“Tonight I decided to venture out and try this restaurant my family has been RAVING about called Al’s Cafe in Downtown Elgin! I sat upstairs and had this lovely server named Marcie! She recommended the monthly special called “Moonstruck” and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The ambience, service and food is unmatched! If you are looking for a great night out I highly recommend Al’s Cafe!“

“Lots of potential here. Cozy with a large outdoor area including seating with fire pits. Wood is $15 if you want a fire. Clean restrooms and friendly service are found here along with newer but tight indoor seating area. Will go back as this was our first visit. Live guitar player/singer outside named Josh that sounded very good but froze his fingers off... Tap Room, give him some heat! Met friendly and fun people so looking forward to stopping in again. It's located right across from Klein's on Plank Road.“

“Absolutely love The Dutch as do all of my friends! Just a great neighborhood bar with amazing homemade food and great drink specials. The patio is perfect; they have live music almost every weekend. You just gotta check it out for yourself, there's a reason it's been around for decades and people keep coming back! Can't beat it!“

“I had the Beast double combo, added bacon , extra cheese and lettuce. I have to say, the burger was pretty good. I wish it had a little more sauce and mayo but it was really good. It's up there in price but you do get full. I would like if they had more advertising or anything to let you know it's a ghost menu. I drove around a few times because it was a pizza joint and couldn't see any signs of Mr beast burgers. I will be back but I hope Mr beast makes these adjustments.“

“A place that has the opportunity to grow legendary like the South Sides’ Mitchell’s. It’s quite good ice cream. The place has a charm but can’t really figure out it exterior options for optimal opportunities to improve flow and customer experience. The shop sure cranks people through at a decent clip. Impressively staffed on a very busy evening. An eclectic neighborhood crowd gives the atmosphere a unique vibe like it’s a big ice cream social and you’re invited.“

“I have come to this candy shop for the last 10 years. That should speak for itself. If it doesn't, I'll say more:I absolutely love chocolate malts. Any place I go that has them, I always order one. SweetSpot makes the most INCREDIBLE malt I have ever had anywhere, and not once in 10 years has it been less than amazing! I took a friend a few months ago, telling them that the malts are the best and she was skeptical. Had one sip and said it was "50/10."However, if you aren't into malts, there are many other things to love. They have the widest variety of candies I have ever seen at one shop, plus some types of candy that I haven't seen anywhere else in 15 years, not to mention soda in actual glass bottles! Good luck finding those in your local grocery store! It seems impossible to find a real *candy* store anymore, as opposed to a store with a candy section.If you're in the area, SweetSpot is a must-visit. I'm moving several hours away tomorrow, but you can be sure that any time I come back to visit, I'll be stopping here for a malt!“

“They are great here! I have been inside a handful of times, I have used the DriveThru a handful of times, and I am never disappointed. Everyone is friendly, the store is so clean, the service is quick. Daisy has helped me a few times and we end up chatting like we’ve been friends for years. Highly and easily recommend this location!“

“We celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday here last night. From the phone call to make the reservation to the service- this dining experience was like no other. I told the manager when we arrived that my mom had back surgery recently- I was only telling him in conversation about how we’re getting her out of the house and celebrating her big. He immediately asked if I wanted cushions for her seat❤️ Now on to Kiley- our waitress. She was absolutely amazing. She was so kind and personable to our family, and made our experience at Aliano’s for my mom’s birthday perfect. I did tell her this and the manager but would love for the owner to see this and commend Kiley for her amazing work. You don’t see many 21 year olds anymore that are hard working and kind and personable to others. Great job Kiley- and to Kiley’s parents for raising her up right:)“

“THE BEST BURGERS AND SWEET POTATO FRIES IN ILLINOIS PERIOD! PLEASE GIVE YOUR EMPLOYEES A RAISE, they are all very kind and helpful! Also the turtle sundae was very delicious. The establishment is very spacious and clean. I love visiting places where the employees are having fun while still providing excellent customer service. It almost felt like i was in the krusty krab with a lot of spongebobs and no squidwards. ??

UPDATE 8/10 this time i had the classic chicago hotdog and sweet potato fries! Unfortunately this time around the hot dog was not all that great, very bland and actual weiner didn’t have much flavor and the sweet potatoes were a bit burnt, but i think this is a minor mistake than can easily be fixed in the future! Can’t wait to be back!“

“What a great place with wonderful cocktails, a large and varied menu and a happy vibe. Christian, our server answered our many questions about the food and emboldened us to try selections we’d never had before! I loved the charbroiled skirt steak, ceviche, those pork appetizers I’ve never heard of, and my frozen strawberry margaritas. Others at the table had enchiladas, tamales, sangria and beer. Christian kept it all coming. He made sure to tell us about upcoming events such as taco Tuesdays and live music, including mariachi bands. Oh, sign me up! It also appeared to be family friendly. It’s a large space with plenty so we could have a conversation with our friends. The outdoor seating area looked nice, too, but we dined in the bar. A fantastic experience.“

It was as amazing as it has always been and exceeded my expectations with the fantastic service from April and the kindness of a sweet woman who had worked there for 50 years named Cynthia. They went above and beyond to make sure our night was one to never forget and all of the food was delicious. I highly recommend to everyone to come and enjoy this experience for yourself! “Even though we arrived 20 minutes passed our reservation time “snowing” the gentleman in the front desk was nice and took down our name. The place was amazing and the atmosphere was relaxing and soothing. Even though it was dinner rush hour in Valentine's Day the staff was really nice and professional when it came down to seating us and taking our order. We would definitely be back again.“
