“Love this bagel shop/fresh muffins too. My son loves their breakfast sandwiches, I love all the variety of bagels, muffins, and coffees. My favorite is the cheesy bagel twists. Variety of cream cheese flavors as well.“

“I recently visited this spot and tried the Nova Lox Bagel. While the bagel itself was fresh and well-toasted, the salmon was a letdown. Nova lox is typically known for being less salty than regular smoked salmon, but in this case, it was overly salty and overwhelmed the other flavors. The toppings, like cream cheese, capers, and onions, were well-balanced, but the saltiness of the salmon really detracted from the overall experience.

I also decided to try the apricot cookie, but that turned out to be a mistake. I was surprised to learn it cost nearly $5—far more than I expected for a single cookie. Unfortunately, the taste was disappointing; it was so unpalatable that I couldn’t even finish it. The texture was dense and off-putting, and the apricot flavor was barely there. It felt like a waste of money, and I left feeling dissatisfied.

The prices were reasonable for the bagel, but the quality didn’t fully match my expectations. As for the cookie, it was overpriced and not worth trying again. Overall, a mixed experience—there’s potential, but the execution fell short.“

“We were in last week. Had chicken noodle soup and a poultry salad sandwich on a salted pretzel bagel. Both huge and delicious. Great value for what you get and the man at the counter was very kind and patient with these first time visitors!“

“Have been here several times for their chai latte which, my opinion, is fantastic. I’ve also had their bagel melt with a turkey sausage and it was great. It came with a side of chips. Very close to the chicago botanical garden and prices are good. Really nice atmosphere, kind of like a bistro. Fun place to go to, and the people are great.“

“I've been here three times in the past year and have been wowed each time. The employees are always nice and accommodating. The food is perfect each time, the bathrooms and restaurant itself are very clean, and the space is welcoming! That's saying a lot from someone who worked in a lot of restaurants over the years and can easily spot issues. Bagels are chewy, thaw nicely after being in my freezer for a bit, and make excellent sandwiches. Thank you for the Windex and cleaning up my water bottle catastrophe ;)“

“I finally was in the area and managed to stop by and try this bakery out today. Having a nut allergy, safe bakeries are extremely hard to come by. The fact that this place is also delicious will have me back for sure. Nice employee, delicious treats, I definitely recommend.“

“Update:
I went a second time to try more things. I wouldn't recommend the potato pancakes. I don't know if it was an off day but the potatoes were dry, like they were left out for too long and then fried.
But the belly lox sandwich was amazing! On the salty side but that's how we like it. It came with a side of potato salad which was also amazing.

The food was good but not great. The bagel and cream cheese were good and standard but the pastrami hash and eggs were okay with not a lot of flavor. I'll definitely go back to try different Bagels and other items.“

“Some of the best pastries I have ever had! I have been there several times now and plan to keep going. Service has always been quick and efficient. Staff is polite, cafe is kept very clean, there is a little play area for kids, and they even have Mahjong tables you can rent for free! I plan to play Hong Kong style with some friends in September. I am so grateful for this cafe.“

“I wish I could give Chris and his team at the Einstein Bros Bagels in Vernon Hills more than 5 stars. The system was down to preorder breakfast for my office. I came in frantically as I was running late and Chris got all hands-on deck to make our large order. I was out in no time, and the bagel sandwiches were amazing. If you want a delicious breakfast with impeccable service...come here!“

“Came here on a whim one day for a snack with my family, April and Randall took such good care of us. They were so welcoming and kind that we drive the extra distance to come to this location rather than any of the closer Einstein Bros stores, even with gas being what it is now! Our kids love the bagels so much that we end up needing new shmear each time and the bagels really help on school mornings. Can’t say enough good things about this location or my interactions with them, and I can only hope they get the recognition and praise they rightfully deserve.“
