“The American Airlines Flagship Lounge at Chicago O’Hare is a good improvement and overall a positive experience. The shower facilities were a particularly pleasant upgrade and very much appreciated before a long-haul flight. That said, the lounge is already showing some wear for its age and could use a little attention in a few areas. It was also generally very packed during my visit, which takes away somewhat from the premium lounge experience. Overall, though, a solid lounge with good amenities, and the improved shower facilities were definitely a highlight.“

“Just had lunch with my neighbor Jorge and as usual was NOT disappointed! Chris was her usual friendly self. She’s always on the ball about pleasing people and sending them home happy and full. Rose was the waitress everyone dreams of. Patient and funny all in the same breath. If you haven’t been to LaVilla I highly recommend a visit. You will want to return again and again! “I attended a party in the party room. There was a cash bar in the room and the attendants were really nice. The room was a very nice size. They allow you to decorate. There are about 10 round tables and chairs provided as well. In addition, you can also bring your own food. Even with the table and chairs, there was space for the dessert table, DJ booth as well as a balloon arch with backdrop for photos. Oh, one final thing, the room has its own entrance from the parking lot and two bathrooms for your party guests.“

“Came here as stop on our crab Rangoon crawl! Came at 5 pm on a Saturday night with a group of 10 and no reservation and the service WAS INCREDIBLE! Thought they would laugh us out the door but they immediately jumped into action and were able to configure a small seating section in the cocktail bar side for us so we could have our group huddled together between the bar and chairs. “Our family spent the weekend at the Lincolnshire Marriott to celebrate our parent's 65th wedding anniversary. We were welcomed and felt like royalty. My parents had phoned the Marriott prior to our stay and spoke with Brad, a manager. We were over-the-top surprised with the friendly greeting upon arrival, staff congratulating our parents, rooms close together and accessible for my parents from the lobby, pool and restaurant areas. The weekend was perfect. The hotel is busy, had several weddings in progress, but all patrons were taken care of as if they weren't busy. The front desk staff is so patient and friendly. The servers and cooks at the Three Embers (ate there for breakfast only) were top-notch. There is a beautiful outdoor seating area in the evening with fire tables and patio lighting. Brad, the manager, was accommodating and made sure our stay was perfect. It was the perfect choice for our little family celebration. Thanks to all at the Marriott Lincolnshire.“

I practically sprinted past those overpriced Auntie Anne's pretzels to get to this buffet. And the best part? It's all free. (Well, technically included in the membership fee, but let's not get bogged down in details.)

Then there's the drinks. Forget those mini bottles of questionable wine. The Admirals Club boasts a full bar with top-shelf liquor, craft beers, and even a decent selection of wines. And the bartenders? They're like mixology magicians, whipping up cocktails that would make James Bond proud. I may or may not have had one too many "Mile High Margaritas" before my last flight.

But the real MVPs are the staff. They're like a team of hospitality ninjas, anticipating your every need before you even realize you have one. Need a charger for your phone? They've got you covered. “Got my traditional pre-flight drink here on Monday. It was ~$14. There's limited seating at the bar itself. Not sure if you can take the drinks to the surrounding tables, though I assume you can. The bartender allowed me to bring food from the bakery and eat it at the bar. While I was gone he put a napkin over my drink. I love that! It's a little reminder to others that I'll be back and not to mess with my drink! Great place run by great people!“

“Bluefin in Park Ridge has become my go-to for business lunches, and I keep coming back for good reason. This is the best sushi I have found outside the Loop, and I have covered a lot of ground. The fish is consistently fresh and the rolls are executed at a level that most city spots would be proud of -- not the watered-down suburban version of the cuisine, the real thing.

The atmosphere is what makes it work for a lunch meeting. The music is cool without being intrusive, the space has energy without feeling chaotic, and the staff is sharp and attentive every time I walk in. I can actually have a conversation, close a deal, and enjoy the food. That combination is rarer than it should be.

If you are northwest of the city and want serious sushi in a room that feels genuinely alive, this is the answer. Five stars, no hesitation.“

“The restaurant was great, excellent food and service. It's part of the Hilton Hotel and the parking is self service, but there is a fee for the lot. However, the restaurant does validate so there's no fee to park when dining there.“
