“Mario C is THE BEST waiter! Gave great suggestions that were spot on for Prosecco...2 different bottles and each was a perfect companion to our lunches. Also, good beer selection and cocktail. We had artichoke and sunchoke and meatball for shared appetizers, followed by each of us with a different pasta: caico buccatini, bolognese, gnocchi and spaghetti and one stuffed cabbage...all delicious! For dessert...chocolate sorbet, coconut cookie, almond Gelato and expresso martini.A delightful afternoon...not rushed...great food and beverages!Ask to be seated in Mario C's station!”

There is an immense focus on how the fish is prepared and where it is sourced vs loading it with toppings to elevate the quality which is common among other omakase restaurants in the city. Jorge our chef was extremely knowledgeable and friendly making the experience interactive and intimate. The ambience is amazing with a staggered service and only two rounds of service a night, so it’s never too loud and a great spot to bring a significant other. Could not say enough amazing things about Kyoten Next Door, will absolutely be coming back, worth every penny.”

Good quality was very high due to ingredients and preparation. Though we forgot to get a reservation, they were able to seat us in about 30 minutes. “Start by saying this place was SO GOOD! Our table had 3 different pasta dishes where each dish was perfect in their own way, perfectly pillowy gnocchi and al dente pasta with nice chew. The table favorite was the spaghetti with caviar. The fried calamari was also well cooked, not rubbery at all. The space was busy but not too loud and the service was attentive but not overbearing. The pasta was served in adorable china which insulated the heat so well that the pasta stayed hot through the entire meal. The restaurant also provided complimentary appetizers including, pizza & garlic bread, salami, and pickled vegetables.Our server was very attentive and all of our dishes came out quickly.
