and in a very safe area. Our room on the second floor was also very clean and modern. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downsides: no free coffee in the morning, a bit noisy at night, and the mattress is so comfortable, it makes me realize how uncomfortable my mattress is at home!“

“My wife, myself, and 2 young kids have been visiting Level Up Cafe & Lounge since they opened. The owners Shawn and Victoria do a great job. The staff is very friendly, they have delicious refreshing protein shakes, smoothies, food, and adult beverages. We absolutely love the atmosphere and free arcade with purchase. There are always young children there whom our kids are always playing with. It’s a great social, playful, and friendly place to be. We highly recommend Cafe Level Up & Lounge for a fun night out!!“

“Little known fact....the food at Stella's is complimentary as long as you're playing, typically with more than $20. This isnt a food bank so dont go in there with a dollar and expect free pizza and drink. Comfortable from the staff to the game room to it's well lit location this is always a winner.“

“I stopped by the Glen Ellyn Metra train station for some coffee, and got a surprise. It was a real pleasure talking to Mary, who is not only selling great coffee and scones (more tasty and affordable than the chain stores), but working with other stakeholders in the space to keep the building clean while also maintaining a vegetable garden on the grounds surrounding the station. After talking with her, it's obvious to me that she is pursuing a labor of love, and she is a true inspiration. I can't think of a more pleasant way to board the train in the morning, or just hang out for a game of chess when things are quiet during the day. More towns should get creative like this and make these kinds of spaces more inspiring, rather than just a drab place to gather while in a rush to get somewhere else.“
