“All I can say is WOW! This steakhouse was incredible! Cannot recommend enough. The meat paradise was truly an experience and a delicious one at that. Our server, Leo, was probably one of the best servers we’ve ever had anywhere with his charismatic personality and caring service. He truly made this restaurant a memorable time! Forget about Brazilian steak houses or what not, money was WAY better spent here! Photo is before the delicious steak was grilled to our liking in front of us.“

The seafood was fantastic and very fresh tasting, the beef was very flavorful and juicy, and the chicken was super crispy. Would love to go back to try the chili fusion shrimp and crab rangoon next time!“

“Very nice place, especially if you just want a really relaxing atmosphere, great vibes, super sweet and friendly and not to mention quick service with a smile. Sushi is fresh, Ramen is very delicious and flavorful. I can drink the broth by itself. But all and all, "It's a must go check out." ... This was family time!!!Parking: Yes, you still have to pay the parking meter on the weekends. I'm just telling you now. CPD is down the street...“

“First time trying Bonchon and wish there was one closer where I live! We tried the boneless wings in Korean BBQ and Garlic Soy. The coating was nice and crunchy and chicken very moist, high quality white meat. We ordered the kimchi coleslaw which was fabulous. Our waitstaff mentioned that we could get coleslaw for free with the wings as we were given a choice between coleslaw and pickled radish. We said we still wanted an order of the kimchi coleslaw and we'd select the pickled radish but were given regular coleslaw. Then we also shared the tteokbokki which was very nice with good heat to it, how I like it. Last was the potstickers which we all enjoyed and were nice and crispy. 4 stars because we didn't get the radish, and also they automatically add gratuity which I don't agree with.“

“I walked into this place without knowing what it was and all the way at the back corner this restaurant caught my eye, and I’m so glad I went there because I ordered the hibachi beef burger and you would’ve never thought they would put a fried egg in there it was so good every good burger should have an egg in it. She knew exactly what she was doing when she did that. FIRE ?“

“On this visit we were celebrating a birthday. Follow us on this joyous occasion!First of all, this location is in the Chinatown Square Plaza. If you have never been, this plaza is huge and celebrates the Chinese culture showcasing their food, arts, crafts, fashion, etc. It is an electrifying experience walking around!JoyYee Plus is located in the second floor of the plaza. It’s an awkward location, but we overlooked it because we were excited for the experience. The restaurant is neat and modern with modern seating and furniture and some Manga paintings on the walls that make it exciting to walk into. But that’s about it for ambiance. No music or staff interaction other than the waitstaff. The main reason for the visit was the Shabu Shabu offering and the choice meats available. The menu is large and with some incredible options covering all food groups and menu choices! I wanted to order one of each! ?We ordered Mango Crab Rangoons, Japanese Fried Calamari and Chicken and Pork Potstickers. They were fantastic! The Rangoons were so crispy and tasty! The calamari had a good blend of all pieces and done in a lightly battered finish which allowed more of the calamari flavor to show through than the oil trapped in the batter. The potstickers were good too.We also ordered Truffle Oil Egg Fried Rice with Bulgugi Ribeye and CrawfishFried Rice. Both were EXCELLENT! The Truffle oil ribeye Wes soft and buttery and very flavorful. The crawfish were plentiful and I asked for it made Spicy and was just right. For the Shabu Shabu we ordered Kurobuta Pork Belly, Premium Short Ribs, American Kobe Eye Kalbi, American Wagyu Chunk Ribeye and Australian Wagyu Beef. All were cut thin, meat was good quality and had good marbling and looked amazing! The broth was lightly spiced and complimented all the cuts perfectly. I wish the waitress would have told us more about the sauce station available ($2 per person) so that we would have experienced all the flavors with all the great cuts.Deserts were good but the person who made them took 20+ minutes to produce. The fresh Mango Sunday was really good. All in all, it was a great day. The food was great, but the place lacked the trained service to make it great. Will we be back? Definitely! Their food is worth the trip. But their service has to improve for it to be a great place.“

“We have gone her so many times. This place never disappoints us. The ladies are super nice. Food is served fast. They also pack the left overs for you. They also have vegetarian options. They have these super delicious almond cookies they give along with the fortune cookies.Thr decorations inside are unique and give a nice cozy look.Occasionally there are free music shows. One night there was Rod Stewart. We didn’t know about him, but we checked later. He is a celebrity of sorts.“

“I would highly recommend the bacos (bao tacos). They're a great way to taste multiple delectable treats. My favorite are the fried shrimp bacos and the pork bacos. I keep trying to get a picture, but I always finish my food before I get the chance “

“A neighborhood gem - we actually prefer dim sum here to at a Chinatown. Great food (expected) and friendly service (not always expected unfortunately at authentic Asian restaurants). We also appreciate upscale amenities that the restaurant provides. Little details do matter...“
“My aunt is very nice and easy to talk to. We bought pig ears, pork liver, pig head meat, chicken and pork belly when we went there at noon today. Everything was very delicious and tasted like home. These smoked sauces are delicious on their own, and are the best dish to go with drinks if mixed with garlic, vinegar and chili oil. Will visit again in the future!“

“[FOOD] Drunken Noodle - Taste was great but the noodles were way too soft to the point that it kinda just fell apart. Maybe the chef was just having a bad day. Green Curry - The beef was mid but the curry and their version of naan is bomb. [SERVICE] Standard. [PLACE] It's like a medium sized restaurant, not too big or too small. Located on a busy street mainly meant for students and the locals. [VERDICT] I would get the curry again and maybe try other noodles. I know it's a fusion place so I can't expect the best but I am satisfied enough to come back again. 4/5“

“Been here multiple times for the all you can eat sushi special and will definitely be coming back for more.I can only eat like two specialty rolls and some appetizers but find it still cheaper to do AYCE vs pay per each roll. If you can eat a lot more than it’s definitely worth it.They only offer the AYCE during lunch until 3pm and they don’t offer it on major holidays so it’s something to keep in mind if you’re coming here for that.Sushi is great and the staff is very nice and attentive. Check this place out because you won’t regret it!Also, I’ve gotten takeout multiple times and have never had a problem or issue with my order.“

“Beautifully decorated Thai restaurant with excellent martinis.Portion sizes are large. Had drunken noodles with beef and the duck. The duck was delicious but the flavor was a little different than expected last it didn't have crispy skin. Also tried a hot and dirty martini which was perfectly made. The green tea martini was interesting and very good as well.Service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant.“

“My cousin and I decided to check this place out. She had the tacos and I had a Gogi Bowl with spicy pork. Delicious. Atmosphere is very chill. And it’s in a great location near the University of Chicago. The service is fast. I would go again once I return to Chicago. Perfect balance of food.“

“This location was great to get Chinese food until the pandemic hit. The restaurant would be open 1 day and closed the next. Hours were always wrong, even if you looked online. I would call to see if they was open and they would answer only to say they are closed for the day. I remember my husband calling one day to see if they was open. Someone answered and explained they was closed but it was because they had no customers coming in. Not only that, they didn't have enough employees to keep the restaurant open all day. Sad thing to hear. Food most of the time was hot and tasted fresh. Yes, in the pandemic quality and quantity changed but it's to be expected. Too bad the location couldn't be saved but they have other locations in Downtown Chicago like in Chinatown. Otherwise, the other locations are in Roscoe Village or in the suburbs of Chicago further away from downtown.“

“the service is bad, the lady taking orders is rude. BUT..the food and portions are good. I would get the lunch specials bc they don't have dinner special and you will save like 10 or more dollars w the lunch special..but the portions are huge“

“Rented a room here for a friend's birthday. It was a nice size room. I think we did the medium. And there was room for 7 people nicely. They have you play the karaoke lyrics off of YouTube on a screen so you can't pretty much sing what you want. The service was nice and they brought us a fruit tray but the drinks were soooo slow. We all ordered a drink and didn't get them for 30 minutes. Which when you are on a time limit was kinda a bummer. But this was a cool place.“

“I LOVE takoyaki but it's almost impossible to find on the South Side. This was perfect. Soft and savory. The crispy chicken ramen was flavorful and plentiful. A quiet and serene environment. Our for was served quickly and it was piping hot! I would definitely recommend.“
