“I had stopped in here before to get an iced coffee and it did not disappoint , this time I went back for something new :Iced Coconut matcha latte! So delicious ! For someone who loves matcha, this has to be one of my favorites in the city!Loved the compliment too!“
“This is the CUTEST cafe. The coffee was excellent and the food was delicious (I had the garden bagel, and WOW). It was pumping when I was there and the food/coffee still came out really quickly. I think everything was really reasonably priced considering how high-quality the ingredients are. The staff were so sweet and welcoming. I had an opportunity to talk to the owners and they were just as lovely. Can't recommend this place enough - I will be back!Dietary restrictions: I'm vegetarian and the garden bagel was SO good and super filling.“
“Exceptionally tasty baked goods!Parking: There are enough spots for those who choose to dine in and they have a drive-thru who want to pick up and leave.Kid-friendliness: A mom and her 15-month old were.just hanging out so that mom could have her lunch. Both mom and baby had lots of room to sit comfortably and the big windows allowed provided kept the baby occupied.“
“We've eaten there 3 or 4 times now, each time delicious food and very nice service. We were able to sit and chat without worrying about taking up table for too long. When offered a coffee refill we were leaving and I asked if I could have refill in a to-go cup, request received with a smile. Looking forward to our next visit!“
“Everything we ordered was amazing! We want to come back tomorrow!! Delicious, creative, fresh generous portions, and great service in a fun, artful, sun filled/inspired interior. A lot of the family seems to work here, the magical realist paintings are a family member too.“
“It is very cozy there!I love the coffee and cinnamon roll.To add that Cozy cafe also hosts performances. I have not been at one yet, but it looks like it will be my next spot for an outing in the neighborhood. And Ricky is very welcoming. Thanks again, and see you soon!“
“Pomeroy is a cozy spot for French food lovers, but it’s on the pricey side. I visited with a friend; she ordered a salad with beef, and I had a salad and two glasses of wine. She had one glass. In the end, we each paid $80. It’s a bit surprising how fast the cost adds up. So, while the food and place are nice, be prepared for the price.“
“We stopped in one afternoon to Harmony Coffee Bar. You know what harmony is ? A combination of things or parts that forms a connected and unified whole. That just about sums up our visit to this adorable cafe. I ordered the Gold Crush Latte which is topped with Dalgona which melted into the latte giving it a slightly sweet and mellow flavor. My companion ordered an iced Gold Crush Latte so they could enjoy the Dalgona as it slowly released its sugary cookie flavor into the coffee beverage. As we savored our drinks in the pleasant and cozy seating, they prepared our Croffle, a combination of croissant and waffle, and it was crispy and buttery and caramelly. All in all, a harmonious mix of flavors and textures that added up to a very pleasant midday interlude.“
“Amazing place. ‘The best hot dog I’ve ever had’ a 10 year old Skokie resident. The food was amazing, we tried the strawberry lemonade, and the summer roast beef. The staff was beyond friendly, and so kind. Will definitely be back. Can’t wait for the full menu. Would 100% recommend Can’t wait to have lunch again this week“
“So sorry the pic tells it all.. the food was amazing ? nothing left and forgot to take a pic because when the food came out we didn’t stop eating lol ? the coffee and service was on point. Our waiter Julian paid attention to us and our creamer “
“OMG the hot chocolate is to die for! Like drinking a melted candy bar and served with milk and whipped cream. Just like I've had many times in Switzerland and France. Spot on! And the Pain Au Chocolat was amazing and they warmed it up for us. Lots of seating. Definitely a go-to spot from now on!“
“Perfect place to run into all kinds of people! For example people from high school who you forgot about but now feel the need to impress, bikers who don’t know how to share the road and wear obnoxious neon, and weird hipsters who are really thrilled to tell anyone who will listen that they’re having coffee in a converted firehouse. Coffee is excellent and decorations remind me of being at a sleepover in grade 4 at my slightly too secular friend’s house.“
“This is the best coffee shop in town. Every single employee here is friendly and amazing. The coffee is so good! I frequent this place as much as I can afford and each cup is worth every penny. I love that I can also buy jugs of cold brew and k-cups to enjoy my favorite blend at home. Amazing experience all around.“
“A perfect environment for student entrepreneurs or just to have a coffee with a very friendly team, I visit many coffee shops around Chicago, and I can assure you that the coffee is of high quality.A negative point that is now in the past is the arrangement of the food, there was often no food on the display, and I kept dreaming of something delicious to go with the coffee, and I had no choice. After two visits, the food problem was already in the past.Normally I visit the place 3 times before posting my experience with the place, but I can guarantee that the place is ready for all types of public.“
“I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I live close by so it's a good place to stop by and get lunch or early dinner. The owner is super nice whenever I stop by and he makes all of the food by order so it's always fresh! My go to is the chicken tostini, but I've had about all of the tostinis and tried the menemen. I can't say anything about the authenticity, but the taste is definitely there :)“
“Definitely a place to people watch as much as just get a coffee. It has a big, open, bright interior. Some table seating and some more lounge-like. Always seems busy but the turnover is pretty fast so I’ve always been able to get a good place to sit. I appreciate that it’s not Starbucks.Parking: If you can grab a street parking spot in front count yourself lucky. It’s hit or miss. Worst case is you have to park a block away.“
“OMG the crepes here are fantastic! The strawberry Nutella crepe was not extremely sweet as it is usually prepared in most restaurants, it was just the perfect balance. Coffee was very very good, and my son loved the hot chocolate (he's not too picky though).I came here just to get a croissant and it was a shame that they didn't have any. However, I was so happy we tried the crepes.“
“We moved to EP recently and we’re so happy to find a non-chain coffee place. It was a huge bonus that they have GF options that are really good! Muffins and breakfast sandwiches especially the Express train are delicious. The ambiance is cool and chill. The service is great. Would love to see them get a better oat milk cream.“
“Beautiful coffee shop with a good number of tables to hunker down and get work done. Special shoutout to their pour overs! I’ve always been skeptical of coffee tasting notes but I tried the Ethiopian udeyi and I kid you not, it actually tastes like watermelon. Awesome experience!“
“Modern and clean with a Holiday theme of Home Alone(!) - plus the food was very good. Had one of the breakfast sandwiches, all ingredients tasted carefully prepared and selected, and the service was wonderful. They get bonus points for leaning into the Home Alone heritage of the city. Would definitely return.“
“We love this place! Food is great, service is great and it’s always clean. The reason why I did not give them 5 starts is because they do not have a baby changing station!I already told them, but seems like there is no interest about it. We have a baby and it’s a bummer having to cross the street to change his dirty diaper at Starbucks.“
“I really wanted to love-love this place. Cool art deco meets art nouveau atmosphere. Smilish novelties for sale. Good enough chai and menu offerings. But man, a simple “hi” attitude and a some background music would go a long way in this joint. After all, today is the greatest…. (P.S. awesome Chop Suey sign!!)“
“The date cardamom latte, I asked for oat milk, was redolent of spice, with a cute heart in the foam. The croissant was soft, rather than flaky, but I'm not complaining because there wasn't a crumb left to be had. Solid offerings, friendly staff, efficient service.“
“The bright and spacious dining area exceeds the typical cafe experience. The food selections are numerous. The coffee is of robust quality and not watered down. We had the Salmon Toast and the Waffle combo.Later, we had the Turkey Club and Strawberry French Toast ?Many choices of cheeses and meat/meatless sides. All were mouthwatering delicious and presented appetizingly. The service all around was A++.Like I said, this place is much more than the typical cafe.It was also nice that every table has a fresh carafe of water.?We're looking forward to returning many more times. The food was so yummy ?“
“I like it...The service is good very, the team is inviting. The ambiance is quirky, rustic, and whimsical. The menu is creative. The dessert options are so good. I had a carrot cake and I had was excellent. The focaccia pizza was flavorful ... the doey but decent ... Breakfast sandwich was awesome.“
“I don't get why more people don't frequent this cute and underestimated coffee shop in the heart of Hubbard woods ! The coffees are delicious. I love the chai latte, and the prices are reasonable, for the coffee is as well as the baked goods.. staff is kind and helpful“
“Really the one and BEST card store in evanston, after moving to a newer and bigger location its bigger and better than ever! Pokemon, magic the gathering, lorcana, and many board games here + all your needs for cards and regular single cards. Their snacks and drinks are always stocked and the food they make is spectacular. Great place to stop by, sit down, and play your favorite games with friends. They also have a discord server with news and many friendly people inside! Many tournaments for pokemon and magic happen. As im writing this im in a tournament right now for pokemon! Stop by and support this local card shop.“
“Put this on your list of places to check out when you need to be nourished body and soul. This whole place feels like a warm, familiar hug. The vibes are welcoming and super chill. There's a counter with a few stools, some tables and chairs, or a couch and chairs to relax on. Got a hazelnut latter, which was amazing - not bitter, not overly sweet. I devoured the kale/sweet potato/quinoa bowl and freaking loved it. My partner enjoyed a breakfast burrito, which came with a side of fruit. Great service and ambiance. Will def stop by next time I'm in the area!.“
“My campus organization got our Formal catered by Coralie and were incredibly pleased! The service we received was phenomenal, as the owner (Pascal) was very communicative and flexible when we needed to change plans. He spoke with me to coordinate the order and even provided delivery. The food was beyond delicious and everyone at the event took the extra servings home! We ordered the tomato, lorraine, smoked salmon, and ratatouille quiches, as well as the flan, napoleon, and lemon meringue. They were all delicious and Coralie provided them presliced for us, which made the event go even smoother. Coralie is well worth the price and a lovely local business!“
“Absolutely love everything about this spot. The staff is awesome, the food is incredible and the beverages and drinks are great. They even serve alcohol. Their soups & chili, hot sandwiches and pastries are exceptional. The source organic chicken and fresh eggs from from Harrisons; bagels from Kauffman, different dairy and butter from Wagner Farm, pastries from Bennistons and etc. Truly a cool spot to read a book, work on your laptop or just sit with a friend and chat. They get into themed items for holidays and go out to decorate. Also have coordinated events too. Kathy the owner truly knows how to run a great establishment. Very kid friendly and excellent prides for the value of what you get. Plenty of parking and a block from the library, train station and a park. My only grip is that the bathroom need a little more attention. They also have a reward system too eirh gracious cash back and a drive thru. Also have gluten free option. Great variety of fresh items. Truly a gem to have in Glenview.“
“Needed a quick cafe for lunch and some work and this place was perfect. Good food with health and unique options. Quick service of a cafe with super helpful staff. French fries were a great add on super cheap, salad was perfect with homemade ranch that was awesome. The wifi was strong and calm and quiet atmosphere. Everything I needed today!“
“TL;DR 5/5: This is how a café should be.Food 5/5: Spring Pea was the soup of the day on each of 2024 March 20 and 21. White cream decorated the vibrant, green soup as a barista would an artful latte and the colors enhanced a rich and textured soup which included strips of Genoa salami. The Rosemary Ham & Cheddar Savory Crepe, accompanied by a vinaigrette-topped salad, added further taste and temperature -- heavy and warm from the savory crepe, light and chilled from the salad -- to the meal. Next, while the Classic Bennie (Canadian bacon, poached eggs, with house salad) was also filling, the Denver Omelet (bell peppers, onion, rosemary ham, cheddar, and substituting chips for house salad) beat all of the above with not only its sunny eggs and bright red bell peppers but also its delicate flavor. And to drink, a hot, Honey Lavender Latte ("heavenly" was how I described it to a server who asked how everything was), proved to be popular for good reason.Service 5/5: Dining in was quasi counter-based, where one orders and pays at the counter, receives utensils and a number to set at their table, and has their meal brought to them and finished dishes cleared away by a server who may ask how the diner's meal was. Or at least that's how it went with me, with never a lag or rush. Great job.Atmosphere 5/5: Side street parking by this café was available. Inside it was fairly busy but not packed. And the interior was bright and airy, clean and comfortable, with tables and chairs thankfully not giving even a hint of violent wobbling, unlike those of some other eateries.“
“Location is in a box gas station, but the prices aren’t gas station food prices for sure. Food was alright, bread for my sandwich was stale.Vegetarian options: Available if you need vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Kosher / dairy.Parking: It’s a gas station. Space is limited.“
“The interior and vibe is amazing. Ladies who took my order were very nice and friendly . They even gave me to try their sample teas, so that I can decide if I want sweet one or not. Their earl grey milk tea is yummy , best if you try it without sugar.“
“Cute cafe on the main street in Evanston. Nice selection of salads, soups and sandwiches. The reuben was delicious. Stuffed with meat on toasted marbled rye. The adjoining bakery sells a beautiful selection of baked goods and desserts as well. Service was friendly and our food arrived quickly. Definitely recommend stopping in for a quick bite in between shopping.“
“Coffee Cup Therapy ☕️In the morning. Just did a review on Atmosfy ! Charmers is the perfect spot if you're a fan of a rich, dark roast like Starbucks, although personally, it's not my cup of tea. However, if you're like me and prefer a lighter roast, their coffee will definitely hit the spot, especially when paired with one of their delicious homemade cinnamon rolls. The atmosphere inside is incredibly cozy, making it a wonderful choice for a first date. They have a beautiful outdoor patio that can accommodate small and large groups. Charmers truly lives up to its name and is definitely a charming place to visit. Note: Pet friendly Friendly Staff“
“I have now visited this place a few times. I was here when they first opened and they needed to work out the kinks. I visited again when their pastries seemed to only come out of the refrigerated shelves and now they have a case with pastries. The two women working were nice when I arrived both greeting me separately when I walked in. One worked solely on drive thru orders and didn't help out the main counter if there was no one in the drive thru. The other working the main counter took her time making my drink of choice: hot mocha with oatmilk and an extra pump of chocolate (not a coffee drinker here). She filled my mug to the brim with artistic yumminess. It's a fairly open concept inside with two Jeni's ice cream coolers along one wall and a refrigerated cooler with juice cold brew canned coffees, bagels, fruit and other items. There's plenty of seating and plenty of space so you aren't on top of others. They have bistro tables, high chairs with a counter along two windows, low tables for 2/4/6 people for privacy to collaboration, and they have comfortable chairs and couches with coffee tables. It's a great place to start your day, conduct business, meet up with family and friends or to just kick back with a nice cup of Joe and a decent nosh.“
“I love coming to this neighborhood cafe for breakfast and lunch. The soup is delicious. I loved the chicken salad sandwich and salad was simple but tasty.. The cafe is cozy with a fire and the outdoor space is the best in the NorthShore with quiet views and room for the kids to play.“
“This place is amazing not only the food like my favorites chocolate chip cookies or thelemon poppyseed scone but also the staff is so kind and friendly that I wish I lived closer so I can come here everyday. My favorite coffee shop for sure!“
“Very inviting place, food is amazing, clean lavatory, a bit pricey but worth it for the quality you receive. Super authentic and place seems to be ran by husband and wife. Place is huge so you won't have to worry about waiting to be seated. Everyone here has a smile, staff is super friendly. If you're looking for great Filipino food, this is your place.“
“Green Bay Cafe is the crown jewel of Winnetka! You feel comfortable as soon as you walk in--not only is it adorably cozy inside, but the staff are very friendly and attentive. The breakfast skillets are so delicious! The food has a homemade feel but is well worth the price and better than any breakfast I could make at home. I highly, highly recommend Green Bay Cafe!“
“Its my go-to after hrs place in the ‘burbs with my teen. We are mainly go for appetizers and desserts - all vegetarian options are good, ouzo is alright and the coffee with ice cream is my kids favorite. The vibe is family friendly, calming, low-key, and the ‘price is right’. Thank goodness we found this Gem!!!“
“The food is so fresh, I used to get it delivered and finally went in person and learned it's all made fresh to order. The place is owned by a lovely couple who were so sweet! Everything we order is always delicious! The owners had us try the cookies this visit and they were a huge hit!“
“Wonderful location with outdoor seats overlooking the garden. There's an outdoor grill for burgers and a selection of more traditional food inside. A bit pricey but I'm happy to support the garden. I love to go there whenever I'm in the area and pleased that they have food service. Great bakery items!“
