“The Roadhouse Lodge is a beautiful & peaceful accommodation with views of Twin Lakes. There is an excellent coffee shop with gourmet coffee. I absolutely loved the Caffe Mocha and the delicious ice cream . The owners were very accommodating, friendly and help me with arranging my Amazing week at the Roadhouse with arranging my scenic boat trip & Leadville historical train tour , hike to Elbert Mountain which is the highest peak in Colorado .The owners also were able to arrange a kayak so we had a delightful afternoon on the lake and caught fresh trout for several nights. We also spent a day at Mount Princeton relaxing at the hot springs.We also had a delicious dinner at the Twin Lakes Inn.“

“The Wife and I came in for a great experience today. We had the fried cheese curds to start, I had the fried perch and she had a pulled pork BBQ sandwich. Both of us enjoyed the great food. Heather was super delightful as a waitress and even took the time to fill us in on some of the incredible history of the building and area.“
“I stopped in today by chance, I was hungry and have passed this place several times over the years. This place was amazing. I had a cheeseburger which was delicious. My girlfriend had the Nashville chicken Flatbread which was also delicious. We also had the wonton cheese sticks, they were awesome. Our waitress Makayla was great, very friendly and had great knowledge of the menu items. The bar tender Emily also greeted us and asked how the drinks were. Great place, very clean and welcoming. “Damn. Just Damn. My wife and I are both chicken wings fans. And hands down, these are some of the best wings I've ever had. Perfect seasoning, healthy chicken, and so much more affordable than the big chains. They are so good I had to order 3 dozen to go. My only complaint is that I don't live closer.I have one warning, if you come by to try these wings, you'll want to order a bucket of them to go.I apologize about the picture. “Bassett Creek Saloon is a hidden gem! The service is phenomenal and so was the atmosphere! Everyone from the staff to the patrons were incredibly nice and gave several recommendations of what to try.We started off with fried portobello mushroom slices which were amazing. For our meal, we had smoked pulled pork sandwiches with a side of potato salad, and a side of the smoked chicken pasta salad. Everything is homemade down to the bbq sauce, and was super delicious. The sandwiches were extremely generous, and the meat melted in your mouth like butter on a stack of flapjacks. The smoked chicken pasta salad was super flavorful, and had the perfect blend of smoky, creamy, and seasonings, and no shortage of smoked chicken. The potato salad was rich and creamy and one of the best I've had in a while. One of the patrons asked which we liked more between the potato salad and the smoked chicken pasta salad and we couldn't decide because both were phenomenal. As someone who normally passes on coleslaw I can honestly say I ate it all and almost ordered a second cup. Even the pickle was crunchy down to the last bite.There wasn't a bad bite in the entire meal. We definitely will be coming back next time on a Saturday for their ribs and to see a duck race! Couldn't be happier to have found this spot!!! Amazing food and amazing service at an extremely fair price, what more could you ask for?“

“The best fish fry I have ever had! This is a local bar and restaurant, nothing fancy, but it doesn’t need to be. The staff/owner were very friendly. We ate the perch and the blue gill and I can’t say enough about either of them! They were fantastic! Worth the drive if you live a ways away! They were very busy so don’t be surprised if there is a wait.“
“I’ve been taking our young family here for several years and it’s well worth the 35 minute drive north to get there. I love the Philly cheesesteak brat. Wife gets the shroomwurst and kids get kid menu items which they love. Tonight I had the Seasonal St Paddy’s day Reubenwurst. Their pretzel buns are delicious and we have never been disappointed with anything we’ve ordered.“

“Went in there on a Thursday maybe around 2 with a buddy to grab a late lunch got two burger w/fries and 3 beers was not expecting one of the best burgers I ever tasted to come from here I'm guessing they get the beef fresh from a farmer down the road but idk it was superb one of those burgers u eat and think about for the next few days nothing special on it nothing fancy just your basic burger toppings the atmosphere is okay not the friendliest customers but they are just probably sick of people coming in from out of town and disrespecting there hang out spot it was rite after memorial day so I don't blame em the service was very good food arrived not long after ordering and everything was super fresh the lady behind the counter was a sweetheart very nice professional and friendly they have a cool smoking area in the back video poker and a electronic juke box I didn't stay long because I was on work break but wish I could. “I've been here a few times now since the change from Touch of Class and am always pleasantly surprised at the quality. The food is great, and usually exactly what I'm wanting. The chef has dropped by my table a few times after we've eaten just to make sure everything was good and what we were wanting. The service is always rather quick and polite too! The overall ambience seems to still be developing as time goes on but nothing bad. A great "burger" joint (with far more selections) that hopefully continues into the future.“
“A group from work all enjoyed their lunch meal choices from burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads. As for the 'atmosphere', it was the noise level (wall mounted electric fans and music) that made holding a conversation across the table of six difficult. I still enjoyed the table views of the lake and its ample breezes through the screened windows. I look forward to future meal experiences at the Sand Bar.“
