“Hong Kong House - How Happy I am to have you opened again! The ONLY Chinese Restaurant in the Alton area that serves REAL Chinese Veggies in their meals - NOT frozen peas, carrots, & corn. I ordered the Veggie Fried Rice - served with thinly sliced carrots, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, baby corn, and bamboo shoots just to name a few. We also had Hunan Chicken Combo Plate with Fried Rice and Crab Rangoon - Yummy. Again lots or real fresh veggies without being over loaded with huge chunks of onion. Love Love Love the food here“

“China King is my favorite Chinese food in this area. Especially if you are a crab rangoon fan like myself, THEE best around here! They are quick and efficient. Not somewhere I would sit and eat but great for take out. Veggie St Paul, veggie lo mein, fried dumplings, egg rolls, general tso's are all good. They even sell some quality natural care products like lotion, tooth paste, and face masks. My last fortune cookie from there had 4 fortunes in it! Made me feel pretty lucky!
Vegetarian options: Veggie St. Paul, veggie lo mein, veggie fried rice, bean curd dishes
Parking: It's in a strip mall so there is usually plenty of parking close by“

“This was the best Chinese Buffet that I've been to in a very long time. There were plenty of options available, the food was flavorful and delicious, and I didn't try anything that I didn't like. My BFF brought me here because it was her favorite and both my parents said it was also theirs. I will make the trip again and again.“

“I order from this place specifically despite having several Chinese restaurants that are closer. The fried rice is the best I've had. The orange, bourbon, and general tsos chicken are all really good. They also work with people to make specialized orders. For example I am allergic to wheat and can't eat the breaded chicken. They make mine without the breading so that I can order the things I really want. I highly recommend.“

“This was my second visit to China Wok. It is a family owned and operated business and it was nice seeing Kelly again. The snow storm had complicated the operation of the restaurant that day so our phone in order was delayed from its estimated time. I think Kelly was more upset about this than we were. While waiting I noticed a lot of repeat customers. The food was great and we will be back.“

“Food is pretty good. My go to dishes are veg egg foo young, s&s chicken, potstickers. Efy not bad but their gravy needs work. Also, if you get veg fried rice or something you have to also ask for egg in it, & you get charged for EVERY LITTLE THING. They charged me pork efy, minus pork, no minus charge, then charged for veggies. Same w/ the rice. They did similar thing on the lomain we ordered. Crazy. The food is good, s&s chicken definitely tasty. I'd go back.“

“I love Chinese food and I have often been disappointed when trying new ones but when I tried China Inn I was not disappointed. We ordered ham fried rice, ham egg foo young, and fried Wong tons which were the only thing I was not a fan of. Over all their food was delicious. I would return and recommend to others.“

“I’m from STL but moved to Nashville. Everytime I come home I GOTTA go to China moon. The crab Rangoon never fails, sweet, hot, and abundant. The rice is really good too. I’m mainly a St. Paul person so that’s what I usually get and absolutely love it! And I got more of my family switching to them as well!“

“This is like stepping back into 70's. Sometimes, I am in a retro mood, and this place fits the bill. They don't sell alcohol, but okayed our bringing in a couple of beers. You gotta dine in for the full experience. Where can you order a beef dinner for two with appetizers for under $20? Here!!
Kid-friendliness: Saw high chair“

“Great STL Chinese food. One of my favorite places.
Vegetarian options: This is your typical Chinese restaurant where you can modify what you want in your order. You can get vegetable fried rice. You can specify what vegetables you want in there and what you don't. You can get vegetable curry, you just tell them you don't want any meat in your curry. I would just note that it's probably cooked on the same thing that the meat is cooked on, so if that is a problem I would suggest you go somewhere else.“

“This is a great little hole in the wall but amazing Chinese restaurant! I stumbled upon it while having a craving for Hot & Sour soup. The location is easy to get to off Lindbergh. I was amazing how many locals were inside ordering food and taking it to go. It seems to be mostly a to go spot. I was given some recommendations right there from some of their most loyal customers. Hands down their general tso chicken was indeed great. And the soup I craved didn’t disappoint! I’ll be back.“

“They are one of my favorite Chinese restaurants i ordered the General Tso's Chicken, Chicken lo mein, plain fried rice and fried wantons. As always, we had leftovers for days. They have the dark fried rice that is seasoned perfectly. They just might make the best wantons that I've had and the egg rolls are HUGE. The inside is clean with a couple of tables, so I guess you could dine-in, but I've never seen anyone do so.
Dietary restrictions: They will prepare each dish as you wish if they are able.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible by wheelchair.“

“The food was great; we ordered pickup and they were still cooking a few items when I got there, so definitely hot. Next time I would ask for a bit more spice on the general Tso, but tasty and the carryout containers are plastic so things didn't leak everywhere transporting it. They had one tiny table but definitely geared towards take-out orders.“

“Best Saint Louis style Chinese food around in the world. I come all the way from Conyers, Georgia just to eat here. I always stop here: when I come home to visit Saint Louis, Missouri. Just wonderful food & great staff. Amazing food & wonderful staff & wonderful customers too. I enjoy talking to customers & catching up on: what is going on in my hometown of Moline Acres, Mo. I grew up in this small town Moline Acres, Mo: so I always come home & stop & visit Moline Acres, Mo & go ti Leawa Chop Suey. The food is just a wonderful part of my childhood. I grew up eating at Leawa Chop Suey: they are like my second family.“

“What all Chinese take out should aspire to be. Absolutely blown away with my first experience eating Chop Suey. GF and I got the Dinner for 2, sweet&sour chicken and beef and broccoli. Possibly the best egg roll I’ve ever had. Super affordable, large portions and full of flavor. Writing this review in the middle of chowing down. Delicious. 10/10 would recommend to my grandmother.“

“I am very pleased with my service they were quick and pleasant. I'm not sure if it was an accident, but they threw in a couple cans of soda too!! Haven't even tried the food yet, but I've seen many good reviews and so far it's been a great experience. Thanks for your hard work!!**UPDATE**The food was great too! “Good "hood" Chinese food. The Special noodles are packed with meat and an ample amount of broth. They also have the egg rolls that I prefer...which have the light and crispy wrapper. However, be prepared the owner (older gentleman) is rude on the phone. He yells at you and rushes you off the phone..?“

“Sooo good! I love you get the fried rice with egg foo yung gravy. The St Paul sandwiches are awesome. Years ago we lived a few blocks away from Chongs. That was 38 years ago. We are there all the time. We now live 26 miles away and make the drive.“
