“The owner is really friendly and he was talking to me about his town in Mexico which is Altamirano, Guerrero. Really good service and really good food. Highly recommended to try the chilaquiles and the menudo. The place was really clean and his food menu is not that big which is great because then you don't have a lot of food left over but highly recommend this place.“

There's only one huge problem... Huge... The name on the building is what they specialize in and not the actual name of the restaurant. The big bold signage says "taco Tequila" but their name is EL Pato LoCo. Attention Owners: eather consider changing the name on the building or changing the name of the restaurant. This is an amazing place to dine at. You're not doing yourself any favors by advertising the wrong verbage! “Very good hot dog; they really grill it until it is hot. A "Shroomer" made as a grilled chicken sandwich is good. The burger is good and I have ended up getting a kid's meal last time so that I can try to eat less meat. I am more of a light weight person anyway. The inside of the restaurant could be renovated. They are still in the real old Kooker's building with the same old tile floor that Kooker's restaurant had when I was in high school. It is over 20 years later now. I have been willing to go back to Happy Burger to get meals. The people at the front desk are nice. I do admit, though, sometimes I end up getting a burger for $3 at fast food drive-throughs. Happy Burger (HB) burger tastes more like a fresh made juicy burger when compared to the McDonald's on the other side of the street. HB fries are not bad but could be better because when the HB fries come up and go into a bag, I have found they were a bit wet.Wet fries is a common imperfection with Chicago-style grills.“

“We used La Huerta a couple of weeks ago to provide the food for a retirement party at our house. I went into the store to talk to them about my options and was thrilled with the catering gal, Josie! She gave me her cell number and asked me to text her with any questions I had ahead of the party. Great service! Not only does she know everything about the food they offer but she helped me with suggestions of how much to order, tips for covering tables safely because of the sternos, allowed us to borrow chafing trays and sternos for the day (free as long as we returned next day), delivery option and margarita machine you can borrow if you would like. They offer 3 sizes of tray options which is great to accommodate your size party. We ordered enough food that delivery was free and much to my surprise, that did include someone setting it up and lighting the sternos. They even included plastic serving utensils. We basically just needed to have the tables ready to go prior to their arrival. As for the food….. excellent! Big hit! We did have leftovers, but we packed it up and I think it may have been even tastier the second day! Something I would recommend that you may not consider is the fruit tray, beautifully cut fruit and very fresh. What we did order was three types of meat for tacos – shredded chicken, AlPastor and Asada, refried beans, rice, street corn, chips and of course, guacamole, pico and salsa. All fantastic – would definitely recommend!“
