“Who doesn’t love an Irish pub? This is our favorite local place! Great food and the best Friday fish fry in northeastern Illinois. Best Brandy Old Fashioned I’ve ever had.“

“I want to begin by saying that we love this place. BUT, the service and food were just horrible. My husband's wings were good but my nachos were terrible. The lack of beef was covered up with lettuce and triple helping of sour cream. I left hungry. We usually stay for more than 1 drink, but I had to get out of there due to a very miserable child screaming for its mother to pay attention to her. Just an overall unpleasant experience.“

“Went for broasted chicken and it was terrific. Light crispy crust and delicious moist meat inside. The chips are house made, light and tasty. I had their house made soup -yum! The kitchen knows its stuff! Basically a bar with some tables but also some outdoor seating and big windows so it feels open. Really happy we came here! I decided to go back to eat a few days later with my family all the food was great and we are quite picky!! This will definitely be one of our new go tos whether it be for lunch/dinner or just a quick beer. Very happy we tried it out!

“We ate at the BratHaus on Tuesday for lunch. The food and service was excellent and the owner, Jerry, was kind enough to listen to stories of my childhood, working in the hardware store that my great grandfather started back in the early 1900s. Was lucky enough to work for my grandpa there while in middle school. Great to see some of the original things that have been kept. We will be back next time we visit.“

We also really enjoyed the conversations with the bartenders — friendly, welcoming, and genuinely engaging. I mentioned that I appreciated the TVs being on the same channel, because when multiple screens are on different channels, the flickering lights can be overwhelming for me. I’m disabled and live with Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD) and CPTSD, along with chronic migraines. The sunglasses I wear help reduce light sensitivity from LEDs and neon lighting, and the staff was kind, open, and understanding when I explained this. It meant a lot to be treated with respect and curiosity rather than judgment. The bartender was friendly, approachable, and handled the conversation with warmth and professionalism. Great atmosphere, great people, and a place that makes you feel welcome. We’ll definitely be back.“
