“Great food and drinks my favorite bar“

“Went here for the first time. I had the 1/2 lb Classic burger, medium rare, with Pepper Jack cheese and fries. My friend had the Al Pastor tacos. The burger was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Fries were wonderful. I normally can't eat a whole 1/2 lb burger. I couldn't stop eating this one. My friends Al Pastor tacos, on a flour tortilla, had a generous amount of meat, more than anywhere else we have been and it tastes fantastic, with just a hint of heat. Our Margaritas, made with Metzcal were delicious.“

“We needed a place to stay close to the Concord music hall, and found the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern. Every element of our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The menu at the inn was a purposefully short, curated list of bar food, and everything we tried was incredible. The tavern had a great neighborhood feel, and the room we stayed in was well-appointed, and just right for my wife and me. We met the owners within a few moments of arriving, and immediately felt welcomed. I highly recommend the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern to anyone looking for a hidden gem of a place to stay while visiting Chicago. We can't wait until we travel north again, because we know where we are staying! 5 stars! A++++“

“This is a really nice spot to hang out. It's quiet enough you can have a conversation and they have sports on the multiple TVs. When the weather is nice, they also have outdoor seating. The bar staff is friendly. They also have probably my favorite food in all of Avondale. I highly recommend the wings or the nachos, but everything I've had is very quality.“

“We went at Christmas time. They decorate the restaurant from the ceiling to the floor in lights. You can't help but get in the festive mood. We did make reservations and we came earlier and they still sat us. The staff was very friendly. I started with a cocktail called the Ramblers Rest. It was tasty. I could really taste the pomegranate notes. For appetizers we got the poutine. It is okay. For dinner I got the chef's wedge salad it was delicious. The homemade ranch dressing and the bacon bits totally made the salad. My hubby got their shepherd's pie. He said it was great. They have Coke products. They have a private area, and plenty of seating options. They have two fire places. I definitely want to go back during the summer. It looks like they have a large patio. Oh and they have a no stroller rule in the restaurant.

Kid-friendliness: No strollers allowed in the restaurant.“

“Great local find! The patio/beer garden is dog friendly with a fire pit, TVs and really nice comfortable seating, plus lawn games connect 4. There was a nicer wine selection than I was expecting for a local bar. The inside design was lovely.

New menu just started and fried chicken sandwich was so tasty!! Menu is small but everything we had was very good.

“Tumans is a great spot, nestled in the heart of the Ukrainian Village, at all times of day. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is top notch. Personally, I do not think there is a food establishment that the servers and bartenders seem like great friends, both with each other and with patrons. The atmosphere is heartwarming!The whole crew- Joe, Sarah, Michelle , Mario, etc, never cease to really care about those they serve. Sarah is so efficient, prompt, and gets every detail down to a science. She is the epitome of a great server and her passion for making everyone feel special does not go unnoticed. I used to live in Highland Indiana and I took public transportation which it was GPTC bus to Downtown Hammond, and pace bus from Downtown Hammond Indiana to Downtown Harvey Illinois, and pace 349 from Harvey Transportation Center to 111th and Western, and CTA Route #112 bus from 111th and Western to 111th and Kedzie. Well now since I finally move to Chicago Auburn Gresham with my fiancé, and now I live 15 minutes away. I take 79th Street bus from 79th and Ashland to 79th and Kedzie, and transfer to CTA Route #52A Southbound and go all way to 111th and Kedzie. I’m even more glad you guys reopened which I had no idea where you guys relocated at Thanks to my friend Tracy for telling me where it is. I went there with my fiancé Raymon. I’m so glad you guys are amazing, and the service was great too. I’ll be back. This place is even very affordable.“

“Mr. B and staff family are amazing and know the regulars. Food is GREAT quality and quantity worth the price. Through all the increases in life the prices stayed about the same. Joe's, is much needed in the community. Sometimes you have to wait because it's BUSY but, it worth the wait. You can call in and place your order. Remember to drop something in the tip jug, they work HARD from 7a-2p.

Parking: There is free street parking around the restaurant and across the street that doesn't belong to Joe's but people often park there.

Kid-friendliness: Kids are more than welcome and there regularly.

“The vibes were really great! The dj was awesome they played a great mix of music that night (Friday). Everybody was having a good time, people were dancing and enjoying themselves. I ordered the tenders dipped in a honey garlic sauce, the smoke burger, and key lime pie. Everything was good, the tenders were juicy and nice sizes, the meat on the burger was seasoned and had great flavor. The key lime pie though! It came with a cherry like reduction (sauce) with walnuts, I wasn't expecting it to taste that good. I ate the whole thing before I tried the food 🤷🏾‍♀️ I'll be back.“

“I have been coming to this location for about two years now; the service is excellent, and the music is good. It's a huge parking lot, and the food is incredible. I love the wings and the burgers. Guilty to say we stay there for hours. There is a pool table and, outside area... I love the people that work there always kind.“

“This bar is a very nice GEM that has a great decor. The beers are ice cold and the drinks very refreshing. Taco Tuesdays are very tasty and the catfish dinner is Awesome. This is a very friendly bar with colorful characters. Watch the game from any seat or select a song from touch tunes and dance your cares away. Try you luck on the gaming machines or just have a couple of drinks with your buds.

“Love this place - cozy neighborhood sports bar atmosphere with truly excellent food, a great rotating beer menu, and very reasonable prices. There are often games or music on, but never so loud that you can't have a conversation. All of the food we've tried has been delicious! Never once had a bad dish or experience! We stopped in on a whim for lunch and quickly became regulars after tasting the burgers, rustic potato salad, and brussel sprouts. There are different daily food specials and a surprising list of high-end options (e.g. Wagyu beef burgers, lamb dip, Mediterranean mushroom sandwich) for such a casual setting. The staff is great, the chef is on point, the beers are frosty, and the meatloaf dinner on Thursday is worth a special visit. If you're looking for a relaxed place to have a great meal, a cold drink, and a conversation, I can't recommend the Old School Tavern enough.
