“This is the 2nd time we've been here. It was alright. The tots were amazing. Other than that, we know they were shorthanded, but it was 3 of us and another party of 5. It seemed odd that the owner would leave the restaurant understaffed. We sat near the open garage door. It was a nice day but the elderly lady, who clearly didn't need a cigarette, stood right in front. I'm also not a huge fan of non-service animals walking through a place that serves food. The server is friendly and as attentive as she could be considering the situation.“

“Everything we ordered was exceptional, including the best cheese curds ever and chocolate chip cake that ticks every box (and then some). Our waitress was so fun and treated us like family. “From the moment we stepped into Old Republic Kitchen & Bar we knew we chose the right place to celebrate. We hosted my husband's retirement party here, and the evening was nothing short of spectacular! The atmosphere is perfect blend of rustic warmth and modern charm. We were greeted with friendly smiles and impeccable service from the ENTIRE staff. From drink orders to desserts, every detail was handled with care and professionalism. The party menu was perfect, beautifully presented and the food was outstanding! What really set Old Republic apart was how well they accommodated our group. They helped us throw a retirement party that was personable, joyful and truly unforgettable! A special thank you to Jorge for coordinating every detail of our event; and to Chef for the beautiful presentation of food and the entire staff who made our party a success! We are forever grateful! We highly recommend Old Republic Kitchen & Bar for parties, special occasions, or just a great night out!“

“Great chicken fingers!!! But if someone in charge could please fix the menu on DoorDash for the mozzarella sticks? It says it comes with marinara sauce, but then makes you select from a list of sauces and marinara is not a choice. So one time I just picked a different sauce and got that sauce and not the marinara and the other time I picked no sauce and didn’t get anything. So if marinara sauce could be added to the sauce selection so there’s no confusion that would be wonderful.“

“First time coming here today and I will definitely come back. My 73 year old mother got stung on her hand while we were eating in the parking lot and ending up dropping her sandwich. The manager was so kind and gave us a nice size bag of ice for her bee sting and they remade her sandwich fresh for her. The whole staff was exteremly friendly and kind and the food was amazing. Thank you for you wonderful and kind serve! Made my first time experince very pleasent considering the situation... The bag of ice helped my mother so much! Thank you kindly“

“My family and I had a burial service at a cemetery in Maple Park this past Saturday 6/7. We were expecting around 20 people to attend. We planned on going to Bootleggers for lunch afterword. My daughter called the Monday before and set everything up. Gave them the number of people and what time we would be there. We arrived and they had no idea that we were coming. Whomever took the phone call on Monday didn't relay the info to the Saturday staff. All that being said, our server, I did not get her name, crushed it. She had the whole place to wait on, and she did a fantastic job. She didn't get frustrated (at least at what I could tell), she kept our drinks refilled. She was great. The only issue was the made my wife's sandwich wrong, but that is not the servers fault. She corrected the problem and all was well. I can not say enough good things about this server. You have a good one with her, let me tell you.
The only bummer, pizza was not available for lunch.

“I guess the name says it. The esthetic is made to look older. We had a huge party of 20 and they did the best they could with us. Obviously, it was a wait for things but that was to be expected. Nate and Kelsey took good care of us. It was typical pub food, nothing unique, but filled us up.“

“Very good meal and extremely attentive service. We had the 2 for $32 Bourbon street chicken and shrimp. It had a good flavor and the chicken was very tender. The carafe of Tito's strawberry lemonade was tasty and was a good value. I enjoyed the tomato basil soup as well.“

“Our server was amazing!! Her name was Mildred and we were at the South Elgin location. She was so attentive to when our glasses needed to be refilled, when we finished something and she took the dishes away. One of the best servers I have had on a while when I went out to eat. She was always smiling too!! Food was good.“

“A gem in the heart of Elburn! Very good food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. They also have a nice outdoor patio. I had the reuben which was great and my son had their pork tenderloin. We both enjoyed the food and said we'd come back again if were in the area!“
