“We have been to Weaver’s twice with big groups and the food both times was excellent and so was the service! Recently just there Jan 7, 2023 with a group of 12. Our server did an amazing job! Food came out much quicker than anticipated with that big of a group and was excellent! If you haven’t tried the lemonade shake ups- they are awesome! I recommend Weavers if you haven’t tried it you should!!!“

“Finally, after looking for memorable fried chicken in Peoria, Illinois, I found it right here at the Bartonville diner. It's not for looking, because I have eaten fried chicken at eight or 10 other places and search. Things I like about this venue is the old-fashioned venue that I've missed for so long. Also, the service is provided with a cheery smile! Follow the fried chicken dinner with a huge slice of carrot cake and a scoop of ice cream. I highly recommend the Bartonville diner! Their menu is huge, so don't just go there for the fried chicken.“

“I’ve been a regular to this place for the last five years, and it never fails to impress. The food is consistently delightful, with a perfect blend of Middle Eastern flavors that tantalize the taste buds. Their fries are, without a doubt, the best in town—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. What makes Khoury’s stand out is the combination of quick service and friendly staff, which makes every visit a pleasure. It’s refreshing to have a fast-food option that doesn’t compromise on health or quality. The fusion of tastes here is a delight.“

“One of the best-kept secrets in Peoria! The atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was the best we've experienced anywhere in the area or for that matter anywhere. And the food? Phenomenal is the only word that comes to mind! This may sound crazy but the scalloped potatoes were simply fabulous. My Delmonico steak... I've eaten at restaurants that charged 5 times the price and I'd take this steak over theirs hands down. My wife had the wild boar and she raved over it. I simply cannot recommend it enough.“

“Nice little restaurant. I haven't been here in many years. My hot beef sandwich was cooked correctly, portion size was huge and was utterly delicious if you overlook the tremendous amount of salt saturated throughout the dish. Plenty of free, close parking and handicap accessible entrance. Staff was courteous, attentive and well trained. The store was clean and well lit. Beware only cash and local checks accepted as payment!“

“I love Childers. Great environment, great food. Amazing coffee choices. The southern Benedict is my favoriteKid-friendliness: They don't skimp on their children's menu. They get a fancy brioche style bun for the burger. The chicken tenders are great, too.“

“The food was great as well as the service. Sorry, I didn't get the name of our waitress. We were in the lower level with 2 very vocal baby girls for a surprise birthday for my brother Mike. Our waitress was awesome!Kid-friendliness: They had high chairs for the babies“
“We jumped off the highway for a quick lunch while on vacation to northern Illinois. Found this place on Yelp. It was an easy stop off the highway. The owner recommended the tenderloin prepared fresh in house. They were even kind enough to serve it in separate baskets with an extra toasted bun. It was perfect. Pounded thin and served crispy with all the fixings. I also recommend the fresh haystack onion rings! Would definitely stop here again if in the area.“

“Fantastic food and a hard-working owner! Our first trip here for Easter Sunday brunch could have been a wash if we didn’t gather our patience and embrace the fact that any place as mobbed and behind as this just had to be great food. A fellow food lover in the line promised me it would be worth the wait and she was right. The issue was every owner’s nightmare—-staff calling out in a booked day. This owner kept a smile on his face even as he was clearly performing many jobs! Once our large party was seated, we enjoyed some of the best brisket, fried chicken, greens, and grits to be had in the area. Seasoned is the word, and to perfection. We loved the vibe of this busy spot, clearly a local fave, in addition to the great food. Doesn’t look fancy and isn’t pretentious despite cuisine worth bragging about. Can’t wait to go back for the regular menu and perhaps smaller non holiday crowd.“

“As always, the food here is great. But the employees make everything even better. I can’t tell you how many of them go out of their way to make going to Culver’s a good experience. I highly recommend going to this Culver’s. It’s evident the workers really care.“

“One of my favorite airports, simply because it's so easy! Parking is free, security is fast, people are friendly and there are only a few gates. You can literally arrive 30 minutes before your plane takes off and still make your flight. What's not to love?“

“Had grilled catfish and shrimp jook box. Owner may balk at grilling the catfish cuz it can fall apart on the grill, but insist on it. It was out of this world. Seasoning was Cajun style but not blackened, just great bit of heat. Shrimp cooked just right, rice excellent too. Really enjoyed it.Hard to find though, winter entrance is back corner of building facing both Walmart and Landmark, 4 glass doors labelled "Premier Event Center."“

“My wife and I stopped on our trip for happy hour and were treated first class by the bartender and Josh, our server. They apparently were the only ones working at that time and were running to keep up with the orders, still keeping a great attitude and a smile on their faces.“
“Best wing spot in the city. They always get the perfect fry (IMO hard/crispy and still juicy inside) that stands up to to sauces and doesn't get soggy. They have the most sauce and flavoring options available in the area. All that I've tried have been really good. They have classic flavors like mild, garlic parm, lemon pepper and they have really creative combos like jun jun and vaya pickle ranch. They fry a good fish too. Call in orders can be busy sometimes and may take a few tries. Pop in to order if you're in area, they're pretty quick.“

“I went out to Kickapoo, IL right off of Rt 74 with my son recently and had brunch with him. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive there for me but well worth the time. Normally I get the same thing to eat when I go out ( their famous meatloaf, masked potatoes n gravy, green beans and a hot roll) but this time I decided to change it up a bit and boy was I glad I did. This time I got a hot ham and cheese sandwich served with potato chips and an order of their famous onion rings. The minute they sat my plate in front of me, I knew I made the right choice. I expected to get that real thin shaved ham like one gets from the grocery store in the lunch meat aisle but this sandwich had nice thick slices taken from a whole ham you bake in the oven. It was cooked to perfection, and it was perfectly moist. One bite into that sandwich and I was in heaven. I should have included a picture of all the food we had, but before I even thought of it, the food was gone. It was that amazing. The onions rings were cooked perfectly with a beautiful golden brown mouth watering color and not dripping of oil like I’ve had in so many other restaurants. The waitress asked if we would like dessert but sadly enough, I was too full. Once we left, I was kicking myself for not purchasing one of their fresh baked pies to take home with me. Yeah folks, they bake their pies every single morning and you can take one or more of them home with you. Or…..if you are hosting a holiday meal at your house or a birthday , anniversary party or whatever the occasion, you can put in an order for pies and they will bake them for you so all you have to do is go pick them up. You have a choice of Apple, Cherry, Red Raspberry, Peach, Blackberry, Dutch apple, Apricot, Coconut Cream, Toffee, Butterscotch, Lemon, Peanut Butter Reese, Lemon, Raisin, Pumpkin, Chocolate, Cookie, Banana Cream, Red Raspberry, Pecan, Strawberry, Blueberry Crumble and Key Lime. I highly recommend you make the trip to the Jubilee Café for either breakfast, lunch or dinner, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. They are open seven days a week from 6 AM to 8 PM and are closed on Thanksgiving day and Christmas Day so the staff can be with their families. Please do yourself a favor and go out to Kickapoo to the Jubilee Café and check it out. Oh and for all you truck drivers out there, they have parking out there for your big rigs behind the cafe on the west side of the building. Side note: They serve breakfast all day! Bon appétit everyone!“
