“One of the best local breakfast or lunch spots in town! I've been by a few times with friends over the last few months and have tried the avocado toast and a few other items. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and even offered us complimentary soups while we were waiting for our meals, which arrived quickly and tasted absolutely amazing. For the quality of the food, the prices are insanely cheap. The monster cookie is to DIE for. Highly recommend you stop in and check this place out if you need coffee or a good healthy morning or afternoon meal!“

“The food was fresh and piping hot as the waitress brought it out to everyone in my 5-person party. I had the meatlovers skillet. The meats were cooked to my liking, no uncooked bacon, and the potatoes were fully cooked to perfection. The eggs were cheesy and blended together easily in my skillet. The pancakes were fluffy and hot with my meal. The wait was semi long for table/booth, but the food didn't disappoint.“

“Had a good time here for dinner. Expect, my friends food came out with a hair. When the manager came around she says no one back there was hair like this. Insinuating that we put the hair in the food. None the less we got a new skillet and my friend said “do you need it back” and “check the camera I didn’t do anything.” Danielle our server was funny and always brings good vibes.“

“I visited Jonelle’s Restaurant in Hammond on a Saturday early evening and was immediately pleased to discover they serve breakfast all day. As someone who truly appreciates a hearty breakfast meal at any hour, this was a major plus for my visit.
Regarding the atmosphere, the look of the place is definitely a bit outdated and could certainly use some refurbishing to bring it into the modern era. However, if you are looking for good food rather than high-end decor, that’s certainly not a deal-breaker. The vibe is very 'classic local diner.' I noticed that all of the waitstaff looked to be in their early 20s or younger. While they were friendly, there was a somewhat lengthy wait before I was able to actually place my order.
Once the food arrived, I was very pleased with the portions and quality. I ordered a breakfast skillet which was delicious, especially after adding a little salt and pepper to bring out the flavors. I will admit the meal felt a bit pricey; by the time I finished and left a generous tip, the total was $30. But then again, I eat like a horse, so I certainly got my money's worth in volume! I would recommend Jonelle's to anyone in the area and would eat here again.“
