Great vibes and prices (an actual meal deal for $5!). The owners actually work in-store, so putting a face to the business is easy, and it’s clear they’ve made an effort to tie the store to the local community.
This cafe is my favorite place in Evanston. It is also the best business in Evanston. They have the perfect tart original fro yo. Owners are great.

YoFresh Cafe is a cozy spot with comfortable seating, including recliners and lounge chairs, making it perfect for relaxing with a snack or studying. The menu features delicious options like deli tomato bisque and sandwiches, including gluten-free sandwich bread, as well as tasty chicken sandwiches like the chicken salad sandwich and the barbecue pulled chicken sandwich. The owners provide great customer service and offer reasonable prices. It's an ideal spot for families and friends to gather, with board games and plenty of seating, and a truly wonderful atmosphere. Plus, they always have at least two dairy-free frozen yogurt flavors available with lots of toppings. Jean and Larry, the owners, are some of the sweetest people ever, and their frozen yogurt is delicious. It's a SE Evanston community gem, like going to a family's or friend's place to chat and relax.
