“I order from this place specifically despite having several Chinese restaurants that are closer. The fried rice is the best I've had. The orange, bourbon, and general tsos chicken are all really good. They also work with people to make specialized orders. For example I am allergic to wheat and can't eat the breaded chicken. They make mine without the breading so that I can order the things I really want. I highly recommend.“

“This little hole in the wall doesn't look like much, but it's easily the best Chinese restaurant for miles around! Everything was delicious, and the portions were incredibly generous! As someone who's had a lot of bad crab rangoon, I was delighted that they were crispy and well stuffed. Their lo mein is also top notch! We'll definitely be coming back again.“

“Good place to get some good Chinese food. St Paul sandwiches are good. Fried rice is always fresh. Quick service and always correct. The only issue is that I can't purchase Vess sodas via their online app (unless I'm overlooking it). 😋“

“Hong Kong House - How Happy I am to have you opened again! The ONLY Chinese Restaurant in the Alton area that serves REAL Chinese Veggies in their meals - NOT frozen peas, carrots, & corn. I ordered the Veggie Fried Rice - served with thinly sliced carrots, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, baby corn, and bamboo shoots just to name a few. We also had Hunan Chicken Combo Plate with Fried Rice and Crab Rangoon - Yummy. Again lots or real fresh veggies without being over loaded with huge chunks of onion. Love Love Love the food here“

“China King is my favorite Chinese food in this area. Especially if you are a crab rangoon fan like myself, THEE best around here! They are quick and efficient. Not somewhere I would sit and eat but great for take out. Veggie St Paul, veggie lo mein, fried dumplings, egg rolls, general tso's are all good. They even sell some quality natural care products like lotion, tooth paste, and face masks. My last fortune cookie from there had 4 fortunes in it! Made me feel pretty lucky!
Vegetarian options: Veggie St. Paul, veggie lo mein, veggie fried rice, bean curd dishes
Parking: It's in a strip mall so there is usually plenty of parking close by“

“This is like stepping back into 70's. Sometimes, I am in a retro mood, and this place fits the bill. They don't sell alcohol, but okayed our bringing in a couple of beers. You gotta dine in for the full experience. Where can you order a beef dinner for two with appetizers for under $20? Here!!
Kid-friendliness: Saw high chair“

“What all Chinese take out should aspire to be. Absolutely blown away with my first experience eating Chop Suey. GF and I got the Dinner for 2, sweet&sour chicken and beef and broccoli. Possibly the best egg roll I’ve ever had. Super affordable, large portions and full of flavor. Writing this review in the middle of chowing down. Delicious. 10/10 would recommend to my grandmother.“

“I am very pleased with my service they were quick and pleasant. I'm not sure if it was an accident, but they threw in a couple cans of soda too!! Haven't even tried the food yet, but I've seen many good reviews and so far it's been a great experience. Thanks for your hard work!!**UPDATE**The food was great too! “This was the best Chinese Buffet that I've been to in a very long time. There were plenty of options available, the food was flavorful and delicious, and I didn't try anything that I didn't like. My BFF brought me here because it was her favorite and both my parents said it was also theirs. I will make the trip again and again.“

“This was my second visit to China Wok. It is a family owned and operated business and it was nice seeing Kelly again. The snow storm had complicated the operation of the restaurant that day so our phone in order was delayed from its estimated time. I think Kelly was more upset about this than we were. While waiting I noticed a lot of repeat customers. The food was great and we will be back.“
