“An absolute hidden gem. Great selection and atmosphere, but most of all, the people there are fantastic. The owner, Dave, is one of the nicest humans you will ever meet. It is the kind of place that makes you feel like a regular the first time you visit. Not in some corporate scripted way, just genuinely friendly but never overbearing.“

“We went out for the Friday fish fry.
The fish was great, large lightly breaded.
The fish was not heavily seasoned but it went well with the tartar sauce.
There wasn't much fries and because they were under the fish the fries got soggy.“

“Had an amazing birthday party in the upstairs room. We had the taco buffet and it was delicious! Service was excellent and everything looked beautiful. They let us come in early to decorate and we were able to play our own music. I would recommend highly for a special occasion!“

“Tiny little Bar and grill. I've been going there for 20 years then one of the customers I have never seen before give me a hard time. It was the small disagreement over condo assessments then the owner decided to bar me. The wonderful bartenders he had let go and the place totally lost its appeal. The owner wouldn't even let me go in to get food to go. Ridiculous. But they did me a huge favor since it went downhill it's not even worth going in there anymore.“

“While traveling to Chicago, I had an opportunity to visit Rookies Sports Bar & Grill. The service was very good and my waiter was very helpful with picking out some great dishes for us to try. From the fish to the ribs and salad. I have no complaints as everything was good. Cooked to perfection and the overall cost was reasonable. I look forward to another visit.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a great experience at Docks Bar & Grill. The service was excellent, the food was good, and everything came out fast. We also really enjoyed the conversations with the bartenders — friendly, welcoming, and genuinely engaging. I mentioned that I appreciated the TVs being on the same channel, because when multiple screens are on different channels, the flickering lights can be overwhelming for me. I’m disabled and live with Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD) and CPTSD, along with chronic migraines. The sunglasses I wear help reduce light sensitivity from LEDs and neon lighting, and the staff was kind, open, and understanding when I explained this. It meant a lot to be treated with respect and curiosity rather than judgment. The bartender was friendly, approachable, and handled the conversation with warmth and professionalism. Great atmosphere, great people, and a place that makes you feel welcome. We’ll definitely be back.“

“Broken Oar is always a great time, especially on a summer Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere is lively, the crowd is fun, and the staff is consistently friendly and attentive.
We came by boat just to grab a few drinks and appetizers. Everything was good, but the churro fries were the standout of the day—absolutely worth ordering and highly recommended.
My only complaint is the docking situation. Getting from the docks to the restaurant requires walking through muddy, sandy terrain, which isn't ideal. More importantly, the docks sit very high above the water, and the exposed metal underneath ended up scratching our boat. If you have a typical recreational boat, I'd honestly think twice about arriving by water, as there's a real risk of cosmetic damage.
Despite that, the food, drinks, service, and overall atmosphere keep us coming back. We'll definitely be back—just probably by car next time.“

“Benjamin Parada and I ate dinner at Wings Etc. tonight! We pulled up to the building and called the number listed clearly on the signs, with an employee's assistance our "take out" order was placed! Ben and I talked in the car just as we would have when we were inside the restaurant. However, sitting in the car and wearing a mask felt so much safer than being in the restaurant! Our food was out to our car very quickly. Wonderful delicious and amazing are words to describe the good wings! Date nights look so different with Covid but this was a super safe and fun date night!“

“Went to Chick and Pig for our first dinner last night. The atmosphere reminded me of one of our favorite BBQ restaurants in another state. You can order your selections online, at the counter or at the bar. The menu has a wide variety of BBQ meats and side dishes. We ordered the smoked pulled chicken, loaded fries and mac and cheese. All were outstanding. Incredibly flavorful, excellent portion sizes and prices that are the best in the area. The self service style is a plus for our dining experience. I enjoy spending my money on the food and drinks versus supplementing underpaid servers at full service restaurants.“
