“I stopped here with my boyfriend on the way out of town. We both had quiche (different kinds), and both were just fantastic. We also both had the Cream of Mushroom soup and loved it. Further, the service is excellent. We had a hiccup with our order, and when we pointed it out, the owner personally made sure it was immediately made right. This is a five star place. I can’t wait to come back.“

“This place is great. They only offer two main dishes and those change daily. The food is really good, and the cost for a full meal is a suggested $10. The proceeds go to run the place, and help people with food insecurity. So if you don't have the cash, you can pay less. Or volunteer for free meals. “My husband and I finally got to check out this coffee shop! It was absolutely amazing. I had an amazing service experience. I wish I could remember the individual who helped me, but I have forgotten their name. I ordered the Iced Leroy and my husband ordered the mailman frappe. Both were fantastic. Mine had peanut butter mocha and banana. The banana flavor was not overwhelming which I figured it would be. It was the perfect mix! We also got a cinnamon roll. It was so good and served just slightly warm. The only downside is I wish it were just a bit warmer and it would be absolutely fantastic! Don’t miss out on this coffee shop. Shop small and local!! 10/10 recommend!!“

“I wasn't sure if the inside area was available for dine-in so I waited in the queue for the drive-in. Once at the window, the ladies told me to come inside to enjoy my breakfast.I got a hot Almond Joy latté which definitely tasted like the candy bar but was also not too sweet! The chorizo breakfast burrito was so good! The cheese was perfectly melted throughout! I wish I would have gotten a video.I also got a pup cup for my dog at home as well as some house-made treats. He loved them all!There were only two people working, and they hustled! They were so busy but they were still super friendly and got everything out in a timely manner. Highly recommend!“

“Last year I moved to town for work and needed a new coffee spot. The gentleman that served me that morning and the following few months were wonderful. The service here is amazing and the food and coffee is even better. One day I came in during customer appreciation week and drew this mug out of a bag. “When I'm in the Quad Cities visiting family, I always try to stop at Lavender Crest for Lunch and of course wine. . My most recent visit was on a beautiful sunny Friday afternoon. We dined on their outdoor patio. I love eating outside when I can and the patio offers a nice view of part of their Vineyard. I sampled 1 of the newest wines, Stone Grown. It's a white sweet wine of Apple and Cinnamon. We loved it so much we had a bottle with our lunch. A nice bonus if you buy 6 bottles you receive 10% off. For lunch I had a cup of the Tomato Bisque Soup and Ron's Roast Beef. The soup was nice and hot and very flavorful. I also enjoyed the sandwich, but next time I'd ask them to toast or grill the bread. It is a very hearty appetizing sandwich. Our server was excellent and very attentive. She easily handled a number of tables during a busy lunch time. I've been here several times throughout the years and have never been disappointed.“

“I saw this on my way home and decided to stop in. They were surprisingly not busy at 7 am. The café is beautifully set-up with plenty of seating for remote workers, students, or friends meeting up. The staff was super nice and patiently answered all of my questions as a first-timer.I got a seasonal drink, the Cindy Lou. It was an espresso drink flavored with lavender, mint, and vanilla cream. I also got the Heavenly Mama breakfast sandwich which was egg, bacon, gouda, tomato, and aioli on a brioche. Both items were so good! The coffee didn't seem to be over-roasted like most places and they didn't inundate it with syrup. The drink was adequately sweet, and not overly so. I also bought a cookie which is made locally by a small vendor. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be back!“

“Had a couple hours to kill during a business trip to Moline. Checked out Dead Poets for breakfast and coffee. Service and food were awesome. Good gluten free options. I'm normally a basic coffee guy but ordered "the poe" and it was excellent. Will def check out next time I'm in the Quad Cities.“

The food was so good, I wasn't even that hungry and I smashed it all LOL The grilled chicken panini with added bacon and spinach was great, the side of potato salad was good but small but that's okay because they only charged $2 for it, but the tomato bisque soup was what was amazing. “We flew 4 families from around the country to crash at a local Airbnb for a family reunion. We decided to take a stroll to the Valley Country Cafe, at the recommendation of my mom (who had eaten there the day before), with 10 people on a Friday morning. Immediately impressed, they had a table ready for us (my mom had warned them we were coming) and were on top of drinks within moments of us arriving. I'm always pleased with a carafe of coffee at the table, so we didn't have to ask for refills. This was a nice touch! The menu has just about anything you could ask for, from pancakes & crepes, to omelets and a variety of biscuit & gravy options... The kids & grownups alike were beyond excited by the sprinkles and chocolate chip options for the pancakes. They kept on top of our drink refills, our food arrived promptly & was hot and delicious, and service was amazing. The entire staff was friendly and easy to talk to. They didn't hesitate to bring hot sauces or refills whenever we'd asked. The food was delicious! Hot, fresh, well seasoned! I usually cringe at the idea of taking a large party out to eat, because inevitably - something goes wrong... but not this time.
